Starfinder Core Rulebook Special Edition Hardcover

Thank you Franz, that makes perfect sense.

We plan on sending out an email to accounts that purchased the Special Edition letting them know they should check their bindings as some of these likely have been put on the shelf without being opened since purchase. I'm waiting for updates and approvals on the initial text, we'll need to send it out, and give people some time to check their books and email us if they need replacements. We're probably looking at several months before any extras might potentially be available.

Hi Sara. I’m keen to grab another copy of this if you’re satisfied you’ve replaced the defective copies you’ll need to replace. Any chance some more might be released into circulation?

Does this reprint contain the updated rules errata that have been released since the first printing?

No - it isn't a recent reprint. When the game launched, there was a widespread (though not universal) problem with the binding. Paizo organised a batch to be reprinted so that people could exchange their defective copies.

Now that it's been a couple of years, they've put the small handful of replacements they didn't end up needing back on sale. This batch has no systemic binding issue, but it is internally identical to the book as the game launched.

How many of these do you have available for sale? Will the end up showing up on amazon for $20 like I have seen for the playtest ones?

We don't generally release print run sizes or specific inventory levels on any of our products (apart from occasional blogs where we let people know when things are about to sell out).

The Starfinder Core Rulebook Limited Edition is a paizo.com exclusive product, so the only way it could show up on Amazon is if somebody bought it from us and then listed it as a third-party seller on Amazon. Listing it at $20 would be a money-losing proposition for them.

have these reprints been updated with the new errata from the ships and variety of errors in the first printing?

They won't do 2nd Printings of the Limited Edition. The Normal version for sale still appears to be using the 1st printing.

That was when the game was launched so they probably did a second run immediately then due to demand and the issues that time with the printer.

The "2nd" printing the previous poster was talking would be one that incorporates errata and other fixes like when Paizo does other normal hardcover reprintings. They're not going to be making any more of these.

They did a second printing due to the widespread binding/glue issue. Its identical to the first printing.

kinda wish I could buy 5 of these, so that when my big campaign finally ends, I can give them to the players as a thank you for the memories. But the limit is 1/customer XD

I’ve bought multiple copies. I think the limited/customer isn’t a thing any more.

I would pick a book like this up IF it consolidated all the class, skill, feat and archtype rules under one cover.
