Zak doesn't like having devils on all sides, but at least their hovering prevents them from surrounding him as well as it prevents the Pathfinders from surrounding them.

The quickest way to become less surrounded is for there to be fewer of them. "Cut 'em up," he growls.

"Aw, it's nuthin'," says Zak, stretching his arms and wings, "We're the ones who brought it to you. Besides, we're on a Pathfinder Society mission; something was going to attack us, and those guys weren't scary at all!"

The little sprite accompanying him... really isn't so "little" by sprite standards, standing at about the same height as Kaz himself. He rolls his eyes at the dubious introduction but doesn't say anything about it.

He's doing his best to look bored and disinterested, but is clearly curious about Bicklock and Mr. Glovely.

"We're magically linked," he puts in, "since he saved my life once. Usually he's the one who brings that up."

Zak glides around, seeking both a better defensive and offensive position. His feet solidly on the ground again, he slices at the plant creature with his wings.

Zak steps to the side, where he's at least not completely surrounded.

As he does so he slices at the one pinned between him and Cal, the one the others have already hindered. Hopefully he can take it out and then he won't be surrounded at all.

While he does that, Kaz heals himself. Sharing each others' pain can be, well, a pain. But it does have its perks.

** Act Together. Kaz casts level two heal on himself while Zak steps. Healing: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (4, 3) + 16 = 23

Kaz Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Kaz slips through the vines. "Haha!" He still has to struggle his way through the clinging plants.

Meanwhile Zak continues his series of twirling attacks, striking with his wings and following up by spinning into a punch.

But suddenly he seems less formidable as Kaz's boosting magic finally fades.

◆ Act Together: Zak Strikes (nonlethally): 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 11 - 2 = 16 the flanked opponent for slashing damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13 while Kaz moves towards the edge of the entanglement as best he can.
◆ Tandem Movement. Zak moves if his current target is down. Kaz moves out of the area.
◆ Zak Strikes (nonlethally): 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 - 2 = 25 for bludgeoning damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12
The extended boost eidolon spell ends.

Avoiding the roiling water, Zak data after the retreating rookie. "Stay close!" he says making a haphazard grab, "It's dangerous, kid."
He follows up with a punch.

Meanwhile, Kaz realizes that the spell that animated the bones is still active, and walking into then was a little foolish. "Leggo!" he says as he ties to slip free, then "It is a lot of water! Did you see where it came from?"

Kaz fails against the entangle, but Zak succeeds against the orb.

↺ Life Block. The damage to Zak is reduced by 10, but Kaz loses another 5 HP. (So basically it's reduced by 5, since they share HP.)

Hero Point Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Kaz's spell protects Zak a little.

He struggles against the vines. "If we push one in, maybe they'll figure it out!" he says irritably, "We can probably get them out again anyway."

Still, he continues with the current dubious "plan" for the moment as Kaz supports him magically. Restrained as he is, he can most easily approach Jonas--so he does.

"You complete buffoon!" Kaz snaps, his glare also fixed on Jonas as he finishes his spell, "You have the situational awareness of a week-old banana!"

Zak raises his hand after the speech. "I'm not working for Qakle."

Zak shrugs. "Can't say. I don't remember seeing her."

He's accompanied by a grumpy-looking pixie perhaps half an inch taller than he is.

The sprite rolls his eyes and scowls, but doesn't seem to have anything to add.

"Ugh, get it off!" snarls Zak.
Kaz keeps his feet, and focuses on empowering Zak as he lashes out at the little creature. "Hit it, now!"

He then turns his attention to more offensive magic, unleashing a burst of electricity at the two gremlins physically assailing his allies.

Action 2/3: Act Together.
Zak Strikes with his wings: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 for slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 damage, while Kaz casts electric arc at blue and green--That's a DC 18 basic Reflex save against electricity: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 damage

Kaz did not know what the square-cube law was, but some of the Pathfinder scholars he'd spoken to about Zak had mentioned it. "But he's so much stronger now! When I first met him, he was trapped in a cage and couldn't break out. The lock was very small, and I broke it open easily to free him. Now he's so much stronger than I am!"

"I am strong now," admitted Zak with a smirk. "But I don't style my hair. I'm made of magic; that's just what it looks like. I think."
