The party IMC captured Tsuto, and he's presently sitting in jail. They've already interrogated him, and came up empty, as Tsuto was unwilling to share anything. However, they just leveled-up to 3rd level, so the cleric now has access to zone of truth. Now, I realize the spell has some significant limitations, but I want to reward the players for a) capturing Tsuto alive, and b) diligently pursuing the interrogation angle.

First of all, how much beans should I spill?

Secondly, I'm still a little unclear about how Tsuto and Nualia got together in Magnimar. What sparked the relationship? I'm sure it's in Burnt Offerings somewhere, but I'm just not finding it... I'd like to have their story 100% dialed in prior to the interrogation.

Thanks!

Has anyone created a Golarion chapter for the Everchanging Book of Names? I think this is one of the coolest tools out there, and a chapter dedicated to the various regions of Golarion would be awesome.

Has this been done? And if not.... any takers? ;-)

Because of the bad-ass looking shield in the illustration of Orik Vancaskerkin, I decided to make the shield +1 and the banded mail masterwork (instead of the other way around as originally written).

I'm just wondering if there's another picture of the shield, or if anyone has drawn the shield from the front, since we're only given a profile view in the module.

I would totally draw it myself, but I'm no artist. Anyone up for the challenge?? That'd be SWEET. ;-)

This is a HUGE moment for me: I will be GMing my 8-year-old son in his first ever role-playing adventure! He has already rolled up his character, a halfling rogue named Zartod. :-)

Now it's just a matter of what adventure to run. I'm thinking an adventure path might be a bit much, so I'm looking for a module or perhaps one of the Pathfinder Society Scenarios. It'll be a standard party of four in all likelihood. Any advice would be great! Fast-paced action is a must (think 8-year-old attention span), and anything with slapstick humor would be a bonus. ;-)

Thanks much!

With so many great NPCs in the RotRL adventure path, I'm curious as to which ones are favorites in your campaign. Whether they're stars because the PCs like them or you like playing them as the GM, I'd like to know who and how it came to be that way.

I never anticipated Daviren Hosk as being a fav, for example, but the PCs just thought he was the coolest, and he's been a regular ever since!

So, which NPCs are faves in your campaign -- and why? :-)

By the way, the PCs won't be opening the door any time soon. They don't even have the knock spell yet, let alone the skill to pick the lock (oh by the way, in my campaign knock can bypass arcane lock and simple locks, but nothing more complex).

Making them wait for it will make it all the more exciting when they finally break through. Plus, the baddies inside are too nasty for 2nd level characters to handle! :-)

I'm curious how other GMs handled the town's reaction to certain events as they occur in the AP. The AP has done a great job making Sandpoint feel like a living, breathing town, but that means that the town must react to what is taking place.

My first question is: How does Sandpoint react to Lonjiku's death?

I'm looking forward to hearing how others handled this and other events. Thanks!

I just got the deck of cards for Rise of the Runelords, and it's totally sweet (naturally).

BUT, some of the cards are ambiguous as to which items they actually refer to in the adventure path. Does anyone have a list put together as to which cards go with which items? That would be awesome. Thanks!

I'm just learning how to use MapTool, and I know many of you out there have been using it for your Rise of the Runelords campaign. I'm wondering if anyone has posted their campaign anywhere for others to use. I'd LOVE to not have to do it all from scratch! :-)

I put a ton of the NPC pics on photobucket so that I could post them on my campaign's message board when appropriate. I'm not sure how photobucket works, but I'm pretty sure anyone can go check it out.

You'll notice that there are some "extra" pics in there. For some NPCs that weren't pictured, I stole pics from other places to use in my campaign. There might also be a handful of names you don't recognize, which would be NPCs I made up for whatever reason.

Anyway, I believe it contains all of the NPCs throughout the Rise of the Runelords adventure path, plus some more. Here's the link to all the pics:

Hope you find it useful!

I'm wondering if anyone's put together a list of Chopper's victims. If so....... share?

I just started the RotRL Adventure Path (yay!), and one of the hooks to get my PCs to Sandpoint was that Volioker's nephew (a dwarf PC from Magnimar) heard about the Sczarni bullying his locksmith uncle, and traveled to Sandpoint to lend his help/earth breaker in the matter.

Now I'm in need of a good little side trek adventure involving the Sczarni, and I'm not sure where to turn! I'm fully prepared to make changes to an adventure to get it to fit; I just don't want to start from scratch.

So, any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm trying to put together as many portraits of NPCs as possible, and while the books provide a lot of great art, I want more!

Can anyone please point me in the direction of some websites with good portraits for NPCs? Most art that I find online are pics of archmages or uber-powerful warriors. I'm looking for commoners with character.

And if you've already found the "perfect match" for any NPCs from the RotR Adventure Path (or anyone from the world of Golarion), please share!!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm about to embark on "Burnt Offerings," and I'm disappointed to see that there isn't a battle-size map of Sandpoint for the very first encounter. Has anyone made a map for this? Thanks!

I'm wondering if anyone here has tried using a SmartBoard for gaming purposes. I'm a high school math teacher, and I have a SmartBoard in my classroom. I was just thinking, "Wow, this would be SWEET for playing D&D!"

Has anyone tried it? Know of any online resources for doing such a thing?

I know that Paizo did this with the Dungeon magazine -- they made the artwork available online, which was fantastic because I could easily print things off for the PCs, or even just show them pictures from my laptop.

I am about to embark on the Rise of the Runelords adventure path, and I was hoping to find the artwork from the books online somewhere. Does it exist? If so, can someone help me find it? Thanks!
