Fighter classes, except the cavalier and paladin, have no way to make sure monsters/npcs attack them. a fighter taunt mechanic needs to be created to make sure fighters can do their job. it could be something as simple as intimidate vs will save to make them have to target the fighter instead of the squishier targets. any thoughts?
You have to remember something, this is not WoW or any other video game being arbitrated by artificial intelligence. Table top games, should not now, or ever, have a definitive taunt mechanic. If you want the attention of the big bad guy, roleplay it!
One other thing to remember is that whatever taunt mechanic you can use on the NPC's, in table top they can use it on you too.
