Set wrote:Do note that all of these are placeholder coversWhile it in no way makes me want this AP less, I'm hoping to see some melanin on these next three covers, since this is an AP set around the Magaambya.
Yes, final cover art sometimes only goes up on the product page 0-1 months before release date.

I can't wait to try to GM this and accidentally make a class full of obnoxious young students that my players will struggle to want to keep alive. I can envision any Malfoys suddenly getting "lost" in a hurricane...
A good teacher is responsible for taking care of ALL of their students. Even the ones they don't personally like.

Oof. A three week push back bodes very ill for Guns & Gears release date. I hope its more that they were gonna be delayed a week, and it's not cost effective to do releases two weeks apart.
From what I keep hearing, it's largely the AP volumes that are gumming up the timelines. Now, I wouldn't be surprised for a Guns & Gears push-back, but I think the APs falling off the timeline aren't necessarily an indication that the hardcovers will too (as to my understanding the hardcovers typically arrive at the warehouse much earlier).
Crossing fingers anyways!

Fingers crossed for sure!

Any early impressions from subscribers?
I haven't started reading the actual adventure yet (I always start with the lore chapters and toolbox), but the Jula section/gazetteer is really well written IMO. It's history is pretty cool, seeing literally one hardship after another, leading to where it currently is today. Probably my favorite "notable personality" is a thief known for their unique grin, as they replaced their upper left teeth with shark teeth and lower left with a fish-bone ridge (Pronoun They, as the thief is agender).
From the toolbox, there is a branch of Dragon Disciple for Cloud Dragon now, with 4 new feats for it.

Glad you liked them! I wrote that section, with some excellent inspiration from Michelle :)

Spoiler question for folks with it: who are the antagonists?
In terms of groups, The Knights of Abendego.
In terms of antagonists important enough to get an entry in the toolbox:
Ajbal Kimon, a gang leader (of the Knights of Abendego) trying to gain power through sacrifices to Norgorber
Halbrux Far-Sight, a cyclops in a Prison working the prisoners hard and allows her minions to bully them without repercussions.
Thiarvo the Quick, a halfling treasure hunter who has no respect for the Magaambya or archaeological exploration and sees the PCs as nothing more than an impediment to his short-term goal of taking everything of value from Bloodsalt.

Any new player options in this?
Yeah, a ton of new uncommon spells(mostly divine and primal) that the PC's can get access to during the adventure, and a new set of feats for an existing archetype, namely:
The Bloodsalt Dragon Disciple feats, which tie into Dragon Disciple with a focus on Cloud Dragon stuff, due to them being connected to a major location in this volume.
And, of course, cool items and stuff.

Oops, someone done gone messed up. Page 92 reads next month is Doorway to the Red Star, instead of Secrets to the Temple City. I know both books 3 & 4 have been released side-by-side, but that error could throw off or confuse someone buying the physical books from a brick-and-mortar store.
Naive GM: "Ok, my players just finished book 3, where do we go from here..." (flips to back of book) "Ok! Doorway to the Red Star, here we come!"
Otherwise, the adventure looks pretty cool. Have only skimmed it so far, but looking forward to having a deep delve. Riding frogs FTW!

Yes, I am getting feedback Twitter that pages 80 and 92 are incorrect. I've notified the team.

It appears that pages 80-92 were assembled wrong in some issues. Please report what you received to Customer Service so we can track the issue and make amends.

I'm confused. My print copy also has the preview for Doorway on page 92, but that error is also in my PDF. I've checked pages 80–92 in my print copy, and they are identical to the PDF. What's the supposed error with page 80?
Edit: OK;: I've found the tweet referred to by Aaron, it seems page 80 in Secrets of the Temple-City has an error, a mislabeled creature illustration.
So, we have two errors, the wrong preview in part 3 and the mislabeled monster in part 4. Both errors are in print and PDF, I don't think there is any actual wrong print assembly involved.

Pathfinder Battles set 21 has been confirmed to be named "The Mwangi Expanse".
The three premium minis (sold individually) will be:
-Adult Cloud dragon
-Dimari-Diji
-Mamlambo
Knowing Wizkids, these will probably be on gargantuan bases, despite being huge creatures (and maybe upscaled like Treerazor).
There is a thread with pictures over on minisgallery.com.
There will probably be a lot of useful minis for this adventure path in the set.

Agreed. I don't think we have a handle on this. Best to talk to Customer Service. I'll step aside.

I don't think there's anything customer service can do about it. They're misprints, but not really serious ones. It happens.

My experience matches Zaister's.
Page 80 has an error in the *next* volume, not this one. The monster has the same name tag for the image as the page 80 monster in this one (Golgopo).
Page 92 in this one has the preview for book 5 instead of book 4. It appears to match the preview in the next volume (which is correct) exactly.
Both mistakes appear to be in my PDF and printed copies.
Both are very minor and do not bother me in the slightest.
