Me again... I hope all'y'all got your top picks today @ the bums' rush for Gen Con event reg...
Staying with my multi-year tradition, I'd like to run Risen from the Sands in an early afternoon-ish slot...
I see from the thread over here that Mark is leading the charge this year. (you've got mail) I'm looking forward to another great year in Indy and kicking it off at the Brewhouse...
See you there!
Here we are again. The mad rush for Gen Con event reg is over, and I start thinking about Wednesday...
I'd like to run We Be Goblins Too! (See here) in an early afternoon-ish slot. I've got myself and 3 players. (will we have 6 goblins?) I don't see any official events (yet?) for Wednesday in the reg system. There's typically a VO/GM function in the evening IIRC. I'd plan to finish before then.
I've got an email in to the Indy team. This gun ain't gonna jump itself... :D
See you there!
Now that the bum's rush is over for 2012 events, what's the word for Wednesday? I understand there's a PFS meeting in the works for the afternoon. Is there a time set (even tentative) for that?
I'd like to run Dawn of the Scarlet Sun. I've got myself and 3 players leaving 3 seats. I'm hoping to start early enough to end in time for the player meeting if that's happening.
I've got an email in to the Indy VO team. Mark had coordinated the action at Scotty's the last couple years. I'm hoping to help that tradition live on...
See you there!
My level 1 summoner-synthesist: General Zhao (picture)
He's a Wargames Factory Ancient German (plastic mini) encased in a mixture of transparent and translucent green sculpey. (Very light on the green 10:1 or maybe less)
This is the first time I've ever tried this. He looks a little rough but the concept of "fantastical magical being wrapped around the summoner" is clear, or at least partially translucent :) I'm hoping to get more iterations on this as he evolves...
Any tips on mini sculpting for a n00b ?
So in less than 2 months we're headed out for GenCon. I'm looking forward to We Be Goblins! at Scotty's on Wednesday. This settles the first question.
Now the second. On the drive there, we have 4 players in the car with time (~12h) to kill. We're thinking to try a scenario-in-flight.
I'm thinking it would run a bit longer than usual, with one player somewhat distracted by the (long-boring-straight-highway) driving and the GM having to track all position, movement, AoO, etc. Without the common-grid reference on a central table, this would, by necessity, be a more cinematic game. But...
Would it be broken?
Would it be legal? (PFS & State Trooper - wise)
Any recommendations for a (+)cinematic / (-)grid-tactical scenario?
and no, the GM won't be driving.. (not while GMing in any event...)
If this does work out, next step would be RV-Con... :-D
I got two shipping notices today for the order submitted Saturday.
- 11:35 PST - Flip Mat
(Looks like the Flip mat ships separately...)
and two hits on the CC:
Can you have a look and unwind the 2nd CC hit?
I had recently resubscribed to the Campaign Setting subscription and had my subscription set to start at Serpent's Skull Map Folio.
I see in the subscription details that Lost Cities will "will ship with earliest possible monthly shipment" but it does not appear in any of the pending orders...
Can it be added to pending order 1594698 ?
"Benefit: You gain a +1 trait bonus on attack of opportunity attack rolls made with daggers, swords, and similar bladed weapons."
Seems like rapier would fit, but does "similar bladed weapon" reference the slashing-type? Then again dagger is P/S...
I'd OK this in my game, but is it legal for society play?
I received the shipment a couple days ago. It seems that you have sent me the Pathfinder GM Screen rather than the Paranoia GM Screen. It's a great screen but I've already got one... I sent an email on this that apparently got lost in the ether. Let me know how we can proceed to fix this mixup.
