The Extinction Curse Adventure Path begins! The Circus of Wayward Wonders has just arrived in the remote town of Abberton, and the player characters are the stars of the show! When the ringmaster turns up dead, the fate of the traveling circus and its entertainers hangs in the balance, and the heroes must scramble to put on a successful show and find the killer—all at the same time! Investigations only lead to more questions, and the heroes find themselves center stage in a dangerous, prehistoric plot that threatens not just Abberton, but every inhabitant of the Starstone Isles!

"The Show Must Go On" is a Pathfinder Second Edition adventure for four 1st-level characters. This adventure begins the Extinction Curse Adventure Path, a six-part, monthly campaign in which the heroes lead a traveling circus as they unravel a plot to eradicate all life from the Starstone Isles at the heart of the Inner Sea. The adventure also includes advice on how to run a traveling circus, new circus-themed rules, and a menagerie of monsters both wondrous and wicked.

Each monthly full-color softcover Pathfinder Adventure Path volume contains an in-depth adventure scenario, stats for several new monsters, and support articles meant to give Game Masters additional material to expand their campaign. Pathfinder Adventure Path volumes use the Open Game License and work with both the Pathfinder RPG and the world’s oldest fantasy RPG.

25 APs so far have been built for four players. Don't expect they'll break the streak with #26.

And a possibly stupid question:

I was asked if Extinction Curse required four players.

I didn't believe it, but I came here to find out the range of players recommended. I could not find anything.

Now, I'd assume this AP is just as easy (or hard) to run for five players as any other AP. Please tell me that's the case.

Thx

All encounters are designed and balanced for a four player party of the recommended character level. If you stray outside that you may need to adjust the encounters (and loot) to make them more or less challenging.

All of the APs from the very beginning were designed for four players. From what I've seen, the new ones are just as easy to adjust as the old.

Great, thanks, this is exactly what I was hoping!

Starting at a circus, it seems like it could accommodate seven to nein mighty players.

I see what you did there! ^ The Traveler approves!

After reading the outlines of the 6 volumes of this AP, I am really excited about this.

My group plays Starfinder and is having a great time, but ... man ... maybe I can find an online group for this when it comes out.

Hopefully they don't forget to offer a continuous stream of new recruits - more and more exotic circus performer NPCs for the PCs to interact with as the whole circus levels up :)

Oh, we haven't forgotten that *at all*! As a wholly independent and not-at-all related issue, it's fun deciding what goes on the inner covers of our adventure path volumes...

Just like all our APs, this one assumes a four-person party. It's just as easy to adjust as our other APs have been (and, I now realize, I don't think I've ever personally run or played in an AP with exactly four people).

What I want to know is if the adventure features Jim Broadbent and Nicole Kidman absolutely killing it.

When can we expect a Players' Guide for this AP?
