This panel ought to cover it, but I haven't gotten around to listening to it yet.

Right now this is looking like one to briefly cancel my subscription for, unless they release more product information that makes this book sound useful for non -society.

I mean, it is Lost Omen book, its going to have lot of flavor and lore and its not like its scenario play exclusive anyway

Flavor and lore are great when it's something I'm interested in. Perhaps previews will change my mind, if they do any.

Can’t wait for the shipping to start and someone to get their copy.
I’m very curious what will be in this. Most of the previous products I could at least guess how it would be laid out, but Legends and this seem a bit different than what I am used to (I don’t recall much about the 1st edition version of this).

Maybe some items or something that can come available to general characters, dunno?
If you're asking about whether or not this book will have value to players who don't participate in Society play, then yes. Luis Loza answered pretty affirmatively in this regard earlier in this discussion. :)

EDIT: The original post was antagonistic and not particularly helpful.
Overall there are several fun Pathfinder Agent feats in the new batch, but two of them (Remember Your Training, Watch and Learn) significantly overlap with the basic Pathfinder Agent Dedication. The latter, in fact, appears completely purposeless. Can I request an errata or the like?

I've pinged the appropriate parties so they can look into it.

I really like the artwork in this book! And, as someone who's only now moving from homebrew settings into Golarion and delving deeper into the lore, the insight into the Pathfinder Society (from what I've managed to read so far) is really great.
There's one thing that's caught my attention, though: isn't the Calligraphy Wyrm meant to be a dragon, rather than a beast? The text seems to imply the former, but it has the trait for the latter.

The art in this is definitely gorgeous, almost cried out a little at how cute the dweomercat cub was and it's awesome to see some disabled character art!
The book sadly has done little to make me more interested in the actual society, albeit it was already one of my least favourite parts of a mostly fantastic setting, but some of the new options are great, I'm so happy to finally have a translator background and the new familiars were an unexpected delight!
A lot of the book really feels like it's desperately trying to portray a very unheroic group as heroes and ends up coming off disingenuous and awkward, quietly acknowledging the use of indentured labour before very rapidly moving on was particularly jarring.
A couple of characters covered were very compelling though, I feel like I could really imagine how the students would all love to crowd around Marcos and ask him for stories.

It does look like the most prominently mentioned one went through some changes in art design. The more recently mentioned ones such as the stag-antlered and tangled briar masks match pretty well with the established descriptions. (Keeping things oblique for spoiler reasons.)
The waterfall mask is lovely.

Not my favorite book we've gotten but its interesting to read about the society, I was especially happy to see Meleeka Sanvara come back as I was wondering about her canon fate after unforgiving fire. I also really enjoyed some of the new familiars (as a librarian, calligraphy dragon is my new favorite) and magic items, and it should make for some fun reading as I dig into the lore entries.
That being said, I expect if I pushed myself to actually play some more society, I'll probably value it more highly as a guide to the characters and factions I'd be interacting with. I'm hoping to do that at some point, so its still kinda neat.
I only wish it had included some guidelines for including and creating adventuring guilds for other campaigns, but its got a clear vision as a golarion lore book, so it makes sense it doesn't have that.

Honestly, I've never liked the Pathfinder Society. I've used them in my games, my Hell's Rebels campaign even ended with its very own Venture Captain San Diego taking up shop in Kintargo. That said...
Not being a PFS player, I skimmed a lot of the book but I did enjoy the discussion on the politics of the Shady leaders of the Society and fall out from that. I also kind of liked the 'We used to be into adventure archeology, but that's kind of in poor taste now...so we're trying not to be Harpers, but...' thing that the Society is dealing with. An organization under change. The lodges were all interesting. I enjoyed the Razmir lodge write up and the political situation of the Mendev Lodge I found strongly compelling.
The artwork is great.
The Pathfinder dedication feats were okay. I like the expansion of the archetype feats as a concept. More feats in the archetype than you could actually pick up in play give players lots of options.
It is a Pathfinder book about Pathfinders and their society, so I have to have expected this, but Weaponized Gambling Rogue/Swashbuckler feats were really fun, as was the Phoenix Style monk feats, but gated behind specific members of the society make it difficult to acquire in general practice. (Which is what rarity is supposed to do, I know). Not well pleased with that, but alas.
Nice book. I'm sure I'll get use out of it.

I'm a bit disappointed that I am not able to get this as the start to the Lost Omens subscription. Is there a reason why you haven't updated the subscription to start with this product. I already own the two products that the subscription says I have to start with and I don't want to buy them twice.

And given the subject of this book, I would be very surprised if the PFS folks are not extra generous with what folks have access to from this book.

I mostly play the regular Paizo APs in Golarion and very rarely some PFS here and there. I noticed the Society is basically a non-factor outside of PFS modules, which makes it really difficult to incorporate them into other Adventures in Golarion.
As it is, it's very difficult to have an AP player character belong to the society, as it'd just overcomplicate party dynamics. This means the PFS have to be used as NPCs, possibly antagonists. Maybe that's something we'll see in the future? Gotta think of some ideas where any of this lore and options would be relevant to players outside of Organized Play.

You could also work with the GM some and readily find a reason to incorporate a Society member into an AP. Hell's Rebels, for example, could have you on a long-term mission to investigate Thrune, or help ferment unrest for some operation, etc. There are reasons a society Agent might be in or caught up in an AP, and depending on how the party is set up and how readily you can make the mission goals align with party/AP goals then it shouldn't complicate party dynamics too much.

Really? I've been playing a Pathfinder Agent for years in four different campaigns, and it's never been any more difficult to fit in than any other PC's organizational alliances. In fact, some were even more difficult to fit in! A red mantis assassin, or a Hellknight have much more rigid guidelines than a Pathfinder. Ultimately, for me, it ends up being a source for the GM to give us quests and info, some supplies, and for me to occasionally have characterful role-plays with. Feel free to DM me if you want to talk more about this.
Anywho, as I said, I've been playing a Pathfinder Agent in a home game for years and years, so I'm bursting with excitement for this book! The changes over the years have been a little hard for me to follow since I don't play PFS, so I'm excited to have it all in one place. I also reference Seekers of Secrets basically monthly, so I'm sure this will have plenty more for me to gawk at.

Little disappointed that book doesn't mention Shattered Star... I'd kinda have thought Xin appearing near Magnimar would be big enough event for local opinions on Pathfinder to go one way, but I guess we won't hear about that unless we have another campaign setting book focusing on Magnimar or Varisia? :'D Still Sheila Heidmarch was just big part of that AP that I thought for sure it woudld be mentioned in the book...
