Standing alone in a vast area of dismal moors and tangled thickets is White Plume Mountain, an almost perfectly conical volcanic hill formed millennia ago from the slow leakage of lava. About 1,000 yards in diameter at the base, the peak rises about 800 feet above the surrounding land. The white plume that gives the mountain its name and fame is a continuous geyser that spouts from the very summit. The spray shoots 300 feet into the air, then trails off to the east under the prevailing winds like a great white feather. The water from the geyser collects in numerous depressions downslope that eventually merge, creating a sizeable stream.
The nearest village, Yellowreach, lies about 5 miles from the mountain along the Yellow Flow River (so named for the sulfurous deposits along its banks). The villagers know of the mountain and its surroundings, as well as details of the only entrance (see Beginning the Adventure, below), but they generally give the area a wide berth. Any adventurers bold enough to set out for White Plume Mountain are regarded as either very brave or very foolhardy.
Steam vents pierce the mountainside in various spots, but none of them is large enough to allow entry. The only possible entrance to the volcanic cone is a cave on the south slope. This cavern, known as the Wizard’s Mouth, is about 8 feet in diameter and 40 feet long. Near the ceiling at the far end is a long, horizontal crevice about 1 foot wide. Periodically, air is sucked into this crack at great speed, creating a loud whistling sound and snuffing out torches. After a few moments, the rush of air slows down, stops for about 2 seconds, and then the air rushes out again in a great blast of steam. The steam is not hot enough to scald anyone, but it does make the cave uncomfortable, like a very hot sauna interrupted by blasts of cold air.

Alright, I do believe I'm ready. I spent an extra 100gp each making the Tent and Bedroll "luxurious", I'll leave it up to you if that has any actual in-game effect.
+1 Mithral BP costs 5350gp
200 Breastplate
150 Masterwork
4000 medium mithral
1000 +1 enhancement
what did you calculate it as?

Here we go ... Working on a description and background.
Almost have his feats done too.
This isn't an extended campaign, so perhaps Craft Wondrous Item would be better replaced with something else, however I'll allow you to have 1 wondrous item up to 7500gpv, not 10kgpv. [gotta be fair to the others afterall.)
(though if everyone finishes this adventure, who knows, maybe I'll run another classic adventure...or if a say, 4 of 7 want to continue)

Pretty much done, want to go over the stats and stuff again to check it all over, but added most of the items I think I need. Background has some updates and changes as in the recruiting thread.
Hope she cuts the mustard....

I know that you are pushed for time, but I wondered what you have in mind for the timetable to choose the party and start the adventure?
I've finished doing my character now, it will have all the faults Ive left her with, any more is just nervous tinkering, which I must stop!!!

Xaldinaar the Ancient |
ok all my gear is bough save for 900 which i need to go look at spell components. And I need to select my spell memorized. Other then that I am good to go
0 STR 10
5 Dex 14 +2 race5 Con 14 -2 race
5 Int 14 +2 race (+2 enh)
3 Wis 13 +1 advancement
2 Cha 12
(20)
So final should be
STR 10
Dex 16
Con 12
Int 16 (18)
Wis 14
Cha 12
correct?

Looks like we are off....cool...
Just wondered what the party consists of...
unless I missed it elsewhere, being as we are going straight into the mountain without some introductions.
For those who haven't been over to my character,
Jequine is a striking female Shadow Dancing/Rogue, who men often want, but fail to find when she wants to be anonymous. Many men have funded her activities either because they wanted to give gifts, or because Jequine took the gifts for the trouble she went to putting up with that particular partner. She is in need of being away for a while, so has joined your group of adventurers.

The group has been brought together by the Pathfinder Society. You're all wither Pathfinder full members, or those who have contacts...I guess you hadn't read the background info I posted already...

Wait, am I playing a Cavalier in a game where having a horse will be useless? Please tell me the while thing won't be a dungeon crawl.
Well, White Plume Mountain is a classic dungeon crawl...there are some quite large areas within the dungeon...and also some areas where a horse may have a bit of trouble passing...Regardless, your inspirational abilities would be quite useful, now if you were a halfling on a dog, it might be easier...
I can pull out some other classic stuff that's not dungeon next perhaps...

Can we make the charge stuff work on foot, let me swap the feats and give him an animal companion instead? Call him a "knight" for flavor?
I'd rather that than you change the whole campaign on account of me.
Never really liked playing halflings.

gnomes?
so would you stay with Cavalier?

Final last-minute changes complete. I had missed a line that said I got to choose four class skills for my Eidolon, so I added the class skill bonus to Intimidate and swapped Sense Motive for Escape Artist to be more dungeon-friendly. It fits well with the "slender" part of the description.

Guess I could stay without the changes, it just eliminates an entire class feature, but hey, maybe that'll just lead to more rp opportunities, although I'd probably swap powerful charge for something else.

OK, but I'm a little confused as to the makeup of the party, just wanted to start off a list of who's in the party and what they are.
So far I know we have...Jequine Human Rogue/Shadow Dancer
Geraint Altidor Human Cavalier
Sheridan Barlow Human Summoner
Hanathan Elven Witch
...so filling in the rest would be quite useful, or is that the complete set?

Yep, but I still can't work out a list of characters.
So far I get..Jequine Human Rogue/Shadow Dancer
Geraint Altidor Human Cavalier
Hanathan Elven Witch
Sheridan Barlow Human Summoner
...any more in the party, hoping a cleric might turn up...

Hanathan Elven Witch (seekerofshadowslight)
Sheridan Barlow Human Summoner (far wanderer)
Delwyn Mane Half-elf Mystic Theurge (TLD)

Valanos, good to see you started in the same vein as me. The first real roll, with all my pluses, so pretty confident....yep a 1 on the old perception roll...and straight away its trouble.
Glad I got company at the 1 end of the rolls....
Anyway, good to have you with us.
