A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

The daughters of Absalom's mysterious Blakros family have long been among the most pursued maidens in the Inner Sea. Now the family's matriarch approaches the Pathfinder Society to help her break a centuries-old pact with the denizens of the Plane of Shadow to save her twin daughters from a life of servitude at the hands of the Onyx Alliance. Heading into the fan-favorite adventuring location of Blakros Museum, the PCs have only a short amount of time to break the Penumbral Accords and solidify the Pathfinder Society's ties to the powerful Blakroses.

Written by Owen K.C. Stephens

Enjoyable

4/5

Was my first Paizo module and first time playing in the society. I enjoyed our DM and the group we had. I was the lowest in the group but playing the rogue, it kept me nervous but engaged. Solid module content though I beleive it might have been very challenging except for the party had some well planned players.

The Grumble Accords

3/5

Just ran this during biweekly PFS play. Had a table of predominantly veteran players, and they utilized extremely crafty solutions to many of these encounters at tier 4-5. Time was a major issue, even with the 'help' my PCs were able to recruit through a dominated monster.
Some of the mechanics that nearly every foe possessed made play slow down and could be laborious (see time comment above.)
To me, this scenario could have utilized the haunt mechanics to be more effective in conveying the creepy and otherworldly mood, rather than just throwing another monster at the party. Some of the encounters felt very arbitrary and bolted on, and the climax was rather unsatisfying.
All in all, a fun scenario, but it had perhaps too much grind with very little glimpse into a larger story.
Not my favorite museum scenario, but still a good time.

seems like this is a sugar coated assassination mission

3/5

The house entered a binding agreement, on their own accord, and now, after they decided they no longer need the assistance of lawful dwelling shadow folk, they want to have the party kill the current contract holders.

The end fight is with a monk npc. A lawful, rule abiding individual that is only seeking what was already agreed upon to be his reward for his labors. which means hes justly acting under the boundaries set forth on a predicated consigned upon arrangement of both joining parties (the house and the shadow folk).

but now the house wants to be free of their oppressors.

so they hire a group of adventurers that are strictly a 'no evil' policy group to save them, kill the parties involved, burn the contract, and cover up and involvement they may have had with them

Something is missing...

2/5

I had some fun playing this scenario, but felt like I was missing about a third of it. Browsing through the PDF now I see why.

All this is...

1/5

This module is just fifteen pages of a map and some statblocks. Skip it.

Mark,

I am going to be running this at a Convention in January, and need to register it before Oct 29. Do you have a better description of this then the basic generic one you have?

Paizo Employee Franchise Manager

email me and I'll send you something, though I really don't like to announce plot summaries before a scenario is ready to go out the door, as I know they can change significantly during writing and development from the original outline.

Mark have anything on this yet? I have the convention Organizers bugging me for it.

I told him he has to be patient...

I have the turnover from Owen, and am working on developing it this week, but that's about it. Other than it being awesome, the only other detail I'll spill now is that it takes place in Blakros Museum. Sort of.

I've updated the product description (adding the synopsis) and corrected the title.

Wow - this is fantastic. I planned to do a Blakros museum trilogy at Conception in the UK. This will give me ample time to read and prepare.

A double dose of awesome - one scenario by Her Goddess Crystal, and another one by Owen K.F.C. Stephens ! Christmas in December, I say !

My first ever PFS scenario played, and it very much has me hooked, not just for society play, but also quick plug and play adventures for my homebrew games.

Owen wrote a beautiful, quick module that packs quite a bit of creepy in with the fun of the adventure.

You'll want to check (or ask again in the) Organized Play> GM Discussion thread. (a product thread is only for questions about the product itself, like when it's going to be released, how expensive it'll be, etc.)
