A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st- through 4th-level characters.

When a group of Pathfinders sent to establish a presence at the Society's new lodge in Sedeq, Qadira, failed to report back, the Society sent a second group to investigate. When they arrived, they found the lodge in disrepair. A powerful genie confronted them, demanding that if they ever wanted to see the missing Pathfinders again, the Pathfinders must complete three tasks for the genie's cruel master!

With the tasks completed and the missing Pathfinders safe and sound, it is now time to prepare the lodge for a grand opening celebration. Important figures from all across Qadira have been invited to attend—including some potential allies—and the Society is counting on its agents to ensure the event goes off without a hitch. The Society's future in Qadira may depend on the success, or failure, of this event!

Unfortunately, the Society's hidden enemy is well aware of the celebration's importance. Outraged by the Society's success in reclaiming the lodge, he has once again laid a trap for the Pathfinders and their guests. One way or another, he intends to exact a terrible price.

Fury's Toll is part of the ongoing story of the Year of Shattered Sanctuaries. It is the second scenario in a two-part arc detailing the events befalling a Pathfinder Society lodge in the nation of Qadira. The first part of this arc is Pathfinder Society Scenario #3-08: Foundation's Price. Other arcs explore other locations across the Inner Sea. While the arcs can be played in any order, it is recommended that players experience the scenarios within each individual arc in order.

Best of Season 3

5/5

This is by far the best scenario of season 3. It has an engaging story line, interesting combats, and skill challenges that felt like more than just a set of die rolls. I don't usually write reviews but I thought this adventure was a cut above the rest.

Too many similar skill checks

4/5

Fun premise, fun "puzzles", but the solutions relied so heavily on the same skill check that only 2 people in our party were able to do much, the rest were relegated to spectators for the most part.

It would be good to have a wider variety of skill checks, and also perhaps the return of the influence encounters, which allow for a slightly deeper dive into the character personality than a simple "you succeeded at diplomacy check, done".

The final encounter was entertaining but a little too easy. Of course, there are narrative reasons for it, but still.

Ooh, nice to see Solomon write a scenario! And an interesting-sounding one at that.

Always glad to see Qadira get some love. I’m bummed that this seems to be the only metaplot in the season set outside of Avistan, but at least we have it.

Rest assured, we'll be visiting a larger variety of areas in the near future.

The Year 3 metaplot was expressly designed to focus on the Inner Sea nations representing past Pathfinder Society factions. Unfortunately, this plan was soon followed by a reduction in the # of scenarios we release in a given year, so our non-metaplot opportunities to visit other regions of Golarion in Year 3 were more limited than anticipated.

It's too soon to talk about future plans yet, but this is definitely something we're aware of as we plot out what's happening next.

As for scenario #3-12, I can't for you all to see what Sol has in store for you!

Appreciate the thoughtful reply - and the hope for the future!

Glad to see two scenarios released a month. Please, please, please make more mid to higher level content, and make them repeatable!

My society characters are 9/7/6/6/5/5/4/4/4/3 and the level 1 is doing bounties. How about some more 5-8s and 7-10s? And make them all repeatable, please. Otherwise, all those ACPs spent I get to play once every 6 months. Thanks for listening.

Really bummed it's a custom map and not Pathfinder Lodge or Noble Estate flip-mat. :(

The Flip-Mat Classics: Pathfinder Lodge may have been a decent fit here, except that this is a NEW lodge. Hence, new map. I'm guessing.

I usually enjoy the custom maps that come in the scenarios, as some of them are really interesting. Some of them I could use again in home games and one- offs. But they are difficult to resize properly onto Roll20 when they have partial squares on 3 sides. The art looks great! And I can easily pick out which room things happened in during Foundation's Price. It's very cool.

I also agree with Sliska Zafir, we need more repeatables. I'd personally like to see replays offered as ACP purchases.

That's my pair of coppers.
