Replaced by the Player Core and GM Core series. My favorite TTRPG had a great beginning with this book.

In my opinion - one of, if not, the best system.

Update: FYI, the Core Rulebook has now moved to backorder status. You should still be able to place orders and redeem Humble Bundle codes for it.

Will this delay any current orders? I purchased a physical book through Humble Bundle last week

Physical? If so, where did you get it?

I love PDFs, but for corebooks I usually get both.

Yes, I think I ordered the PoD here.

Are the books that fulfill the backorders going to be a second printing?

Check your order and look at transit estimate. If it hasn't been shipped yet, it is delayed.

Is there any chance of Paizo producing and selling Core Rulebook errata stickers so we may replace the existing text in our physical books with the official rules post-errata?

I have ammended the text in my physical book by printing the errata, cutting and pasting it into my core rulebook with restickable glue, but I feel a much better option would be officially produced errata stickers that can be stuck in the book over the incorrect text to correct it, while also preserving the original text font and background art.

I think that's a neat idea!

I believe they said on the stream that stickers were neat but they wouldn't be sufficient.

Thanks Sporkedup, I asked the question during the stream, I guess I missed the reply :( ...but I'd still happily pay for errata stickers. ;)

If we are waiting for a reprint on the Humble Bundle order, any official word on how long that will be?

On the Humble Bundle page under the core rulebook it says:

BACKORDER NOTICE: Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Humble RPG Book Bundle: Pathfinder Second Edition by Paizo Inc., Paizo’s supply of physical Core Rulebooks has been completely extinguished. Customers who purchase this tier will have their Pathfinder Second Edition Core Rulebook orders fulfilled in November, when the new shipment of Core Rulebooks arrives from the printer. That note wasn't there when i ordered it.

It was added a couple days later, when they discovered they were about to run out of books.

Is there any way to change the shipping address for the physical copy? I ordered this through the humble bundle and the wrong address is listed for shipping. I called their phone number which I learned is down, then sent an email, but have gotten no response.

Check out the Customer Service Forum

Do 2 things there
1. Make a post saying you need to change the physical shipping address (don't put the actual address in the post).
Posts are answered from the bottom up, so bumping your post (or anyone else's for that matter) puts you at the back of the queue. Don't add on to anyone else's post; don't impatiently bump your own.

2. Keep an eye on the Customer Service Status thread to see when they will be getting to your email.

If they get to your email before they respond to your post, then you can bump your post with a thank you to let them know the matter has been handled.

I purchased the book via the Humble Bundle back in July and didn't understand that I had to come to this website to redeem a purchase code. Now (Oct 2020, Year of the Doom), I've tried to redeem it. I get a message that reads, "That code is not recognized." Is the code still valid, or have I missed out?

I'd suggest contacting customer support for this. I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.

Was just checking in on the thread to note that the CRB is still on backorder, and saw your post. It looks like you already redeemed it on your account in July and you are all set. You should be able to see your order in your order history, and I resent the confirmation email as well.

I ordered a second copy via the Humble Bundle (eternal GM) and I'm not seeing the order on my account.

On the code redemption screen, have you filled up the "Place your Order" stuff under the list of all the codes you redeemed?

If you have lot of redeemed codes like me, it's quite hidden, and there's nothing telling you it's there if you never did that before.

So I'm not sure if this was intended or not but in the new (2nd printing) version of the PDF almost all of the text in the 1st chapter has is set to be much darker than the text elsewhere in the book. This change is present in both the "single file" and "OneFilePerChapter" versions of the PDF, was wondering if anyone else was seeing the same issue that I am.

I noticed the same! I thought maybe my copy downloaded corrupted so I was gonna try redownloading. If others are seeing it too, then there might be a slight booboo with the PDF?

Yeah I'm guessing there was some error with how that text was saved or something, if you're still looking to read this version of it Adobe reader actually displays the text in a readable form compared to how it's displayed in the chrome pdf viewer or other applications. Hope it gets resolved soon though.

If I were to order a hardcopy today, would it include v1 and v2 errata? If not, is there any estimate on when we might have hard copies with all errata updates?

I would say you will never get a hardcover edition with all errata updates, as we will always find new errata in any edition.

The first printing sold out a couple of month ago, so yes, if you order now you'll get the errata that have been released. (The current printing even have some errata that are missing from the FAQ page.)

I found some are some minor problems with the second print PDF, which were not present in the first PDF. First of all, in some pdf reader apps page numbers are shifted and if i want to see page X i have to type x+1 into page number field. I don't remember ever having this problem with first PDF. Second of all, some navigation links disappeared, like in the treasure chapter there is no navigation for Armor category. Also previously there was a nav link for every single spell description, but now only categories for specific letters remain (A, B etc) - I prefered the old way, was far easier to jump to desired spell. I hope it will be fixed in the future tho :)

2nd printing chapter 1 of the pdf has text that has been bolded so much I feel like my eyes are going to bleed. Thankfully absent elsewhere in the book.

Finger of Death is missing the Negative trait. It should have the Negative trait, because it deals Negative damage.

Not sure if this is the place to post this, but I can't find a place specifically dedicated for reporting printing errors.

Been reading through the CRB tonight and the bolder text is really noticeable, especially when comparing with the 1st Printing .PDF. Is there any word as what's happening with the .PDF that's caused this? Or any word when it might be adjusted?

If the pdf is getting checked, can we please get a bookmark for difficulty classes back. It had a bookmark in 1st printing, and must be one of the most referenced sections.

Has Paizo provided a downloadable character sheet for Pathfinder second edition? The link in the Downloads page provides the first edition character sheet.

That entire page is about first edition. I don't know if there's a second edition equivalent. Let me see...

There's the Character Sheet Pack but that's a purchase.

Ah, here you go!

Woohoo! Thank you very much. Looks like the black and white sheets are gonna do the trick just fine. I have not played PF2, yet. So these are great for a beginner. If we play more I might look into other character sheet options. For now, this is great.

Thanks again.

Are we on the cusp of a new CRB printing?

I have a first printing which I'm looking to upgrade to the newest for errata purposes and it's usually my luck when I make a purchase, the newer version comes out just around the corner. I'd like to avoid that outcome.

Also, in case we aren't near a new printing, what version are we on now and am I guaranteed to receive that version if I order a CRB presently?

We are on a second printing. If you order from the Paizo store that is what you will receive. We cannot say what you will receive if you purchase from another location. We do not announce the timing of new printings until they are in hand. Thank you.

Well, I got my nephews this, Gears and Guns, and Age of Ashes for Christmas and suddenly I'm now both the cool uncle and the favored uncle.

So, I'm pretty happy with Paizo right about now.

It might be interesting to gather statistics on how many Pathfinder 1st Edition, and 2nd Edition, and Starfinder players are on each of the major VTT platforms. Maybe Paizo or somebody else has already done that, I don't know.
