It is clearly a gnome rogue, not a wizard, but that's okay. The bright pink hair gives it the feel of an evil Troll doll (minus the bare butt and jeweled belly button). I like the one yellow boot. It gives a little color to the otherwise dark outfit. The facial details are not half bad.

Out of spells? I have knives!

3/5

A good piece that I'd have actually pegged as a rogue rather than a wizard. It suffers from the "we have a lot of dark paint, let's use it all!" style of painting that seems to be going around. The eyes are fine on the mini, although the mouth is hard to see. And for a gnome is sure isn't very colorful! Hair is mundane, robes are dark and so on. The sculpt and pose are fine, and its utility give it an average rating.

Once again, dark & glossy paint obscures the details of another potentially interesting figure.

Nobody but me seems to be complaining about the boot being painted wrong. Am I missing something? Is it supposed to be mispainted? All three of mine and all others I have seen have both boots painted different colors, making me wonder if it was meant to look silly like this. I personally painted mine to have both boots black, within 10 minutes of opening them, my ocd just can't handle the different boot colors. I also painted one to look like Bassy from Dragon's Demand.

The artwork is based on the mage spy from the NPC Codex. The illustration has the mismatched boot colors, so that's why the mini does as well. I can totally see why it would be annoying though, especially as it doesn't look on good on the mini as it does in the art.

:) Thanks!!! It seemed too obvious to be a mistake, but the paint job makes it look like they accidentally painted a boot flesh color, even though it is a slightly different color than the skin. Hopefully I'm the only one it bugs, I'm definitely happy with my decision to paint both boots black.

If one boot was black and the other was the same pinkish-purple as the hair, I might like that.

I have to admit I didn't notice the boot until I went back and looked. I thought it was just a part of their leg, and frankly I was too distracted by the hair color -- mine is a shade of purple that looks brown under most conditions.
