Deep in the wilderness stands the legendary Spire of Iron and Crystal, a bizarre structure of twisting iron and four enormous crystals that seem to grow from the very ground itself. The fabled riches of the Spire have never been plundered, for no entrances have ever been found... Until now. Your party of adventurers has discovered the long-hidden secret of entering the Spire.

A Frog God Games adaption of the Swords & Wizardry adventure for parties of 4-6 adventurers, levels 5-8. This adaption uses the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game system rules.

FGG has declared war on my wallet, it seems... :D

Frog God Games

This is a cleverly done adventure, but then all of Matt Finch's stuff is clever. :)

What level is this?

Frog God Games

Back cover says levels 5-6, inside text says for 4-6 characters of levels 5-8. I'd go with the higher levels if you have fewer characters. As always, these old school adventures keep PC's on their toes.

Reviewed here, on DTRPG and sent to GMS magazine. Cheers!

Thanks for the excellent review End!

Right here at Frog God Games home site!

Frog God Games

To add - I'm not sure why the PDF hasn't been made available to Paizo yet.

Shadow Lodge

My one criticism is the cover. I would have preferred the original. I'm NOT a fan of the One Night Stand stock cover.

You're welcome, everyone! I'm catching up with FGG atm - expect the whole Splinters of Faith series and some other modules as well. :)

Frog God Games

4 out of 5?!?!?!!?

While I do have mad respect for Endzeitgeist's reviews (they are one of two peoples reviews I read on a regular basis), I have to ask others to take in mind the big issue End has with the BBEG is story related. I do the Pathfinder conversions for many of these, and the game-rules don't always allow a good story line to come through exactly as the author would like. If there is any blame to be put (I dont think thats really what End was going for, either), it certainly isnt on Matt, its on me, and Ill take the hit for this not being a 5 star adventure (even though it is!) :-)

PS End, if I ever catch you at PaizoCon or anywhere else, the first round is one me, and we can discuss reviews!!!

Don't fall for it, End.

Skeet has...

Yeah, it is, but it also makes his unique ability rather ineffective and I'm a sucker for deadly boss-fights. :) My main griope and the reason for "only" 4 stars is that the hamster-style set-up and special nature of the dungeon isn't utilized to its maximum capabilities.

It's still a great module!

I'd love to and perhaps, if the stars are finally right, I may be living and working in the US of A next year, so Paizocon suddenly seems much more likely to happen. :)

I have a question about the S&W version. What level PCs are suggested? Maybe im blind, but i couldnt see any suggested ranges anywhere...

I believe its intended for levels 5-6.

Thanks. :)

I do have an issue with the pdf vs the print versions of this module. [I do not know if this issue extends to other Frog God Game products.] The monster listings for some of the monsters are done in detail on the print version, yet are shortened to just a synopsis in the pdf.

You'd think that there would be more room to add information to the pdf than on the printed version of the module.

Overall, I like the module alot; however, this is mostly due to the unique map. I added a different story overlay to match my local campaign.
