Should I be taking any feats to buff my spell casting, or keep all of my feats buffing my melee in some way?

So, if I wanted to stay cleric, is there any tweaks I could do to this build to make it better at melee?

As a cleric, can I be a melee beast at high levels and still have time to cast spells?

I looked at the warpriest, but I was worried about losing out on 3 levels of spells.

I suppose, but looking at your build you are obviously not sitting around casting spells. As an evil cleric you aren't going to be spontaneously casting heals and clerics don't get any decent offensive spells until 7th level. You don't have combat casting but you will be in melee. This tells me most of the casting you're going to be doing will be regulated to out of combat activities.

do you just want the expanded spells for versatility or is there some specific spell you want to make sure you're not missing out on?

Mainly looking for the versatility of the spells at later levels. But I'll have a look at the higher level spells and see if they're something im even wanting.

As far as being melee goes, do the feats I have selected look go?

Have not seen the Battle Shaman. I'll have to check it out.

I'm looking for some advice and critiques on a build im working on for my upcoming campaign. This will be my first time playing Pathfinder, however, I played a bit of 3.5 years ago.

I'm trying to build a melee first evil cleric. Originally it was going to be a necromancer cleric, but because we got more than expected people to join our campaign, there will be too many other players for me to bog the game down more with extra turns for all my minions. Because of this, I decided to go a more melee cleric that can do alot of damage in a single hit ( the only other "tank" in the group is a cavalier) and roleplay the necromancer part by taking the leadership feat, create undead, and use the feat to control them for roleplay/world building/storyline purposes.

The main question I have is what feats and domain/domains should I take? Here is what I was planing on taking, but Im not sure if its a good build or not.

Was also thinking about not doing crusader for the extra domain and take ferocity to go along with rage. However, im not sure if destructive smite, furious strike, and channel smite will all stack together for one attack.

The Campaign starts off at level 5.

Race: Human (Taking the extra +2 to stats rather than the extra feat)

Class: Cleric - Crusader

Diety: Homebrew (Can use any domains I want, as long as it fits into a backstory.)

Domain: Rage

Favorite Weapon: Halberd

Starting stats: (30 point buy)
Str - 17+2= 19 (Human)
Dex - 12
con - 14
Int - 10
Wis - 14+2= 16 (human)
Cha - 14

Feats
Lvl 1. Channel Smite, Heavy Armor(crusader)
Lvl 3. Power Attack
Lvl 5. Toughness, weapon focus(crusader)
Lvl 7. Leadership
Lvl 9. Vital Strike or Furious Focus
Lvl 10. Greater Weapon Focus(crusader)
