My greatest condolences. As one of the FAWTLies, we pushed the boundaries (and his buttons) with the Pathfinder forums, but he was always kind and generous in his interactions.

The only reason I see Mercer & Co moving away from D&D is that their published material uses the OGL 1.0a. And they make a lot of money, so they're most like one of the companies that would have to pay royalties on their products.

Now, the fun part is what part of Critical Role falls under Fan Content and what's going to be considered OGL? If Hasbro is stupid (which they are), will they try and go after getting royalties from "Legend of Vox Machina" on Amazon?

I would allow talisman formulas to be converted into tattoo formulas. The tattooes will disappear after use the same way spell tattoes and talismans are destroyed after use.

Also, the tattoos they have published aren't consumable. Considering the rules talk about investing and healing, I'd rather not spend a month of downtime to get a +X bonus to a single die roll and then it fades.

Dumb as it was (even at the time), irritatingly preachy and unconvincing as it was (even at that age), and over-the-top corny as it was (even at that era), I watched Captain Planet way back when. Not religiously, but enough.

And as exceptionally stupid as it is, possibly for nostalgia only, and possibly just because there's a draft right where I'm sitting, I got chills of "coooooo~!" watching this, despite (or maybe "because of"?) it having every one of the aforementioned traits.

I think I am getting a little Avengers crazy.

I did the Marvel Movie Marathon yesterday at the theater. $35 and I saw Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor 3D, Captain America 3D and The Avengers 3D (midnight showing). 15 hours in a theater sustaining myself on popcorn, water and over-priced candy.

But it was worth EVERY F##$ING MINUTE.
