My game changer for step 3 was a 1" circle craft punch. Less than ten bucks on amazon. Not having to cut the bases by hand really saved me time(& hand cramps)

Aweseome! I need one of those.

Thanks CJ! Assembly took maybe a couple hours spread out over time.
- Step 1 print all
- Step 2 score and fold/glue all. set under books to press & dry.
- Step 3 cut out each and glue to baseMy game changer for step 3 was a 1" circle craft punch. Less than ten bucks on amazon. Not having to cut the bases by hand really saved me time(& hand cramps)

Well, good work! They look great!
I actually switched to square bases for Skull & Shackles because I thought no one liked the circular bases. I guess you could still use the craft punch if you needed too? Maybe?

Thanks HangarFlying, I was just about to go look for that link myself.
Kajehase, do you have a pic of converted food package mini? So you're saying something like a cereal box cardboard would work?

No pics as of yet, but yes, unless you have thicker cereal box cardboard in the States than we do in Sweden, that should be about the right size (folded, mind you).

Sounds great, hopefully someone can post a tutorial for people who might want to do it.

Yes, they were updated a few weeks ago.

Callous Jack,
Have you been approached to do non-modular based paper mini sets. Would love to see more of your paper minis in the future! Reminds me of the Steve Jackson Paper Heroes collection (Touch of old school gaming flavor IMHO). I saw your art style changed throughout the process towards a more serious realistic style and less cartoony (which I love btw). Was that your conscious decision or a request from Paizo?

No, no one has ever put in a proposal. Honestly, the sets I do for Paizo take up a decent chunk of time and I don't really have more to give for other paper mini projects unfortunately.

(Thanks, glad you like it!) No, Paizo never made any requests with the art style. There were already established paper mini artists when I started so I tried to do a more cartoony style to mesh better with their work. After getting the feel of doing the sets, I just gradually shifted back to the way I like to draw. Now after doing 1000+ minis, I've just adjusted to what works best for time constraints and my sanity.

Just took a punt and purchased. Can't assemble for a couple of weeks but, glancing at the .pdf, the set looks to be exactly what I need to flesh out Sandpoint in my upcoming ROTL game.
It's disappointing that some key characters don't look anything like how they've been established to look in official Paizo art, but I would imagine this is simply Jack's own personal interpretation of the characters based on text description, right? In most cases it won't matter a bit, and where I personally see a difference too large, a mini instead can be used as a different character entirely, so it's all good.
I'll give a proper review once this set has been game-tested.
Aside to PAIZO webstore staff - having some form of preview of the paper mini products beyond the front cover would be really appreciated. In this case I think I'll be happy with what I've paid for but, as I said, I was really taking a punt here, not quite sure what I was getting.
