I had a pretty fun concept for this kind of character.

You start with a level of Inspired Blade Swashbuckler. This gives you DEX to damage at first level, which will carry you for the first couple of levels. This also lets grit/panache be intelligence based which is nice for the skills.

After first level, you go into Musket Master Gunslinger. You have dex to damage as a strong melee opportunity, so don't worry too much about the gun being suboptimal. Then when the guns gets good, you are an epic switch hitter. You can vital strike (with a high damage die), and with the use of weapon cords instantly switch to melee without point blank master or anything like that.

After your standard five levels of Gunslinger (DEX to damage), I would recommend the Alkenstar Shield Marshal Prestige Class. It is really right up the alley for flavor, and certainly strong. Firstly, this really boosts your Perception and Sense Motive (Crucial for a lawbringer, maybe even grab Bruising Intellect too). Plus, you get neat initiative boosts, judgments, and even some more gunslinger deeds.

That sounds like a great plan. Only problem is I need to get the book that has the prestige class. What books would I need to build this or something similar?

Alright, so I've been playing in a home pathfinder group for about a year now, we've done a couple pfs one shots, we b4 goblins as the inimitable Poog, and the cost of enlightenment as Lirianne.

I was wanting to make a hard-bitten law-bringer type character for pfs, but reading through what everyone says about Gunslinger has kinda put me off it, though Bolt Ace still looks neat.

Personality wise I was thinking something lawful neutral Roughs/Frontier style justice kinda guy. Harsh but fair.

So yeah, any aid would be great. Character builds, class suggestions, deity recommendations. Pitch them here and hopefully I'll be able to make something I would enjoy.
