The kingdom that once surrounded the port of Soligovich fended off the demonic invasion through the use of powerful planar magics to summon assistance from various inner and outer planes. The aftermath of this can be seen across the forests and mountains in pockets of land displaying the planar traits of different realms. The area has had many small portals to other planes open over the years; disgorging any number of hazards or nuisances. Some of these portals have become permanent, with trade being established across them.

The biggest planar pocket is a mile-wide blue hole that consumed the coastal edges of the Soligovich. The city rebuilt the dock area to take advantage of the deep water port it now had. Pontoon docks float far into the lagoon; the depths of which connect to the Elemental Plane of Water.

With the collapse of the surrounding kingdom, Soligovich now makes its money as a trading port of exotic terrestrial and extra planar wares. Farming around the city walls supplement food imports and harvesting of the local forests provides building materials for ships and city.

The most important decree of the current Prince was the creation of the Inquisitors. Tasked and trained to handle unwanted planar creatures that make their way into the city or surrounding areas. The Inquisitors have teams trained to track down and deal with mischievous fey, insidious aberrations, diabolic influence, and many others. Those that wish to harm the city are dealt with harshly, and those that can be bargained with are handled fairly. Most of the time.
City-state of Soligovich

We played a 7-11 scenario and somehow got a player on his second session of playing anything Pathfinder-related. Don't know how he didn't get shepherded to a low level table. Picked the gunslinger pregen and we played.

Near the end of the scenario we have infiltrated a group, are completely surrounded by said group, in the middle of their territory, and are being asked to swear allegiance and do something that looks potentially lethal. We know there is a trick to the lethal part and we are experienced adventurers and spellcasters.

The gunslinger's response to the declaration of allegiance? Shoot the cultist in the face and run out the door. We argued with the player for a few minutes about how he was being an idiot and potentially getting a group of 7-11's killed on his second game. Still shot the cultist and ran out.

Fortunately, the cultists weren't in their right mind and the GM just had another cultist step in and continue the ceremony.

We played a 7-11 scenario and somehow got a player on his second session of playing anything Pathfinder-related. Don't know how he didn't get shepherded to a low level table. Picked the gunslinger pregen and we played.
Near the end of the scenario we have infiltrated a group, are completely surrounded by said group, in the middle of their territory, and...Brian the Blessed of Gozreh (alias of blood_kite)2014-07-16T13:36:36ZRe: Forums: Reign of Winter: Rasputin Must Die!
We ran into an odd occurance with the mines. 3 creatures set them off and then the mortars came down, which hurt a lot. Then we noticed that all 3 mines had been tripped by flying creatures and dropped the damage. After the first mortars we dropped sleet storms on the troops and flew everyone to the woods. The fog effect that the heavy snow provided kept us from random encounters outside the buildings. Mass flying and dimension door got us into the camp, and half the party could see clearly through the snow. We missed the effects the wind should have been having on us, but I think freedom of movement would be able to handle that.

It might have been because we are in a real world time crunch to finish the series, but only the cossaks with their lifesense could see us outside.
