Terrible miniature

2/5

Unlike others, my problem isn't with his sword. My problem is in his proportions, especially his left arm. His left forearm is less than half the length of his upper arm. It just looks ridiculous. It's like the sculptor didn't even pay attention. It looks more like his arm was broken at wrist so that his left hand could be bent into the position it is in. Just terrible. I don't know if this is a Reaper original or if this is one that came over from Crocodile Games, but it needs to be redone in any case.

If not for the arms I think it would be good and probably rate at least a 4.

Sword/Dagger

3/5

I will have to agree with everything that was noted previously. The mini looks great, however when I picked up the mini to prep for painting, and the sword/dagger just fell off into my hand. I was pretty disappointed. Rather than fight with having to re-attach it every time it gets moved on the table, I'm just going to eliminate the hilt and make it look like he's fighting with two empty hands.

Weak spot on weapon.....

3/5

As mentioned on the other reviews it is a great minature but at the hilt is very weak. Great miniature besides that.

I was going to sell this one and buy another because of that but thought I'd read the reviews and glad I did.

Guess it is a common problem so...bummer.

No Sword

2/5

So I was planning on taking off the sword, exalted monk in the new Kingmaker, but he didn't even come with one. Temple sword is silly and no where close to a monk weapon. I like Sajans backstory and his sword makes sense for him, but not an Iconic Monk. Ohh and he is 7 foot tall.

Great mini, lousy weapon

3/5

Overall I love the mini and it was like all of the other Reaper minis I've got from the PF line: Well-cast, highly detailed, and very cool. My only complaint is that the weapon is goofy looking (it's poorly proportioned and blocky) and the tang/handle of the sword is so thin that it's likely to break off if you look at it wrong. I ended up removing the sword and putting on a regular sword from my bits box (a WHFB plastic one fixed with a small pin).

Does anyone know if this is a one piece casting?

We won't know until we get our shipment from Reaper, but looking at the green in the picture, I would make a guess that it is going to be a one piecer. But no guarantees until we get our shipment in.

Liberty's Edge

Fairly flat profiles usually mean one piece, so I'd guess yes. Great action sculpt! Alternate weapon hands (monk weapons) would have been cool though.

Looking good. Looking might good.

Looks great!

green looks superb - best yet!

We've replaced the image of the green sculpt with an image of the unpainted metal.

What weapon is that he's using? I want to say its an elven curve blade but I'm not totally sure.

Same weapon he's always using, a Temple Sword. (Exotic one-handed weapon, Pathfinder CS, pg 210.) Basically, a longsword that's a Monk weapon, with a couple other side benefits.

Nice just what I need for my pathfinder character.

I disagree with dickgt's 2 star rating...

It doesn't say "Iconic human monk." It says "SAJAN, Iconic human monk." it's one of Pathfinder's iconics...Sajan without a temple sword wouldn't be Sajan.

Chwarae Teg

But I would rather he came with a sprue and two (or more) hand options as the sword is the least cool thing about him and it makes him less usable (because it is so distinctive) than any other of the iconics - I use my iconic minis for actual play as well as the pleasure of painting/displaying and I don't imagine getting as much play from Sajan as I'm getting from Seoni, Valeros or Kyra.

Scarab Sages

This is pretty damn close to my PFS Monk character. I do agree that the temple sword looks damn ridiculous. However, my solution is going to be replacing the temple sword attached to the mini and replacing it with something that fits my idea of what a temple sword looks like.

Reaper sells weapon spruce packs. Figure I'll just thumb through the available weapon spruces and go through my "bitz box" and see what looks right.
