The download would not unzip with common programs. The building selection is limited. The detailing is not the best. I downloaded much better buildings for free from Wizards of the Coast years ago.
I hope their other products are better, but I am not buying until I see some built.
Note from Paizo: The unzipping problem is not a WorldWorksGames or Paizo issue. The default Windows unzipper sometimes tries very hard to "protect" you from PDF files by not unzipping them (and not even telling you they exist). If you don't see any PDF files after unzipping, using a different unzipping utility will solve the problem.
Villageworks is one of the earlier products released by World Works under their fantasy label. It is an effective and immersive environment, though it lacks some of the refinements of their latter sets. Notably missing from the set are interiors for the buildings, limiting miniature interaction to the exteriors. Later sets show a greater degree of detail for their masterboard terrain. The buildings and props are nicely designed and detailed, and are very modular, allowing for lots of variation. The houses do tend to bend and warp, and require some extra reinforcement to increase their durability. This is very easily done.
If you are considering building a larger, more detailed village, consider downloading some of the kitbash files on the WorldWorksgames.com website. One file in particular allows builders to create interiors to their villageworks buildings. There are also detailed instructions in the Kitbash forum on creating interior sets using the villageworks models. The set lends itself very well to kitbashing.
I would recommend also downloading Dinas Ffordd, Interiorworks: Pubs and Inns, and Interiorworks: Castles and Keeps. The latter two are not compatible in the sense that you can just drop them into your Villageworks buildings, but they do make good seperate transitional sets should your players decide to enter a building during your game.

In terms of your quality concerns, I would only point out that this particular terrain set is over 6 years old and we've certainly come a long way since then. That said, the terrain still offers incredible content and value.
