Truthfully, I've found categorizing him to be difficult at times. Sorcery is a big cover-all of things. In the terms of D&D, I feel him being more of a sorcerer than a wizard. What Eldritch does is driven by instincts and willpower, not by taught lore or practiced ability. I've tried to have the drawing of sigils and glyphs as a focus of his uncontrollable power; he has the power of an alien, Elder God channeling through him. It needs to be focused for him to be able to direct it without harming others or doing something worse. Even then, the potential for danger is there.

I didn't want the glyphs to be too limiting because he is the Nova, he is an explosion of power and is meant to slam into things. He isn't the best fighter in the group but who needs to be when your power actually can change reality, when you can tear apart what is and isn't. Usually, Kenneth uses it like a sledgehammer and bashes his way through things brutally. I see him almost like Mugen from Samurai Champloo in that way; he prefers direct and simple rather than complicated. Should he really take the time to practice and channel his mind, he could accomplish feats that no one can imagine. Death, time, distance, all things that we consider absolutes are no longer such when such power is there. Yet he has seen what that power can do, how much harm even a -taste- of it can do to others.

I have the burning, the emblems appearing upon him, cracking his skin with blue flames and other stuff because I wanted him to have something in common with both the Transformed and the Doomed. In another word and another game, he could've been either one of them and he knows it.

I'm hoping to have a better concept of who Kenneth is the more we play. I had planned on him being far moodier but I'm sure he'll have his moment :P
Well, since we're going to be doing a descriptor of what it is that our characters do, I feel that I'll give describing Eldritch a bit and see what flows...

Glad to be playing with you folks!

I am a student going for pharmacy technician. I also live in Arizona and am friends with Dagmar's player. I've been gaming for about nine years now, started with friends back and high school and been in the hobby since. I've been running games for about five years now, haven't tried running anything PbP since I've still got the new car smell in regards to it.

I've never really played dwarves at all and I honestly think that this may be my very first one as well as my very first monk! You have no idea how excited I am to knee strike someone in the face as a tiny guy. Side note, I am easily amused. :P

Since I like the masochistic idea there, Ukrim is a former retainer to the Tharnhammer family. A noble in his own right but a very young child, he basically has nothing to claim as his own with his family. I am certain he will not be in line for the throne basically ever, unless awful things happen. As a regent, however, he could be temporarily.

For my own patron keys, I've selected

Secrets Under The Mountain
The Rightful High King
Liberating The Enslaved

I like Secrets Under The Mountain because there is the whole fate of Dallhammer! While we'll be creating a new legend and a new kingdom, I think it'd be fun and important to learn what happened to the old.

The Rightful High King I feel is another good one since that is the idea we rallied behind. Most of us are from the royal family after all. It helps unite our roleplay more as a group dedicated to building a new empire.

Liberating the Enslaved is probably my favorite, because it means we'll interact with some of the stranger races within the Underdark. Alliances and politics will be needed and it cements us as a force of good in such a hostile land.

I'm super excited to play with you guys, been looking forward to this idea. Also, this song got shared on my facebook and my inner nerd was stupidly excited. :D
Hey there everyone!
His stature is strong and large, not nearly as impressive as Goruck's but enough to show that what he was nonetheless. None of commoners seem to pay the large cougar in their midst any mind, the flirtatious waitress even passing by and scratching it behind the ears which elicits a low, rumbling purr.

The newcomer's clothing is worn but maintained, obviously taken care of and mended wherever possible. He approached the man known as Jak, pulling out a small bag and leaving it upon the bar's top.

"That is all that Laurel had to spare. She will make up your owed coin as soon as she can." The cougar moved to lay down by the half-orc's feet, sniffing the air with an almost pleased look upon his face.

They were simple cots but compared to home, they were some of the most comfortable things he had slept on.

When morning comes and the speakers roar to life, the Faunus leaps out of bed and lands with an almost cautious, scared look for a moment. He relaxes a moment later, standing up and moving towards the bathroom. It the first time anyone has seen the small Faunus slightly nude and while his body is not rippled with muscles like his purple-eyed friend, it is a tone and lithe form of an dexterous man. He washes up and gets dressed, a simple vest and carge pants with the armored padding he had arrived with the day before.

Breakfast is a smorgasborg, Sorzar eating as much as he could with a content sigh as he followed the seemingly nervous Professor Port. He followed the man towards where Professor Glynda and Headmaster Ozpin waited with grim faces. His hand grips along Shimmer Mirage for a moment before he gave a little nod, understanding the terms. Unless you were guaranteed to die, they weren't coming in to save you, no matter what. Following Glynda's instructions, he moved to the grey squares upon the ground and looked out across the forest.

The first thing he did was remember which way the sun was rising, to make sure he had a direction orientation of the most basic measures. Second thing he would do would be look out into the forest and see if he could catch sight of this stone altar.

Notice: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Not catching sight of it, he planned to at least keep moving away from the Academy when he finally landed. Whether he was expecting such a bolting launch, no one would ever know as Sorzar flailed through the air.

The wind rustled through his shaggy, orange hair and a grin spread across his face. It felt almost natural to be catapulted through the air like this, nice even.

"Alright. Time to not die." Sorzar focused for a moment, drawing upon his semblance.

Spirit: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Sorzar spins like a top, the world a blur around him but his hands move with experienced ease. There is the sudden sound, like a chainsaw going off, and those would could see him would see the chakram extend on a chain. The sharp, serrated edges would spin like a chainsaw's blades, unbelievably sharp and terrible. The loud-mouthed Faunus was spin with the blade out, cutting through debris and using his strike to slow himself down.

"Heh...heheh...that was dumb... Sorzar murmured to himself, waiting for his vision to clear. His instincts took over though, as he began to move quietly, bouncing with incredible force through the forest while keeping an ear out for any approaching Grimm or his fellow recruits in need.
