Gotta Kill 'Em All!

To celebrate the launch of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary 2, we've created a 22" x 34" poster featuring all of the monsters you'll find within the book. Folded copies of this poster were sent to game stores everywhere, but we've set aside some rolled copies for sale exclusively right here at paizo.com. Each poster will be shipped rolled in a tube.

Damaged new poster

I received the poster heavily damaged. It seems to have been forced into the poster tube and the ends were heavily wrinkled in the process.

Well it arrived

Dear Paizo,
Thank you for sending me a slightly damaged marketing poster. It was so jammed in the tube someone bent up one end trying to shove it inside. Also thank you for it being nearly impossible to remove without damaging it. I now have a rather wrinkled and slightly torn "new" poster. I was really hoping to give this to a friend but in it's present condition it looks like I've had it for a few years before I decided to gift it to him.

If you lick the poster, does each image taste like the monster in question?

I am assuming that this needs to ship seperatly, that it can not be added to a subscription shipment.

That said can this poster and the Launch poster be shipped together?

Well, technically you can add it to any other order... but it will always ship separately, in its own tube. If you order two tubed items, our *warehouse* may roll them together in a single tube, but our store isn't smart enough to know that's possible, so you wouldn't see any savings in postage.

The store *is* smart enough to know that if you order multiple copies of the *same* poster, they can ship together.

Only one way to find out. I'll let you do the honors.

For just $6.99 plus shipping, we can *mail* you a larger picture of it!

(Seriously, though, I'll see about getting something a bit bigger.)

Could that be manually fixed? I want to order both, but not willing to pay shipping twice if I can get them put together, which should be possible.

It's not currently something Customer Service can manually override without increasing the potential that something will go wrong in the warehouse, no. Gary will look into the possibility of educating the system about shipping our own posters together, though.

...and it turns out there's no easy fix here that wouldn't introduce problems elsewhere.

That is f!#$ing hilarious. Insane props, whoever came up with that one.

This is awesome! I hope my local store gets one of these :)

What a great, great idea for a poster. That Mona guy should get a bonus.

NIEC.

Though one has to wonder about the kind of PC that actually would take it upon himself to kill at least one of every creature on the poster.

Give me three d6 and a d20 and I'll show you.

For shame, lumping azatas and such with the damnable pugwumpis.

Kind of begs the question ... what about killing all the Bestiary I creatures?

Poster required.

Cheers,

PS: I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but when I ordered a copy of the "3.5 Thrives" launch poster, it arrived in a cardboard tube bent in the middle at right-angles. It was unsalvagable. Hopefully mine was an isolated case, perhaps increased by the extra distance it had to travel (Melbourne, Australia), but it would be good if a choice were available: a) rolled up in a tube; or b) folded flat that could be shipped combined with your AP subscription.

Liberty's Edge

My original PF poster had the same issue.

Took advantage of the Black Friday sale for 8 more and it was fine.

So who knows. FYI live in AK.

*sigh* I get paid next week, and I have the actual book on pre-order. So for me I might as well wait for the physical book to arrive. Which should be just in time for Yule if I'm looking at this right.

Liberty's Edge

I really like this.

Paizo---all I want for Christmas is a version I can fill with the Society Characters I kill off as a GM---BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Will there be one for Bestiary 1?
I like the idea and I have a second free wall. XD

boycotting it... .I don't care if it was a poster of marilyn monroe as she appeared back in playboy #1, I'd still boyoctt it.

No, but they do taste like snozberries.

That's a big fridge.

too bad about the combined shipping, that would have made my decision to order the launch poster more appealing.

Still a neat idea (complete monsters on a poster, not extra shipping, ha ha)

ICK! While it did indeed taste foul like monsters should, I am fairly certain it tasted nothing like the monsters. Unless they all taste exactly the same and happen to taste like a dirty hobby store.

Is there one for the first Bestiary as well?

Grand Lodge

Not like the one for Bestiary 2, no. There was a promotional poster put out for the First Bestiary but it was basically the cover art from it though. So no on the individual creatures like for Bestiary 2... which I would LOVE to see!

I think you may be thinking of the Core Rulebook Launch Poster....

It's unlikely that we'll go back and do a poster like this for the original Bestiary—sales of such a poster probably wouldn't be sufficient to justify a print run. The reason we can do this poster is because most of the copies we printed are being used as in-store marketing, and there's usually not much point in advertising a book that came out over a year ago—after all, a significant part of the audience already owns it! (Plus, in a way, the Bestiary 2 poster does *kind of* promote the original Bestiary...)

Snagged a copy of the poster from the FLGS this weekend. Very spiffy! I showed it to the group and they lol'd. :)

I see through your plan! Just like Jessica Chobot got a job with IGN by licking a PSP, you're trying to get a job at Paizo by licking monsters.

This is wonderful, hang it on a wall, throw a dart at it and that creature is making a appearence in the next game!

I would like the staff at Paizo to know I feel that this is a fantastic product. I probabaly speak for other Pathfinder gamers by stating I'd want the monter checklist for an original bestairy poster also before I made this purchase.

The only reason we can make this product work is that it serves a dual purpose as a retailer promotion and a paizo.com exclusive—sales of the poster alone don't justify the printing costs. Given that the first Bestiary is over a year old now, it doesn't make sense to run a retailer promotion for it at this point.... so, much as we'd all love to see a poster like this for the original Bestiary, it just isn't financially viable.

Awesome idea!

I'll be getting it, no doubt!

Very cool, you can blind-fold the party leader and have your players play 'pin the tail on the bestiary poster' to determine their next encounter.

I have an product idea!
Can Paizo make all monsters in 1X1 inch paper that people can print copy and print. That will be great.

You might get a lot more sales of the poster if it was Bestiary I. That has all the monsters everyone wants. I'd buy it for $15-$20! And I'm sure if you advertised the fact it exists you could get lots of sales!
