A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 7-10.

Though the Society has made many discoveries in the distant land of Iobaria, their actions have also triggered a millennia-old demonic ritual. With the Finadar Forest ablaze and the Pathfinder Society's field agents spread across the region, it’s up to the Society’s most senior agents to take command of the Pathfinders and put an end to the expanding demonic ritual. Only when this is done can these heroes confront the spirit of the ancient mastermind who enacted this scheme and possibly be the only thing standing between the spirit’s demon lord master and the world!

    Slighlty anticlimatic, but still fun.

    4/5

This was a very fun scenario, but I think my party comp removed a lot of the teeth that other groups might have experienced. We had 2 cloistered clerics, 2 cosmos oracles, a bard, and barbarian. Each were level 7 or 9, so we hit right at 18 CP.

We finished sub 3 hours with an awkward silence amongst the players. "Was that it?" I asked myself. All the combats were creative, encouraging unusual tactics or bringing unique enemies to the front. Then there's potential for a unique setpiece battle, but it just kinda...ends after you're already invested? I would have rather preferred playing it out without the timer. It might have worked better in the Sagamore for an interactive, when the big bad boss is defeated, and everyone cheers. It just hits different sitting at a computer, and not in a good way.

It's still quality content, but I wish it maybe lasted longer.

a great scenario, great end to the season

    5/5

I played this low tier. extremely enjoyable scenario, quite glad it ended the season this way. challenging but fair. foes worth talking about as a character in the future. and it was great that each encounter led to an even better one.skill check was not too tedious, thank you for that.
I will greatly enjoy running it.

    Solid season ender, but...

    4/5

Context: I'm read this three times and GMed it once for a high-tier, 19 CP table.

The focused scenario aims to deliver an epic experience to wrap up the season, and from my side of the table at least, it seems to have succeeded. I especially appreciated that, despite the scope of the action, the focus was kept squarely on the PCs as the main heroes. Really all you could ask for in a season ender, except for the fact that the chronicle is, once again, barren. This is especially disappointing for the season ender. For this reason I just couldn't give this otherwise excellent scenario a full five stars.

    The good:
    * Editing is mostly solid; I only found a few typos, and one thing missing a spell attack modifier.
    * Challenging combats which require solid tactics, but feel like they stop just short of too difficult at their hardest.

    The bad:
    * Some of the stats and DCs don't appear to have been properly adjusted for levels 9-10; this could be deliberate, but it seems unlikely.
    * A few chunks of text about what the players are expected to do don't *quite* line up with the rest of the scenario. This isn't a big deal if you are familiar with the material, but it could be rough if you're trying to run this after a single read-through.

    The ugly:
    * Another chronicle devoid of interesting gear/boons. Come on, folks...give epic scenarios interesting chronicles!

    (****-)

An epic conclusion to the Season 2 meta plot

    5/5

I was a player in this at full on high tier and it felt quite epic. We felt like high level adventurers doing high level things with lots of assistance from the lower level pathfinder agents. A very satisfactory conclusion to this seasons meta plot.

The combats were all interesting, the flavour was tasty, and the story was advanced in a way that made sense.

Very little roleplaying to be done, unfortunately. This is basically an all action scenario (with, of course, skill checks of various kinds being quite important). But the combats were all fun with opportunities for a wide variety of tactics and characters to shine.

My one objection is that this REALLY REALLY REALLY felt like it should have been an End of Season multi table special. I strongly suspect that it was originally intended as such but that Paizos plans got changed with the pandemic and various fallouts because of the pandemic. It was a heck of a lot more epic than many of the previous PF1 and PF2 season end/start multi player specials.

Challenging, epic and simple to run

    5/5

So this scenario was awesome experience to gm and I think it ended the metaplot on strong note :D It did make appreciate this year's metaplot lot more and I think it helped it wasn't "complex for sake of being complex because its high tier scenario".

Finale with facing Urxehl's right hand was great ;D That spirit got much tougher after second part of Breaking the Storm

    There you go again, Woran!

    Nice job.

This adventure has the Glyph tag. I cannot find anything in the Guide explaining what the Glyph tag means. I suspect it may mean it counts towards the 10 Specials for the 5th Glyph (much like some Starfinder scenarios now count) but it doesnt appear to be explained anywhere.

I asked on the OPO discord and was told it's something completely different and more information is forthcoming. Was I told incorrectly?
