A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

Volunteers are needed to escort the body of a deceased venture-captain across the parched Qadiran desert to Katheer. The Silken Caravan offers passage, hauling exotic treasures across the perilous sea of sands. You'll brave bandits, spies, and unwelcome mourners hell-bent on paying respects to your dead companion. Worse still, the caravan's mistress, a satin-swathed Qadiran princess, has designs of her own on you and your cargo.

Written by Greg A. Vaughan

This scenario is designed for play in Pathfinder Society Organized Play, but can easily be adapted for use with any world. This scenario is compliant with the Open Game License (OGL) and is suitable for use with the 3.5 edition of the world’s most popular fantasy roleplaying game.

Great scenario~ be wary of time.

5/5

I ran this this weekend I had a player request for it, he has ran out of scenarios to play at this tier.

So briefly I ran a table of 5 rogue, sorc, mage. Had 2 new pathfinders first time players cleric and fighter.

So I really enjoyed running this mod. I think the players really enjoyed the mod.

Looking back, I think the PA reward system in this mod was great.

Encounter wise I can't really see a large potential for TPK. It is not written paticularlly deadly. I think it is well balanced and the danger would lie in players hands.

Well worth a run, I did go a little past time but it was at a game store so I didn't have the constrictions of a con.

I did like the hard encounter and didn't find a problem with the game map at all. I think that was a very memorable encounter. The group I ran did fail some climbing checks and luckily tied off to each other.

One of the better mods I have ran in my opinion.

3/5

The writing is unclear at points, and the encounters are lethal for beginning characters, but the basic concept is very good and the plot works.

Take your time

4/5

I rather like this one; I have run it a couple of times now.

It's solid and allows for some roleplaying from the start. The adventure can be as slow or as quick as you like it depends on the group playing etc..

All classes have can participate (even druids)and it's satisfying to the end.

The spoilers touch on help for DM's running it

weather:
A sandstorm can delay a party or even drop them at just the right spot - getting lost doesn't equal getting off track (if you are watching the time). Always keep a clock behind the screen and control the guys/gals at the table.

ambush:
The Harpy attack allows the Andoran faction to save the slave boy if he is picked up and possibly purchase his freedom - or demand it as payment for their services. reward good roleplaying here

Like a caravan, this PFS trods onward...

2/5

I was skeptical after reading this adventure. From a DM's perspective, this one is quite boring.
There is a battle in a sandstorm without significant repercussions of the environment. Wasted chance. The encounters in the shrine seem to be tagged on.
But: My players liked it and the Andoran faction mission can open up some great roleplaying potential. Paradoxically, it is also the one with the smallest connection to the plot.
I don't know whether the author was going for it, but the scenario actually feels like escorting a caravan. Monotonous (for the DM, my players liked it) and boring.

Not great

3/5

There is some roleplaying potential here, but the encounter with the Harpy is unnecessary.

Grand Lodge

Hi
I played this in 2008 and promptly lost my character after GenCon. I played with mark l as the dm and just found the character but no chronicle sheets. Can someone tell me how to acquire a chronicle sheet from 8 years ago, or at least how much gold I would have earned at 1st level

Thanks
