Ummmm....what happened to part 10 guys?

Frog God Games

Part 10 is up on our website, not sure why it isn't up here.

Are subscribers still getting emails when there are new releases for Slumbering Tsar? I haven't gotten one in ages to let me know there is a new volume out and I'd like to make sure it won't interfere with receiving the hardcover when it is released.

I also did not get an email for the past two volumes. When I saw the announcement here for Volume 11 I found one of my old emails to access the ezine subscription and download the past to Volumes.

I've pinged the folks at Frog God about Slumbering Tsar #10, but just to make sure that any future posters don't get confused, the Slumbering Tsar subscription is only through Frog God's website, not Paizo.

Frog God Games

I've re-sent the files to Bill so that he won't have to root around for his digital copies. We'll hopefully have this to Liz and her cohorts soon.

Add me to the list of subscribers not getting any emails w/ links when a new chapter comes out. I've had to bug Bill Webb a few times, and the last time he sent me something, b/c he had a virus on his Yahoo account, I'm stuck getting spam for eternity, even through my spam filter.

I don't understand where or why the breakdown in emails occurred, but it's annoying when you preorder the whole package and then have to scrounge around on the internet to find the latest chapter.

I understand also this isn't Paizo's problem, but there was a thread so I decided to vent...

You were given one email with your link and your password when you purchased the subscription to Slumbering Tsar. Everyone who subscribed was given their own email and password.

It should have come from Bytes Interactive, not Bill Webb. You got one of those, you do not need another one. I recommend you flag it if you have not already done so.

That link lets you get to the Bytes Interactive download site and after putting in your user name (the email address you used when you subscribed) and your password, you have access to every pdf you have purchased from Frog God Games available for download.

I don't actually remember Bill ever promising to email each and every subscriber when a new chapter became available. We try to post the availablity on various messageboards and on our facebook page as well.

Frog God Games

I think that there should have been an e-mail from Bytes Interactive when there's a new file to be downloaded. I'm not 100% certain because I don't deal with that part of the process at all (I just send files to Bill) and I don't subscribe for obvious reasons. :)

Actually, no, Bytes Interactive only sent the one email, with link and password. There were no subsequent emails no matter how many FGG products I had purchasesd after my initial purchase.

Dark Archive

Yeah, there has never been update email when a new chapter has been released, Bill has usually done one of his update posts letting people know.

I have usually gotten emails from Bill indicating when the newest chapter was up for download, but the last one I got war for Temple City Part 5. Since then I've had to check from time to time.

Is this the last chapter anyway and I do not have to look for others? And I would say it is not much of a subscription if no one notifies us that the next chapter is available. I am not much of a complainer but it is annoying.

I had subscribed to Monte's Dungeon a Day thing but eventually dropped it because I am a busy person and having to go find out what has been released got to be too much for me to keep track of. I think the idea was good but no reminders made it drop off my radar in just a few weeks.

Frog God Games

Chapter 14 The Hidden Citadel Part 6 Caverns of the Barrier is the last chapter.

For those who directly ordered from Frog God Games rather than from Paizo:

I can confirm that all of Slumbering Tsar 1 - 11 are up on the E-Zine Subscription side of APlus download service.

The corrected version of ST 11 has not yet been uploaded. So those of you who haven't yet downloaded it may want to wait for the correct version. Alternatively you can just use the corrected stat block for the Chaos Sphere posted by Greg Vaughan in a separate thread.

Dawn has it correct--I did not email after I found out the file was bad--new one in progress and sorry for the delay. I'll have it up everywhere later tonite, and will send an email to subscribers when its done.

Someone review it already!! *grin*
I'm looking forward to hearing what the reviewers think. I've found the reviews posted on the other chapters to be very helpful as I piecemeal together my own version for the finale of my homebrew Golarion campaign.

Thanks to Zaister & Shem for proving I wasn't making that up, about getting emails telling us a new chapter was out. Which stopped after a certain, indeterminate point.

Anyway. I'm done carping. I do enjoy the product very much, and I guess I'll just find out from places like these boards when a new chapter comes out. Only 3 more to go after all.

Thanks.

Like I said, I was making guesses as I really have no idea how that side of things is done.

I'm sorry if it came across that I was saying anyone was making anything up.

A big mistake you guys are making throughout this series that I've noticed is in the stat blocks. You are giving favored class hit points to monsters that only have racial hit dice. A comparison with the two Paizo Bestiaries reveals this to be an error. This is presumably because you've misread the line from the first Bestiary that says the first class listed in a monster's stat block is it's favored class.

No Bestiary monster gains favored class hit points or skill points and thus you might want to clean up your monsters before the big book comes out. It's not a game breaker and plenty of GMs will be happy to leave the hit points as is to keep the critters on their feet longer. Just wanted you to know about this because it is so prevalent.

I'm not aware that we've done that on any monsters. Could you provide an example? I'm curious to know how that might be creeping in there.

Sorry for butting it, but I was posting on TS #7, and I had still had my PDF when I read this post- Would an example be something like the Lurker Wraith in TS #7? A couple of the monsters in #7 have a "plus XX" listed in their HP line in addition to HP gained by their Con bonus. I'm not sure if that's what the poster above was thinking or not. Or am I crazy? :)

Hmmm, could be. In the example of the lurker wraith you mentioned, the additional hit points are from the application of its Toughness feat. That might be what Gururamalamaswami was interpreting as favord class hp.

Aha! Yes, the other monsters in #7 with the plus HP, also all have the Toughness feat. Thanks, Greg, that answers my question anyways (and next time I'll learn to not be lazy read!). Though in my defense, I'm multitasking eating dinner, watching TV, and writing progress reviews.

No problem! I appreciate the critical eye that folks are giving this book, because we are using it to make corrections in the final. If one just happens to be okay after all, that seems like good news to me. So keep 'em coming, you and everybody. A thousand sets of eyes making an editorial pass is WAY better than my two. :-)

And swami, if that is not an example of what you were talking about, let me know that too, because I do want to get that fixed if it is an issue. Thanks!

Toughness. Crap. Still playing 3.5. Pay no attention to that Guru behind the curtain. Terribly sorry.

I really really love the TLC you are giving to monsters from the Creature Collection series throughout these modules. These things will be a big surprise for a lot of my players.

I got to tell you guys as I go through all 11 of these I have to tell you I am hating your maps.

Due to poor design and poor shading they are very difficult to visually see and understand.

Have you guys thought about putting a Map Artist to task on these?

Edit: They are bad enough That I am thinking twice about getting any more Adventures from you guys. The writing may be great but if the Map is unreadable it makes it useless in my mind.

Dragnmoon: Can you give specific examples? I haven't had any problems with their maps - other than a weird PDF issue in one of them.

Examples? Just look at them. They are thin Lined, hard to distinguish between walls/room/hallways/doors. And the shading makes it hard to distinguish where something ends and something begins.

It seems to me anyone looking at them would notice it, it seems like it is an obvious issue.

My guess is he means the parchment look to the maps. Which while it might look more real like a actual map. Is brutal on a printer and does make things a little harder to read than a black and white map would be.

Of course i could be wrong and he might mean something else. i don't have trouble reading them, but I don't think they are as clear as they could be and I sigh when thinking about printing them.

I think the biggest issue is distinguishing between a graph line and a wall/door/ or anything else they just all blur together because they are almost the same shade.

The last couple comments caused me to go look at some of the maps to see what I thought. I have not previously opened any of my PDF's because I am not sure when I might run this and I often do not look at things I am not getting ready to run in case I end up playing.

So, I can see what Dragnmoon is getting at but I do not see the issue. I feel i was able to distinguish a door, from a wall, from a gridline without much difficulty.

I am not sure about DM's comment because I have not printed any of them and do not plan to for a while.

A couple of notes to the Frog God guys:

As of a few moments ago, the PDF I downloaded from bytes interactive / aplusdownload.com is still showing the 2d8 table on page 42, as opposed to the corrected 2d10 table.

Another note is that on DriveThruRPG, the Northlands Saga #2 is not availible, and Slumbering Tsar #5 and #7-11 are not available.
