The goblins of the Crookedtoes tribe suddenly find their bellies empty and growling for food. Worse, the tribe's best scout has gone missing, and the chief has tasked the brightest members of the Crookedtoes to go out into the woods and find out what happened. While searching for the missing scout, the goblins stumble across a wrecked farmhouse on a hill and discover a group of knights besieged by an undead army. Now, the new heroes must test their mettle—will they fall to the mighty zompigs or emerge as victorious heroes?

We Be Heroes? is a Pathfinder Adventure Card Game adventure designed for starting characters. It requires the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Core Set to play. If you have only the Core Set, you can play this adventure with 1-4 characters. To play with 5 or 6 characters, you will need to either add characters and appropriate boons from an Adventure Path box, or add 1 Class or Character Deck for each additional player.

Do I get this right that this product is just the story book and no physical cards of the characters exist?

That's correct, the character cards are within the story book. From what I understand, they are printed in such a way that you can actually cut them out.

You will need at least two books (more if you want an unmarred copy) to cut out all of the cards: the three story banes and the cohort are printed back to back, but not lined up. The banes shouldn't be a problem as they are never in play together, but the cohort will need to be displayed by the druid deck during play.

:( I'll be doing a photocopy, then. That's not ideal.

Don't forget that the product will be available as a free PDF on July 1.

You don't really need to have card-sized objects for the story banes or the cohort. (If you're playing the character who has the cohort, you'll display it as soon as the game starts, and it never leaves play, so it never really has to be anywhere else. (Yes, legally speaking, you would add it to your hand after you draw your starting hand, and the first opportunity you have to display it is just after the first character advances the hour, so it's technically supposed to be in your hand for like 2 seconds, but I wouldn't worry about that.)

The book itself is printed on a very thin paper stock (I thought it would be printed on the same stock that the RPG free RPG day books would be on and I expected them to be thicker) and even if you cut them out you'd probably have to paste them on a thicker board for it to work. Sad, but I'll probably just photocopy and sleeve them.

I know you don't need to have the card-sized objects, it's just that the card-sized objects make it less awkward since you don't have to pass the book around.

I wonder if DTRPG or someone could actually release a POD package we can buy. I'd probably get a bunch and distribute them.

Same here, I would order a bunch of these and hand them out at conventions and such.

I just wanted to check here. Are these cards in the new card frame or the old one? I am just asking because I don't see any new frame cards on DriveThruCards.

Also, if you guys can put new frame cards out there, any chance you can put the promos for the game out there. I have not seen them anywhere and would love to get my hands on them.

They are in new frames (matching Core and Curse cards). Here’s an image of them.

In case anyone ends up on this page wondering where the role cards for these 4 goblins might be, you can find them in the character sheets pack downloadable here.
