Al, you do not detect any evil from the man -- who's barely old enough for be called that, you can tell when Heinrich gets the door open.
He looks up as you enter the cell, his eyes hollow. He flinches back at first, but then blinks a few times, taking the sight of you in.
"Who are you?" he asks. "Are you with them?"
Going to assume you reassure them and ask the obvious follow-up question:
"I don't know! Some men -- I don't know who they were -- grabbed me, and they brought me here. And there were frog men, and other people, and the smell! Are you going to get me out of here? I just want to go home!"

Tristain stops bonking for a moment, his eyes scanning the man for clues about him. Dress fancy? Or farmer? Woodsman?
"I'm Tristain, I think. At least that's what I've been told. How come you're alive when the rest of this entire damn fort is dead and dying and more dead and just plain weird. Why are you alive? And where is that woman?" Tristain's questions spill out.

"Well, we haven't quite secure the structure as yet, but we could escort you to the gate if you wish. Still some frog-men about. Who are you? Where are you from?"

"I don't know. There were other people here, at first, but they were dragged off. I'm not sure what happened to them," he says. "What woman? There were just frog things! My name's Sholn. I'm from Thrushmoor. I was on my way to my boat, to go out on the water for the day, when whoever it was grabbed me!"

You escort the man to the front, and he takes off at a sprint for town. As you turn around to return to the dungeon, however, Kyffin's reflection suddenly lunges out of the standing mirror in the entranceway, slashing at the half-orc. His blade sinks into his chest, blood spraying over the wall. 23 hp
Before you can react, Mirror Kyffin slashes at Al, but his blade just misses, catching the edge of the old man's armor.

Kyffin, perhaps thrown off by the wound or his surprise, swings wildly at his doppelganger, as Al and Heinrich press the attack, hammering it with truncheon and cutting it with a short sword, only to see the wounds immediately start closing up it has fast healing, though not a lot.
Tristain blasts it, and then blasts the mirror, which is shattered a moment later by Tenebrynn.
Not Kyffin lets out a growl of frustration -- "You'll ruin everything!" -- and then concentrates for a second and suddenly there are four more Kyffins, until it's impossible to tell which is the real one, which is the fake, and which are simply illusions.

Actually last round I swing wildly at the mirror, but the end result is the same I suspect.
Kyffin rips the scarf from his head (move action?) yelling, ”Those damn imposters! I’m the real Kyffin!” He fervently improves his weapon with a quick casting of Divine Favor (+3 attacks/damage (luck))(swift).
Then he swings on his nemesis!

As Kyffin backs away to heal himself, Al and Tenebrynn can't land a blow on the creature, which seems to twist and turn, almost like refracted light. Heinrich has more luck, his truncheon crashing into it, along with Tristain's spell.
It steps forward, into the space Kyffin just vacated, and swings instead of Tristain and Heinrich as it looks toward the door behind the mental patient. The former manages to just duck out of the way, but the revived alchemist takes a small cut. 3 hp

The last missile blast seems to be too much for the creature, and it shatters into a number of shards of mirror-like substance.
In its remains, two brilliantly silver short swords glitter, along with a mirrored amulet.
The two short swords are both +1 (FWIW, they looked like Kyffin's blade as part of the illusion, because it was kind of a dead giveaway who was who if they still looked like what they were...)
It's an amulet of natural armor +1.

Tristain carefully moves up to the shards, stomping on any that seem to be bigger than a hand’s size. He’s not taking any chances with evil mirror beings, a look of fear on his face. When he calms down, he will inspect the loot.

Tristain stops bonking after things quiet down and others are healed. He’s recovering more quickly from each new assault on reality, but still can lose his grip on reality.
”So...we can assume that that guy is safe. We should finish exploring the downstairs?” Tristain will follow others back to the cells and that area.

Tenebrynn sighs in relief as the not-Kyffin collapses into shards. As the others ruminate on the state of the small fort, she shrugs. ”Maybe that thing came in with the skum? Maybe it’s what let them in? It sounded like it knew what was going on though.” She absently tests one of the claimed swords with a few swishes through the air before frowning in disappointment and letting it clatter back to the floor, ”Eh, too heavy.”
