Perfect, will there be interior as well as exterior tiles I am hoping as well?

Thanks

Tom

This looks like a much needed expansion. Hopefully there are interiors!

I have an earlier version of these tiles from Paizo that include

Drawbridge with Moat and Gatehouse
Throne Room and Banquet Hall
Kitchen
Master Bedroom
Treasure Vault
Barracks
Arrow Slit Corridor
Prison

Not saying that they'll do exactly the same thing again, but at least some of those interior spaces are likely to be replicated.

Great great pertinence on this one. Bread and butter of sword and sorcery.

Hope this one is great, because mapping castle is a pain!

I remember the first version in "map pack" format and it wasn't great...

Hoping to see a preview soon!

Hey, just to get some clarification, is this shipping July 28 or August 25? Looking forward to seeing what this looks like!

Just got the Fortress set. A bit of a nitpick, but the arrowslits go the wrong way - they are wide on the outside and narrow on the inside, when the opposite should be true. This doesn't effect the product functionality at all, but it is a bit of an embarrassing mistake, and I've seen this on other map products too. Hopefully Paizo can correct this in future products.

Well I can't get it yet as the PDF is still listed as Unavailable, but a quick search on the net shows castle Hohernzollem in Germany with just that.

Slits angled wide on the outside, can't see the interior though but I bet there are other REAL castles as well that might have this feature. So not a big deal to me as long as they look good for my groups when I run em though it in games :)

Cheers, can we get the PDF fixed ASAP please Paizo?

Thanks

Tom

bad with pics but general info on arrow slits

"The interior walls behind an arrow loop are often cut away at an oblique angle so that the archer has a wide field of view and field of fire. Arrow slits come in a remarkable variety.

The narrow vertical aperture permits the archer large degrees of freedom to vary the elevation and direction of his bowshot, but makes it difficult for attackers to harm the archer since there is only a small target at which to aim."

Yes from Wiki but still makes total sense to me and that variety of styles so me thinks both might have been made/built and put to use in real castles.

Can someone tell me the file size of the PDF? Ty

Wish items like this had some previews so you know what you're buying.

I think the website team just has its hands full at the moment. You can see preview pictures for the set in this blog.

I own this set myself and have really had a blast with it. Outer Fortress is great with thick walls and arrowslits, and a front gate perfect for siege sequences. Interior is filled with labyrinthine corridors great for infiltration or making choking points in battle. Concise, thoughtful design with this one. I highly recommend it.
