Will we ever see Sorcerer Bloodlines that have descended from Primal Dragons?

I for one just realized it would be pretty awesome to have a Breath weapon that causes Sonic damage.

Just imagining this massive soundwave, which either is or isn't visible, that just causes a Glass Golem to shatter.

And of course there's that little extra bonus that sonic resistance is practically non-existent in the game?

The creator's.

So if a 1st-level cleric gets his mitts on a scroll of animate dead, created by a 20th-level cleric, he could make 20 HD's worth of skeletons?

That's not something we've got on schedule. Furthermore, the design team tends to be pretty hesitant to give out sonic damage options to PCs. Probably rightfully so, since so few creatures are resistant or immune to it.

Assuming the 20th level cleric created the scroll at 20th level (and thus expended the extra gold to do so), and assuming the 1st level cleric makes all the checks to avoid backfires for casting a spell above the level he could normally cast?

Absolutely.

Hmmmm... at this point? The two that I'd most like to look into more that I haven't actually had a chance to look at all at would be:

Huh... I dunno.

But if you change that to the top two games I have looked at but haven't played yet and want to play the most?

Lamentations of the Flame Princess

and

Numeneria

That would make it errata, not a FAQ.

Epic DR was introduced in the Bestiary (or was it the CRB), but how to get +6 was never mentioned until Mythic Adventures faq, hence the question. (for those who don't know where to get the answer, but maybe with Bestiary 4...)

Congratulations! You have crafted a +1 Flaming Rapier. Does your rapier burst into flames when you activate it's fire damage, only leave a trail of fire when you swing it, or only make your enemy burn when you slash him? Is this a preference for when you run games or only personal preference?

It's a flavor question, not a rules question, and you must swing it about when you flourish! That's required with swashbuckling, I believe.

Technically, it should do both, hell, a lot of weapon should do both, but then you would have dozens of weapons that are mechanically the same.

About the alternate profane gifts that a succubus can grant in Demons Revisited, since IIRC you've said before that you were the one who designed the profane gift for succubi in Pathfinder:

1) Is it intended that some succubi could grant all three as well as their regular +2 profane boost? Or should it just be one, maybe two extra?

2) Of the sample succubi you gave (Quilindra, Izmiara, Ayandamahla, Shimandylar, and so on), which of them can grant these additional boons, and which additional boons do they grant? If that would take too much time, then just Ayandamahla is fine.

3) Any chance of meeting Shimandylar in part #4 of WotR? I notice that she stewards the island formed from the corpse of Vyriavaxus.

Should I feel offended over the accusations of powergaming my previous question caused?

Because really, I care more about the interesting look and story a Dragon Disciple of a Primal bloodline would give.

The fact that the breath weapon's damage type or the gained resistances are strong is just a neat added bonus to me.

What are your thoughts on a Prestige Class that grants a character the Order abilities of a specific cavalier / samurai order? A sort of, "this is a prestige class for a high-ranking member of this order," thing.

On one hand, I think it sounds cool that you could take a Prestige Class to become a member of an organization like a cavalier order. On the other hand, it feels somewhat lame because the cavalier and samurai don't have many choices to make in terms of character build aside from order, so I worry that a Prestige Class like this could potentially undermine the Order class feature.

You: Innocents [kidnapped by fiends] don't turn into fiends. Innocents are also far less common than one might think.

From the entry for the chortov (Pathfinder #28, p.81): "goodly souls slain as diabolical sacrifices […] might become prisoners of any one of Hell’s inescapable layers[.] [S]ouls not meant for Hell fail to sustain the plane, collecting in mindless spirit cancers of primal pain and blind rage. From these cysts of wrathful, unrighteous damnation, the powers of Hell forge chains in the shape of terrible armor, creating
within gigantic, barely restrained beings of hatred and living hellfire"

According to Book of the Damned 1 (p.17) "the Lord of the Sixth’s servants perform the “passage through fire,” burning provisions and beasts along with their own young, committing their offspring’s souls to their lord’s infernal legions."

1. How don't these excerpts contradict your claim?

Me: Would a unique monster covered in a bestiary be much less likely to be in an AP?

You: Yes, because unique monsters tend to be very tied to Golarion, and stripping them of that lore to put them in a world-neutral hardcover Bestiary isn't ideal.

2. What about non-Bestiary supplements like Mythic Realms or Inner Sea Bestiary?

3. Does Jatembe use his at-will shapechange ability for recreation purposes? Does he use it to change sexes?

4. Where do legendary spellcasters (Jatembe, Baba Yaga, etc.) get the money they need for their expensive equipment?

5. How do I make a powerful good-aligned NPC work? That is, how do I have the awesome without overshadowing the PCs?

6. What happened to the hero(in)es of previous APs? How exactly do such high-level individuals just disappear or otherwise not get involved in world events?

7. The Oliphaunt has a Diplomacy score of 51! I'm pretty sure that's going to be an unbeaten record. How do you feel about that?

8. Would you explain how horror can work in a game like Pathfinder where the monsters are challenging than, well, horrifying?

9. Since they deal with cultists so much, why don't inquisitors have Knowledge (local) as a class skill?

10. What's your opinion of these dinosuar stories?

I just watched the original Godzilla for the first time last night. I knew coming into it that it was meant to be more a message on the Bomb and weapons of mass destruction. However, I was unprepared as to how utterly bleak and horrifying it truly was. Have you seen this? Also, did you manage to catch the teaser for the 2014 version?

Give them strong backgrounds and motivations that explain why they can't just roll in on the PCs' scene and save the say themselves. Maybe they're powerful rulers who can't afford to be away from their responsibilities (see the Kingdom Building Rules, where a character's absence can flat-out destroy a kingdom). Maybe they're dealing with a much larger threat and delegate the task to the PCs. Maybe they perform a heroic sacrifice and die so the PCs have a chance to actually save the day.

Will any of these monsters be released by Paizo and what are the plans for how soon?

Arrowhawk
Delver
Digester
Ethereal Filcher and Marauder
Formians
Grimlock
Phasm
Ravid
Razorboar
Scorpionfolk
Lavawight
Prismasaurus
The more powerful Brain Collectors
Any other monsters from the ELH (obviously with the CR's bumped right down).
Any more Psionic Monsters (with the Psionic stuff shaved off).

Are there any Golarion necromancers that carry skeletons with them?

Like, say, Johann Faust VIII? (specifically, that's his wife that he's trying to ACTUALLY resurrect, he just hasn't figured it out at this point in the story)

I know it has been stated that what happened to Aroden will never be revealed, but I was wondering out of all the numerous theories that have been presented on the messageboard throughout the years has anybody ever guessed correctly what happened or at least significant parts of the truth?

If you feel offended about accusations of powergaming, then that means that you're looking to gain sonic damage as a breath weapon for the right (flavor) reasons. But I think it might be stretching to see offense in the response. Sonic damage IS the best of the energy damages, in any event, and I'm pretty sure any GM who has a player ask if they can do sonic damage with something will suspect powergaming, so the player who wants it should keep that in mind.

4) The Great Beyond is bigger than you think. AKA: Could be anywhere.

5) By making sure the NPC is either not on screen for a lot of time in your game, or by making the NPC lower level than the PCs, or by doing your best to make sure the NPC respects and supports the PCs.

6) That's not for Paizo to decide; that's for your game to decide.

7) Records are meant to be broken. That said... giving it ranks in Diplomacy feels weird to me; I wouldn't have done that if I were designing/developing it... but it's not the wrong choice, so it stands.

8) If the writer of an adventure or the GM is skilled enough at conveying horror, and your players are openminded and willing to play along... then it works. If not, it doesn't.

9) That's a question for Jason and the design team. I would have given them Knowledge (local) were I the designer though, since of all the Knowledge skills, that's the one that makes the most sense to me that an inquisitor should have.

10) They could stand to pay a bit more money for their cover designs.

I've seen the original Godzilla many, many times. The American version and the Japanese version. Both are pretty bleak and serious... the Japanese one (unsurprisingly) more so. And while most (but certainly not all) of the Godzilla movies moved away from the bleak & serious tone, that tone is what makes the 1st one such a legitimately powerful and excellent movie. And it's what makes Godzilla such an enduring icon.

And yeah; I saw the teaser for the 2014 version... it might just be my favorite movie trailer of all time at this point, since it so perfectly captures the bleak horror of Godzilla.
