I didn't have the original deck so I can't compare it to that but I have had other Tarot cards and I was a bit disappointed with the thickness, or general lack thereof. They felt like standard playing cards so I feel the need to get card protectors and a box before I make use of them.
I like the art on the cards and I look forward to playing with them.
