Huffing dismissively, Ness mutters So do you quietly under her breath. Her mother’s keen ear pick up the jibe an Ness catches Lanzelett's faint smirk of amusement.

Ness rolls her eyes and examines the shield.

Quickly reloading, Ness let’s a bolt fly at the same target.

Gritting her teeth, Ness shoots magic missile through the door at the creature outside.

Magic missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3


Ness fires her light crossbow at the creature in the doorway and uses her move action to reload.

Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 111d6 ⇒ 6


Rolling her eyes, Ness looks in the bag, reflecting on all she knows about the arcane.

Knowledge: Arcane: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19


The girl nods reluctantly, knowing better than to argue with him when Thackett was in such a foul mood. Despite the attack, or maybe because of it, she is in a wonderful eager mood.


Ness hurries to search the buildings with Thackett and her Otter, Should, in tow.


Equally fascinated by the creatures as she is frightened, Ness uses a move action to make a perception check trying to learn about the creature. Then, suddenly remembering herself, she fires a jolt spell at the remaining enemy.

I couldn't find rules on examining creatures.

Already bored with the discussion, young Ulionestra or Ness to her family - unless she's in trouble, that is - wanders towards the sailors trying to eavesdrop.

Noob question: does she make a check of some kind to eavesdrop? How do I ask to do that? Also, I'd like her to use ghost sound to make a loud distracting seagull noise as she sidles up
