...Well, all books with new deities or more details on older ones are my favourite books really :p But this one is especially great since it features lot of deiteis outside the Inner Sea region.
There is some wonky art on this one (Chaldira's article for example, her art feels uncanny in same way as Charon's art from Book of the Damned does for me. Those gnolls have really weird faces as well, they look almost monkey like instead of hyena like). In case of Grandmother Spider I'm confused if they accidentally got the worshipper and deity picture wrong way around since if they are in correct order, there is cute spider worshipper of her and then she appears in human like form. I'd have thought the human with multiple arms was the worshipper and cute spider picture was her.
But yeah, Grandmother Spider and Hei Feng are my favourite articles in this book :D Though they are all great yeah.
Are there any more details anyone feels comfortable sharing about Magrim? I recently joined a Carrion Crown AP in-progress, bringing in a cleric to replace the oracle who had to leave the group. I felt a priest of Pharasma would be "too obvious" so I went with a dwarf priest of Magrim, before hearing about this book.
We just recovered the Raven's Head mace, so if there's any fluff in Magrim's write-up that would help me convince my GM that he's "close enough" to being a dwarf version of Pharasma, I'd be eternally grateful!
Summer equinox?
pages 44,56, 62 all mention the summer equinox. I assume this really means the summer solstice, as one does refer to being when daylight is longest.
My funds are limited, but I bought this just for Grandmother Spider. Hopefully we'll get more info (& playable stats) for the anadi and double hopefully a visit to Nurvatchta before too long.
Regarding the collective vision boon of Tsukiyo, which permits to target a foe at 30 feets max rather than a melee touch for the vision of madness domain power, does it still require a touch attack roll per target ? A ranged touch attack roll perhaps ?
Also as the vision of madness is a spell like ability, using it modified by collective vision still makes it a Sp and not Su ?
