I had been enjoying the build-up of the whiole Lissala series of adventures in Season 4, and I made sure to play the same character for as many of them as I could, expecting a climactic story experience. Unfortunately, the last scenario in the series has no roleplaying, no story, and very little chance of succeeding. The fights are flat out designed to kill. I felt a little like I was ramming my head into a wall for 5 hours, hoping I'd eventually break through.
It didn't help that our GM was half an hour late, and when we ran out of time 2 rounds into the end fight, told us we'd failed because Krune wasn't dead yet and he just teleports away with all our gold, treasure and prestige in his fannypack. It made me feel like I'd wasted my time this whole season.
I know people want challenges for their high level adventures, but it takes no imagination to put together a scenario the way this one was put together, just mean-spiritedness. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come, or I might be giving up on Pathfinder.
