Uliah's Deck Handler

I still vote for Season of the Runelords.

Agree on waiting until after Gameday!

I also prefer having 4 players, but I think having 5 could be a good idea in case of player attrition, as you mentioned. That said, even 3 would be fun for me.

This would have been my full AP in PbP, but my other table beat us by like less than an hour, lol!

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under the Blessing of Xoveron.

The anticipation was mounting up at the top of Eagle Rock. Uliah knew what the plan was and that he had to wait for the perfect moment, but it was hard staying still while facing a demon lord.

"Druid! It's time. Help Lady Nyctessa. Go! Now!"

During his give a card step, Uliah is going to give Nyctessa his Druid of the Flame

Before resetting his hand, Uliah will discard his Belt of Physical Might and Orcish Earthbreaker +2.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Xoveron.

It seems we are heading towards the final battle, so Uliah will head towards Eagle rock.

Once there, Uliah will cast Consecration to bury 3 blessings from his discard pile, returning 3 cards to the Blessings deck.

Uliah will also try to acquire the Druid of the Green Flame.

CtA Diplomacy 9: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

Acquired! Uliah will then sit tight. He will, however, recharge his Fortified Breastplate before resetting his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Ramexes' turn, Uliah will encounter Pazusu's Host. He is going to choose the Ranged check and fail it on purpose, triggering the Combat 50 check.

For his check to defeat, Uliah will reveal and discard his Orcish Earthbreaker+2 to use his Melee+2d6+2, and +4 from his Weapon. He will also reveal Belt of Physical Might for +2 and Autumn Witch for 1d4+2. Uliah will also display Righteousness to add another 1d6 to his check. Arcane Cannonade is still displayed and is adding 1d6. Finally, Uliah will spend 3 Mythic Charges, replacing 3 of his D6's with D20's.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension (Blessing 2)

Uliah is going to move to Eagle Rock and explore. He encounters Eagle Rock Card 1: Warmonger Wasp. Before I act, it deals some electricity damage.

Electricity Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Uliah will discard Blessing of the Everlight and Blessing of the Oathkeeper as damage. Then, for his check to defeat, he will reveal his Orcish Earthbreaker +2 to use his Melee + 2d6+2, and +4 from his power. He will also reveal his Belt of Physical Might to add 2, and Autumn Witch to add 1d4+2

CtD Combat, Melee 19: 1d6 + 12 + 2d6 + 2 + 4 + 2 + 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 12 + (4, 4) + 2 + 4 + 2 + (1) + 2 = 34

Defeated! However, Uliah will play it safe and not explore more this turn. We aren't quite ready to face the villain yet.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

Uliah will move to the Celestial Beacon. At the end of his move step, Uliah is going to recharge Dawnflower's Kiss to recharge a random card from his discard pile: Demon Armor.

Uliah explores to encounter Celestial Beacon Card 1: Corrupted Soldier. Uliah will try to defeat it, but first the CtD increases by...

Difficulty increase: 1d20 ⇒ 9

For his check to defeat, Uliah will reveal his Orcish Warbreaker to add 2d6+2 to his check, and another +4 from his power after revealing a weapon. He will also reveal Autumn witch to add 1d4+2 and Belt of Physical Might to add +2. Then, he will also display Chalice of Ozem to add 1d6 to all his checks this turn. Finally, Uliah will spend 1 Mythic Charge to replace one of his d6 with a d20.

CtD Combat, Melee 9+20+9 (38): 1d20 + 12 + 2d6 + 2 + 4 + 2 + 1d4 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 12 + (4, 3) + 2 + 4 + 2 + (1) + 2 + (5) = 39

Saddened by having to do it, but seeing no other way, Uliah strikes down one of his own men to prevent him from attacking Amaryllis and Nyctessa in his madness.

Amaryllis gains one Mythic Charge and Uliah gets another one after defeating a Bane with the Veteran trait. Uliah will now attempt to close Celestial Beacon by summoning a Blessing to acquire: Blessing of Torag. Uliah more than handily makes the Divine 5 check to acquire, so Blessing of Torag is added to the bottom of the Blessing's deck.

What remains of the host of champions of Queen Galfrey move one step closer to cornering Pazuzu.

Uliah ends his turn. At the end of his turn, Chalice of Ozem is recharged. Before resetting his hand, Uliah will recharge the Commander's Fieldplate. Then he resets his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

With Amaryllis having opened the path forward for the group to fight Pazuzu, Uliah worked with Nyctessa to secure potential escape routes for the demon lord. However this goes, only one side would walk out of this battlefield.

Uliah will explore Watchtower to encounter Card 1: Commander's Field Plate. Uliah will try to acquire it.

CtA Charisma 8: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Acquired! Next, Uliah will bury Bound Lantern Archon to examine the top 3 cards of his deck and rearrange them. He sees: Belt of Physical Might, Dawnflower's Kiss and Consecrate. He will leave the cards in that order and then draw Belt of Physical Might.

Recharge Bound Lantern Archon, revealing Autumn Witch: 1d10 + 7 + 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 7 + (4) + 3 = 24

Uliah will discard Blessing of the Everlight to explore again and encouner Card 2: Runelord Alderpash. Ah, darn. No spells in hand means everyone needs to take 2d4+1 Fire Damage. For his damage, Uliah will discard his Demon Armor to reduce it to 0.

Runelord Alderpash? What is that man doing here? Before Uliah can ponder on the wizard's motives for longer, a huge fireball explosion envelops the whole group.

I would have to discard my last ally to keep exploring, so I won't for now. Uliah will end his turn.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Skill Feat: Constitution +1
Card Feat: Armor, and Uliah will be putting Fortified Breastplate back into his deck to fill the empty slot.
Power Feat: Reveal an ally to add 1d4([x]+2) to your Combat or Divine check.
Medal: Clarity

Uliah would like to take either the Spell 5 to get Hallow, as mentioned above, or the Spell 4 to get Channel the Gift. I'm open to others opinion on which one of those cards is better! Otherwise, my preference is in that order.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Actually, with a Spell 5 Uliah could get Hallow, which I would have never considered a worthy spell until I read the description for this scenario.

This might be the one time this spell is actually good. This could buy us a lot of turns at the cost of putting Uliah at a bit higher danger of dying (which I'm willing to do).

Uliah's Deck Handler

And it's actually Uliah's turn, which will be under the Blessing of Ascension.

Uliah is going to move to the Rasping Rifts. At the end of his move step, he is going to recharge his Blessing of the Oathkeeper to recharge a card from his discard pile: Blancher.

Uliah will explore and encounter Rasping Rift Card 1: Paralyze. He is going to try to acquire it, using his power to reveal Cleric of Nethys, adding 1d4+1 to his Divine check.

CtA Paralyze Divine 8: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (5) + (3) + 7 + 1 = 16

Acquired! Uliah will then bury Bound Lantern Archon to examine the top 3 cards of his deck: Dawnflower's Kiss, Hrilga Shield-Maiden and Autumn Witch. Uliah will put Hrilga Shield Maiden on top, then Autumn Witch, then Dawnflower's Kiss, and draw Hrilga Shield-Maiden.

Recharge Bound Lantern Archon, Divine 10: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (4) + (2) + 7 + 1 = 14

Now, Uliah will discard his Cleric of Nethys to examine the top 2 cards of Rasping Rifts. Card 2 is Mace of Smiting (Weapon 6), Card 3 is Rift Demon. Uliah will leave them in that order and then explore to encounter Card 2: Mace of Smiting. He will try to acquire it.

CtA Melee 13: 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

This weapon is very useful now that I don't have Blancher in hand, so I'm going to use a Die Bump to acquire it.

Uliah will now discard his Blessing of the Lord in Iron to explore again and encounter the Rift Demon. Before I act, someone has to encounter the Servitor Demon.

BYA Servitor Demon, 1: Uliah, 2: Ramexes, 3: Nyctessa, 4: Amaryllis: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Amaryllis will have to encounter the Servitor Demon.

For his check to defeat, Uliah will reveal the Mace of Smiting, recharging Paralyze. Since Rift Demon has the Outsider trait, Mace of Smiting adds 3d8+3, and Uliah's power adds 4. Additionally, I get to ignore any effects increasing the check's difficulty. Uliah will also reveal Hrilga Shield Maiden to add another 1d4+1 to his Combat check. This is not considered to be playing a card. Blessing of the Lord in Iron is adding 1d6 to my Strength checks this exploration. Finally, might as well spend a Mythic Charge as I'm about to get another one.

CtD Combat, Melee 30: 1d20 + 3d8 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 11 + 3 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (16) + (6, 5, 5) + (6) + (4) + 11 + 3 + 4 + 1 = 61

Rift Demon is defeated. I'm going to give a Mythic Charge to Amaryllis, she has had to spend her charges fighting Deskari's minionsNyctessa for the lolz, Hopefully you can blast Deskari to oblivion with 9 Mythic Charges!. Uliah will end his turn.

Uliah's Deck Handler

So, when Uliah defeated God Caller Opon, I forgot to take 1d4 Mental Damage.

Mental Damage for Uliah: 1d4 ⇒ 3

At the time, Uliah's hand consisted of Blancher and Belt of Physical Might, which would have needed to be discarded.

Since Uliah took damage, he would have drawn 2 other cards when resetting his hand at the end of his turn. His hand after the end of his turn would have been...

Uliah would have still discarded his Demon Armor during Ramexes turn to negate the Acid Damage. Then, during Nyctessa's turn, he must fight a Favored of Deskari.

Thankfully, Orcish Earthbreaker would be the weapon I rolled for the check, and the only difference with Blancher is that it gives 2d6+2 instead of 2d6+4, and the 6's won't explode (not that they ever had for me anyways). The result of my first check would have thus been 40 (since there's no Belt of Physical Might anymore) instead of 44, which is still enough.

However! Favored of Deskari forces a re-roll, which I will do below.

CtD Combat, Melee 35: 1d20 + 11 + 2d6 + 2 + 4 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 11 + (4, 2) + 2 + 4 + (3) + 1 = 40

With this, everything is back in order.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Ramexes' turn, Uliah discards Demon Armor to reduce Acid Damage to 0.

During Nyctessa's turn, Uliah summons and encounters the Servitor Demon:

Favored of Deskari:

Henchman 6
Type: Monster
Traits: Outsider Vermin Demon Barbarian Mythic
To Defeat: Combat 35
The Favored of Deskari is immune to the Electricity and Poison traits.
If your check to defeat has the Attack trait, expend a mythic charge.
If you succeed at the check to defeat, reroll the dice; take the new result.
If defeated, you may immediately attempt to close the location this henchman came from.

For his check to defeat, Uliah will reveal Blancher to add +2d6+4, and another +4 (his Wisdom mod) from his power. He will also reveal his Belt of Physical Might for +2, and his Cleric of Nethys as part of his power to add +1d4+1. Finally, Uliah will spend a Mythical Charge to replace one of the 1d6 with a 1d20.

CtD Combat, Melee 35: 1d20 + 11 + 2d6 + 4 + 4 + 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 11 + (4, 2) + 4 + 4 + (1) + 1 + 2 = 44

Defeated! Ramexes gains a Mythic Charge, and so does Uliah after defeating a Mythic Bane.

A powerful demon emerged from the rift to try and take advantage of what it assumed was Uliah's weakened state after having channeled such immense divine energy. Truth is, Uliah's connection with Sarenrae had made him a living conduit for its warmth. If there was a limit to Sarenrae's might, Uliah didn't know it, and the so-called favored of Deskari would briefly realize this before disintegrating upon touching Uliah's blade.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Amaryllis' turn, Uliah needs to encounter a Mythic Glyph. For his check to defeat, he is going to reveal Evangelist using his power to add +1d4+1, and then reveal Evangelist for its power to add +1 to his check.

CtD Divine 17: 1d10 + 1d4 + 1 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (7) + (3) + 1 + 7 + 1 = 19

Defeated! Uliah gets an additional Mythic Charge, bringing his total to 7. Perhaps it's time to hit the Deskari Piñata? In addition, He discards the top 3 cards of his deck: Blessing of the Everlight, Blessing of the Oathkeeper and Major Cure.

Uliah grasped the bow that Amaryllis handed him. It was a strange request, but after all they've been through, he implicitly trusted all of his companions.

The warding magic was powerful on the bow indeed, but Uliah's divine power was able to overcome it.

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Deskari. Maybe it's a sign?...

No. Too many resources spent to get to 66, and we might not need that much time to finish the scenario.

At the end of Uliah's move step, he is going to recharge Dawnflower's Kiss to recharge a random card from his discard pile: Hrilga Shield Maiden.

Then, Uliah is going to explore...

Random Card to encounter, ignoring results of 2 and 8: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Uliah encounters Gate of the Worldwound Card 6: Telekinesis Trap. For his check to defeat Uliah will display Chalice of Ozem to give himself +1d6 to his checks. He is going to reveal Evangelist for his power and its power to add +1d4+2 to his Divine check.

CtD Divine 12: 1d10 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (6) + (5) + (2) + 7 + 2 = 22

"Another trap" - Uliah thought. "What are they hiding here? I better prepare."

Now, Uliah will bury Bound Lantern Archon to examine the top 3 cards of his deck: Renewal, Restorative Touch and Blessing of the Lord in Iron. He will put Blessing of the Lord in Iron on top and then draw it.

Recharge Bound Lantern Archon: 1d10 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (9) + (6) + (4) + 7 + 2 = 28

Then, Uliah is going to discard Evangelist to explore again. He encounters...

Random Card to encounter, ignoring results of 2, 6 and 8: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Uliah encounters Card 4: God Caller Opon

Before I act, I can attempt a Diplomacy 25 check, and I will. For the check, I will ask Ramexes to use his Blessing of Isis to add a die and the Acid trait to my check, which allows Uliah to recharge his Autumn Witch to add a die. Finally, I will spend a Mythic Charge to replace one of the 1d8 with a 1d20.

Through the gate, Uliah found the summoner that had been tasked with bringing Deskari forth: God Caller Opon.

"Stand down, Opon! My army and that of the other champions of Queen Godfrey have you all surrounded both from this world and the abyss. Our gods smile upon us and protect us. Yours has already been beat by our champions twice just today. Repent, and your soul might yet find redemption in the dawnflower's light!"

BYA Diplomacy 25: 1d20 + 2d8 + 12 ⇒ (7) + (6, 6) + 12 = 31

Success! Amaryllis gets a Mythic Charge and Uliah gets to add 2d20 to his check to defeat God Caller Opon.

CtD Divine 25: 2d20 + 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4, 18) + (3) + 7 = 32

Success! God Caller Opon defeated.

Opon falters just for a moment, which gives Uliah an opening to channel positive energy in mythical proportions, banishing the ghostly summoner forever.

Uliah is all peltered out and will be ending his turn and resetting his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

Uliah will explore to encounter Gate to the Worldwound Card 1: Lend Mythical Path. Uliah will try to acquire it, revealing Hrilga Shield Maiden to add +1d4+1 to his check. Uliah will also display Divine Fortune to add another +1d6.

CtA Divine 14: 1d10 + 7 + 1d4 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 7 + (1) + 1 + (2) = 19

Acquired!Uliah will immediately bury it to explore again and encounter Card 2: Deal with a Demon, which is displayed next to the scenario, but is defeated.

Uliah will discard Hrilga Shield Maiden to explore again and encounter Card 3: Demonic Fly. I encountered a Demon, so I must recharge a card: Orcish Earthbreaker +2. Gate of the Worldwound is now flipped (and temporarily closed, I think?)

For the Combat check, Uliah will reveal Dawnflower's kiss to add +1d8+4 to his Combat check, and another +4 from Uliah's power. He will also reveal Autumn Witch to add +1d4+1 to his Combat check, and Belt of Physical Might to add another +2. Divine Fortune is still in effect.

CtD Combat, Melee 13: 1d6 + 11 + 1d8 + 4 + 4 + 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 + (1) + 4 + 4 + (4) + 1 + 2 = 29

If defeated, the Fly deals 1 Acid Damage to Uliah. He discards the Celestial Armor as damage. He is out of explores, so Uliah will end his turn. At the end of his turn, he attempts to recharge Divine Fortune, revealing Autumn Witch to add +1d4+1 to his Divine check.

Recharge Divine Fortune, Divine 13: 1d10 + 7 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 + (4) + 1 = 16

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Xoveron.

Then, he is going to explore and encounter Rasping Rifts Card 1: Celestial Armor. I could use some armor, so I will discard Blessing of the Everlight to add 2 dice to my Constitution check. I will also reveal my Belt of Physical Might to add +2.

CtA Constitution 10: 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1, 4) + 2 = 13

Uliah's Deck Handler

Two corrections to my turn:

-I did not gain a Mythic charge. Somehow I misread the location's power as applying to all monsters, but it only applies to henchmen. Therefore, Uliah's mythic charge count is at 5. I would appreciate it if Ramexes can use a Mythic Charge during his turn at the Rasping Rifts to return Uliah his charge.
-The DC for the BYA for Corruption Demon was 14, not 11. As such, I need some rescuing, else I'll end at the Middle of Nowhere and time is our most valuable resource in this scenario (more than usual). Because of this, I ask Nyctessa to use her Blessing of the Lady of the Graves to add to my check after the roll. I will roll my Wisdom die under the spoiler below to allow Nyctessa to decide without looking at the results.

Check this after deciding if Nyctessa is willing to bury BoLadyGraves:

Adding to Uliah's BYA check against Corruption Demon: 1d10 ⇒ 4

With this, everything in Uliah's turn would have remained the same, sans his Mythic Charge count as outlined above.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Amaryllis' turn, Uliah needs to make a Dexterity 11 check or be dealt some Acid Damage. He can't easily make that check, so he won't try. Putrid Ooze forbids banishing armor to reduce the damage, but my Demon Armor allows me to discard it to reduce damage to 0 (since I'm proficient with Heavy Armors, so I do!

Demons had to be good for something, or at least their hide was. The ooze threatened to eat through Uliah's armor, but it never actually did. Actually, the armor seemed to be slowly "healing" the damage it had received. Uliah was glad he had accepted Nyctessa's offer to skin and magically enchant that demon's hide.

Starting Uliah's turn. It is the hour of Deskari.

At the end of Uliah's move step, he is going to recharge Major Cure from his deck to recharge Demon Armor from his discard pile.

Uliah is now going to explore. He encounters The Rasping Rifts Card 1: Corruption Demon. Ugh, this guy is very annoying.

Uliah is going to discard his Blessing of the Lord in Iron to add another die (and hope for the best).

BYA Knowledge 11: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9

Thankfully, I'm able to recharge my Cleric of Nethys to add 2 to my check after the roll and succeed.

Now, for the Combat check, Uliah will reveal Dawnflower's Kiss to add +1d8+4 to his check, and another +4 from his power. He will also display Righteousness to add another +1d6 to his Combat check. Since all monsters are Mythic, Uliah will discard a Mythic Charge to replace the 1d8 with a 1d20.

CtD Combat, Melee 25: 1d6 + 11 + 1d20 + 4 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 11 + (9) + 4 + 4 + (1) = 32

Success! Ramexes gains 1 Mythic Charge, and so does Uliah!

Uliah will now end his turn. At the end of his turn, Uliah attempts to recharge Righteousness.

Recharge Righteousness, Divine 13: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Then, Uliah resets his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Card Feat: Considering how often I've found myself without a weapon in hand lately, I think it's best if I try to make that not happen. Uliah will take a Weapon Card Feat.

Medal: Of Valor (Melee: Strength +5)

Deck Upgrades: Uliah also has the ability to take an extra deck upgrade, but I think I will hold it off for the last mission, unless my top 2 choices end up being uncontested.

Weapon 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 582 - Orcish Earthbreaker +2, filling in empty slot
Ally 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 909 - Autumn Witch
Item 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 51 - Carpet of Flying

Scenario Reward: Uliah will grab Demon Armor from his box and add it to his deck, replacing Fortified Breastplate.

Other: Uliah banished his Dancing Scimitar during this scenario. He will add it back into his deck when rebuilding his deck.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

Uliah will move to the Locust Shrine.

Once there, he will cast Major Cure on itself.

Uliah heals: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Uliah heals Redeemer Blacksmith, Blessing of the Everlight, Retainer and Blessing of the Oathkeeper. Then, he heals one more card: Blessing of Deskari.

Recharge Major Cure, Divine 10: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Uliah's will end his turn. Before resetting his hand, he will discard his Fortified Breastplate, as it seems that he won't be able to use it anyway. Then he resets his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Nyctessa's turn, Uliah receives a Mythic Counter from Ramexes bringing his counters to 7, then he encounters the Abyssal Army.

For the check to defeat, Uliah will display Chalice of Ozem to add +1d6 to his checks, reveal Evangelist to add +1d4+1, then recharge Evangelist to add +1d6 to his Divine check. Uliah also gets to add +1d8 from his power against banes with the undead trait. He will also discard Blessing of Deskari to add 1 die to his check. Finally, he will discard 1 Mythic Charge to gain Divine: Wisdom +5.

CtD Divine 23: 2d10 + 9 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 1 + 1d6 + 1d8 ⇒ (1, 4) + 9 + (1) + (1) + 1 + (4) + (1) = 22

I can't believe how unlucky a roll that was. Uliah will use a die bump to succeed.

EDIT: Uliah hadn't seen that Nyctessa has a Blessing of the Lady of the Graves. As discussed in chat, Uliah will instead bury Nyctessa's Blessing of the Lady of the Graves to add his Wisdom die to the check after the roll

Adding to previous check: 1d10 ⇒ 8

Success!! Barely!

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Amaryllis' turn, Uliah displayed Redeemer Blacksmith for Uliah's power to add its adventure number (3) to Amaryllis' check.

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

At the start of his turn, Uliah retrieves Redeemer Blacksmith from his display area.

Uliah will display Divine Fortune to add +1d6 to all his checks this turn. Then he will explore to encounter Cathedral of Chaos Card 1: Tapestry Maze. Before encountering it, he summons an Ivory Templar.

For his check to defeat, Uliah will reveal blancher to add +2d6+4, and another +4 from his Wisdom modifier after revealing a Weapon. He will also reveal Evangelist for his and its power to add +1d4+2 to his Combat check, and his Belt of Physical Might to add +2 to his Strength check. Divine Fortune is still active and it adds +1d6. This is more than enough to auto-defeat the templar.

For his check to defeat the tapestry, he will discard Blessing of the Everlight. Since Uliah has the Warpriest trait, it adds 2 dice to his Wisdom check. He will also reveal his Evangelist to add +1 to the check.

CtD Wisdom 15: 3d10 + 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (8, 4, 1) + (2) + 4 + 1 = 20

Defeated! Uliah will now discard Retainer to explore again. He encounters Cathedral of Chaos Card 2: Umbral Dragon. Yikes. Before the encounter, Uliah encounters an Ivory Templar, whcih he auto-defeats again by revealing the same cards as before. The dragon's BYA will affect characters at a random occupied location:

Random occupied location (1: Nyctesssa, 2:Ramexes, 3:Uliah, 4: Amaryllis): 1d4 ⇒ 4

Amaryllis needs to make a Fortitude/Constitution 11 check or bury her role card. Uliah isn't planning on playing any spells with the attack trait, so he ignores the other BYA.

CtD Combat, Melee 24: 1d6 + 10 + 2d6 + 4 + 4 + 1d4 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 10 + (5, 2) + 4 + 4 + (1) + 1 + 1 + 2 + (1) = 35

Same revealed cards for second combat check.

CtD Combat, Melee 24: 1d6 + 10 + 2d6 + 4 + 4 + 1d4 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 10 + (1, 3) + 4 + 4 + (2) + 1 + 1 + 2 + (1) = 34

Uliah will now discard Redeemer Blacksmith to explore again and encounter Cathedral of Chaos Card 3: Stringy Fiend. He once more summons and auto-defeats the Ivory Templar. The fiend's BYA power affects a character at another random occupied location.

Random other occupied location (1: Nyctesssa, 2:Ramexes, 3: Amaryllis): 1d3 ⇒ 3

Lol. Amaryllis needs to succeed at a Dexterity/Acrobatics 10 check or move to Cathedral of Chahos and be unable to play spells or weapons during the encounter.

CtD Combat, Melee 24: 1d6 + 10 + 2d6 + 4 + 4 + 1d4 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 10 + (2, 3) + 4 + 4 + (3) + 1 + 1 + 2 + (4) = 40

Defeated! Uliah closes Cathedral of Chaos by banishing Blancher (which banishes Dancing Scimitar +2 from my deck).

Uliah will now end his turn. At the end of his turn, he attempts to recharge Divine Fortune, revealing Evangelist for both powers to add +1d4+2 to his Divine check.

Recharge Divine Fortune, Divine 13: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (4) + (1) + 7 + 2 = 14

Then he resets his hand.

When a character at your location encounters a card, you may give 5 of your mythic charges to other characters at your location; you choose how to distribute them.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Uliah will take Amaryllis on her offer and use her Blessing of the Gods to copy Blessing of Baphomet, adding +2d12 to his check due to this happening during the first exploration of a turn. Uliah will also reveal Evangelist for its power to add 1 to this check.

CtA Redeemer Blacksmith, Intelligence 8: 1d6 + 2d12 + 1 ⇒ (1) + (7, 12) + 1 = 21

Acquired!

Uliah's Deck Handler

I'm not sure what happened in my post above; perhaps it was too late and I needed to go to sleep, but I could have sworn my result against BoInheritor was 19. Alas, without it I wouldn't have had a 3rd explore I could use, so Maze Tapestry should still be on top of Cathedral of Chaos, and Uliah never discarded his blessing of the Everlight to add 2 dice, nor did he display Divine Fortune.

For some reason, I also forgot to add 4 to the DC of the check to acquire the Wand of Sacred Weapon, though I did note that I had failed to acquire it but then added it to my hand anyways...yeah, maybe I was tired.

In summary, for my post above: Blessing of the Inheritor was not acquired, Wand of Sacred Weapon should not be in my hand, and the third exploration didn't happen. My hand after all these changes should be like this:

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Nyctessa's turn, Uliah gets pulled to the Occult Library as he is not able to make the dexterity save.

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Pulura.

Uliah will move to the Cathedral of Chaos. He will explore to encounter Cathedral of Chaos Card 1: Blessing of the Inheritor. Due to the location's powers, he will also summon another random blessing: Blessing of Torag. No thanks! I'll take the Blessing 6. Blessing of Torag is banished and Uliah will try to acquire Blessing of the Inheritor.

Uliah will choose to not summon the Shadow Demon. For the check to acquire, Uliah reveals his Bound Lantern Archon to add +1d4+1 to his Divine check.

CtA Divine 14: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (1) + (4) + 7 + 1 = 13

Uliah will now discard Blessing of the Oathkeeper to explore again and encounter Cathedral of Chaos Card 2: Potion of Healing. Uliah also summons a random item: Wand of Sacred Weapon. I will encounter Wand of Sacred Weapon instead. I will choose not to encounter Shadow Demon. I will reveal Evangelist for the Divine check to acquire for both its power and my power.

CtA Divine 10: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3) + (1) + 7 + 1 = 12

Banished. Uliah will now bury his Bound Lantern Archon to examine and re-arrange the top 3 cards of his deck, then draw a card: Righteousness, Fortified Breastplate and Divine Fortune. Uliah will re-arrange them as Divine Fortune, Fortified Breastplate and Righteousness, then draws Divine Fortune.

Recharge Bound Lantern Archon, Divine 10: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (10) + (1) + 7 + 1 = 19

Uliah will discard Blessing of the Inheritor to explore again and encounter Card 3: Maze Tapestry.

Before I act, I summon an Ivory Templar. For the check to defeat, Uliah will display Divine Fortune to add +1d6 to his checks. He will also reveal his Blancher to use his Melee +2d6+4, and another +4 from his power (Wisdom mod). He also reveals his Belt of Physical Might for +2, and Evangelist for +1d4+1 and then for +1.

CtD Combat, Melee 20: 1d6 + 11 + 1d6 + 2d6 + 4 + 4 + 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 11 + (6) + (1, 1) + 4 + 4 + (3) + 1 + 1 = 33

For the check to defeat, Uliah will display Divine Fortune, adding +1d6 to his checks. He will also discard Blessing of the Everlight to add 2 dice to his Wisdom check, and reveal Evangelist to add 1.

CtD Wisdom 15: 3d10 + 4 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (8, 7, 2) + 4 + 1 + (4) = 26

Uliah will end his turn. At the end of his turn, he will attempt to recharge Divine Fortune, revealing Evangelist to aid with the check.

Recharge Divine Fortune, Divine 13: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (5) + (3) + 7 + 1 = 16

Then, Uliah resets his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

Uliah explores Abattoir to encounter Putrid Ooze.

Before the encounter, he summons Ivory Templar. For the combat check against it, he reveals his Striking Wing Scimitar for +1d6+2, and another +4 from his Wisdom modifier. He also reveals Evangelist for +1 and then for +1d4+1, and his Belt of Physical Might for another +2.

CtD Combat, Melee 24: 1d6 + 11 + 1d6 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 + (1) + 2 + 4 + 1 + (4) + 1 + 2 = 28

Then, for the actual encounter, Uliah can't make the BYA check, so he takes some acid damage.

BYA Acid Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Could have been much worse. I will discard Fortified Breastplate, Hrilga Shield Maiden and Blessing of the Oathkeeper to damage.

For his combat check, Uliah reveal Striking Wing Scimitar to add 1d6+2, and then his Wis modifier of +4, to his check to defeat. He will also reveal Evangelist to add a total of +1d4+2 to his check, and Belt of Physical Might to add another +2.

CtD Combat, Melee 26: 1d6 + 11 + 1d6 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 11 + (4) + 2 + 4 + 1 + (3) + 1 + 2 = 34

Knowing what's ahead, Uliah will choose to stop here, but he will first heal himself. Uliah casts Restorative Touch on himself.

Heal Uliah: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Recharge Restorative Touch, Divine 11, revealing Evangelist: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (6) + (1) + 7 + 2 = 16

Excellent. Uliah is back up to full. He ends his turn and resets his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Gah....I once again previewed without posting....and I'm almost out of time to post. Abridged version of my turn.

Uliah used Bound Lantern Archon to examine the top 3 cards of his deck, he sees Blancher, Fortified Breasplate and Striking Wing Scimitar. He leaves them as they are, then draws Blancher. Bound Lantern Archon is automatically recharged after he reveals Evangelist for it's power and his power to add 1d4+2 to his Divine 1d10+7 against a DC 10 Divine check.

Then, Uliah explores. He encounters Verminous Symbols. He summons an Ivory Templar, which he automatically defeats after revealing Blancher which adds +2d6+4, and another +4 from his power for revealing a weapon, then revealing evangelist for both powers to add +1d4+2, then Belt of Physical Might to add +2 for a total of 3d6+23 against DC 24.

Against the barrier, Uliah discarded a mythic charge to get Fortitude: Con+5, then he discarded Blessing of the Everlight to add 2 dice to his check, revealed Evangelist to add 1 and Belt of Physical Might to add 2.

CtD Constitution 17+4: 3d6 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 5) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 18

Uliah then has to discard his Blancher and Verminous Symbols is shuffled in. With no weapon, Uliah doesn't risk exploring the Abattoir and ends his turn.

Uliah resets his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Uliah will be gaining the Mythic Medal of Spirit for the reward of 1-6C.

He will choose to add a Spell to the list of rewards. Since I have control over the DB, the spell that is added is:

Icy Prison:

Spell 5
Traits: Magic Arcane Divine Attack Cold
To Acquire: Intelligence Arcane Wisdom Divine 12
For your combat check against a monster, display this card to use your Arcane or Divine skill + 4d6. While displayed, reduce damage that monster deals to you by 2. At the end of the encounter, if you do not have either the Arcane or Divine skill, banish this card; otherwise, you may attempt an Arcane or Divine 14 check. If you succeed, recharge this card; if you fail, discard it.

Uliah would like to take a Spell 5 deck upgrade.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Nyctessa's turn, a lot happened. First, Uliah played his Blessing of the Everlight due to Unstable Accelerant. I'm just now realizing we could have displayed it to prevent it from being discarded, but oh well. Then Uliah discarded Shortspear +3 as a point of mental damage. Finally, Uliah got Holy Radiance from Nyctessa.

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Baphomet.

Unfortunately, Uliah can't quite make it all the way to the Soul Forge. At least not reliably. Because of this, he is just going to sit and guard the Cavern. Since he is here, he might as well explore.

Uliah will explore to encounter Cavern Card 1: Pit Gladiator. Cool. Uliah automatically succeeds at the Melee 12 with his 1d6+11 Melee and at the Diplomacy check with his 1d8+11 Charisma. Pit Gladiator is acquired!

Uliah will discard Pit Gladiator to draw Shortspear +3 from his discard pile and then explore to encounter Card 2: Manual of War. Uliah also automatically acquires this card.

Uliah will now discard Hrilga Shield Maiden to explore again and encounter Card 3: Celestial Armor. The one turn I'm looking for a fight and I get all boons, lol. For the check to acquire, I will display Manual of War to give myself a Con skill feat. I will also reveal my Fortified Breastplate to add 3 to my check, and my Belt of Physical Might to add another +2.

CtA Constitution 10: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Acquired! I have to end my turn here. Manual of War is discarded from display. Before resetting my hand, I will discard the Shortspear +3. Then I reset my hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Sarenrae.

Amaryllis had warned Uliah of the horrible concocture at the torture chamber. With the dawnflower's light shining upon him, he felt the bravest he had felt in a long time; that is: afraid, but resolute to see this through. Uliah delved into the chamber looking to destroy it if he could.

Uliah moves to Torture Chamber. When he does, he recharges Dawnflower's Kiss to recharge a random card of his deck: Chalice of Ozem. Then he is going to explore to encounter Torture Chamber Card 2: holy-freaking Nocticula in the flesh. I'd rather not play any boons due to unstable accelerant, so I will ask Amaryllis to discard Blessing of the Gods to add 1d12 to my check.

CtA Diplomacy 20: 1d8 + 1d12 + 11 ⇒ (4) + (7) + 11 = 22

Uliah couldn't have possibly prepared for what was waiting for him inside the chamber. Walking about casually was Nocticula, the redeemer queen herself! Lucky for Uliah, Nocticula had been looking for them to join them in bringing down these demons. Uliah didn't wish to even begin to understand what she could gain from it, but there would be time for it.
"If you need me, just call my name and I shall assist you....but DON'T YOU DARE fail me human." With that, she disappeared, leaving Uliah to wonder if he had imagined this all.

Since there are no more boons in this location and the villain can't be here, I will end my turn here and reset my hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Uliah's last turn, Chalice of Ozem should have been discarded, not recharged. It was fixed.

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

Uliah will move to the Occult Library. At the end of Uliah's move step, he is going to recharge his Blessing of the Lord in Iron to recharge a random card from his discard: Cleric of Nethys. The he is going to explore and encounter Occult Library Card 1: Breath of Life.

CtA Divine 13: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Acquired! Nice. Uliah will cast Breath of Life on Nyctessa to heal her.

Cure Nyctessa: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Recharge Breath of Life, Divine 15: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Finally, I will Aucina Fermender on top of Uliah's deck to examine the bottom card of Occult Library: an Item 6, Bountiful Bottle.

Uliah will end his turn and reset his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Resuming turn. For the first combat check, Uliah is going to reveal Shortspear +3 to add 1d6+3, and +4 from his power, then also reveal Cleric of Nethys for +1d4+1, and Belt of Physical Might for +2. Chalice of Ozem is still in effect, adding +1d6 to all of Uliah's checks.

CtD Combat, Melee 30: 1d6 + 11 + 1d6 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 1d4 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 11 + (4) + 3 + 4 + 2 + (3) + 1 + (1) = 34

I think at this point Uliah has a better shot at defeating the villain than Ramexes, so he will also do the second check to defeat. For this one, he is going to spend a mythic charge so that he can hopefully pass it to Ramexes.

CtD Combat, Melee 30: 1d20 + 11 + 1d6 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 1d4 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 11 + (5) + 3 + 4 + 2 + (2) + 1 + (1) = 34

Villain is defeated and escapes. Uliah regains a mythic charge for defeating a Mythic Bane. Ramexes gets a Mythic Counter and Harvester Pit is closed. Ramexes and Uliah draw 2 cards when the villain is defeated. Uliah drew Bound Lantern Archon and Dawnflower's Kiss.

Before ending his turn, Uliah will cast Major Cure on Ramexes to get it out of his hand.

Heal for Ramexes: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Recharge Major Cure, Divine 10, revealing Cleric of Nethys: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (10) + (4) + 7 + 1 = 22

Uliah heals the only card in his discard pile and, most importantly, his deck is shuffled.

Uliah will now bury Bound Lantern Archon to examine and re-arrange the top 3 cards of his deck: Aucina Fermender (YES!!), Blessing of the Everlight and Blessing of the Lord in Iron. I leave them in that order and then draw Aucina Fermender.

Recharge Bound Lantern Archon, Divine 10: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (8) + (3) + 7 + 1 = 19

Uliah will put Aucina Fermender on top of his deck to move to Soul Foundry, which has been shuffled after the villain escaped.

Uliah will discard Cleric of Nethys to examine the top 2 cards of this location, re-arrange them and then explore (card 11 will be the villain).

Top Card 1 at Soul Forge: 1d11 ⇒ 2
Top Card 2 at Soul Forge: 1d11 ⇒ 5

Cards are Card 2: Shocking Lance +1 and Card 5: Helm of the Serpent King. I will put the lance on top and try to acquire it.

CtA Melee 13: 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

Acquired! I can now go about the place discarding weapons since I have so many :p. I'm out of ways to explore so I will end my turn. Before resetting my hand, I will discard the lance I just acquired. Chalice of Ozem is recharged from my display area, and then I reset my hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During Ramexes' turn, Uliah receives Shortspear +3. Thank you, Ramexes! He also acquired Druid of the Storm from Rallying Cry during Amaryllis' turn.

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Deskari.

Uliah will display Chalice of Ozem to add +1d6 to his checks this turn. Uliah will then explore to encounter Haverster's Pit Card 1: Yracandra, a Villain!

As discussed in chat, Nyctessa automatically succeeds at temp-closing the Occult Library, and we all need to take 1 point of irreducible mental damage. I will discard Druid of the Storm as damage.

Before he acts, Uliah recharges 2 random cards from his hand:

Random card from hand: 1d7 ⇒ 2
Random card from hand: 1d7 ⇒ 6

Blessing of the Oathkeeper and Aucinda Fermender. That's sad. Uliah will ask Nyctessa to display Create Mindscape at Harvester's Pit to add 1d4 to Uliah's Wisdom check. Chalice of Ozem is in effect giving him another 1d6.

BYA Wisdom 14: 1d10 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (7) + (3) + (4) + 7 = 21

Ramexes still needs to recharge 2 random cards from his hand and attempt the Wisdom 14 check. I'll pause here in case he needs my cards, Ramexes can display my Cleric of Nethys to add +2 to his check if he needs to.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Uliah auto-succeeds at both of the possible checks to acquire Druid of the Storm.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Abraxas.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst, Uliah prepared for the potential ambush up ahead.

Uliah will bury Bound Lantern Archon to examine and rearrange the top 3 cards of his deck. He leaves them in the following order: Cleric of Nethys, Blessing of the Lord in Iron, and Gravetender. Then he draws a card. Uliah will attempt to recharge Bound Lantern Archon revealing Cleric of Nethys.

Recharge Bound Lantern Archon, Divine 10: 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3) + (1) + 7 + 1 = 12

Then, Uliah will cast Renewal to draw a card: Blessing of the Lord in Iron.

A sudden painful scream got Uliah moving towards its source, not noticing he had failed to draw his weapon.

Uliah explores to encounter Cell Card 1: Demon Brawl.

Two demons are fighting each other. Uliah thinks to himself that this is why the forces of evil can't ever win; they will never be able to truly cooperate. As the demons notice his presence, however, he is forced to postpone his musings and banish the creatures.

In a strange case of "silver linings", Uliah is completely immune to both creatures' BYA powers since he has no attack spells or weapons in his hand. Uliah will choose to fight the Treachery Demon first.

Powers
The Treachery Demon may not be evaded and is immune to the Electricity and Poison traits.
Before the encounter, succeed at a Wisdom 12 check or a random character at this location is dealt an amount of Combat damage equal to the number of spells that have the Attack trait and weapons in your hand.
If undefeated, discard 2 cards from the top of your deck. If defeated, draw 2 cards.

For the combat check, Uliah will reveal Cleric of Nethys to add +1d4+1 to his Combat check. He will also reveal his Belt of Physical Might to add another +2. Finally, I will discard my Blessing of the Everlight to add a die.

CtD Combat, Melee 23: 2d6 + 1d4 + 11 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4, 5) + (4) + 11 + 2 + 1 = 27

When defeated, Treachery demon allows Uliah to draw 2 cards: Grave Tender (ADV 2) and Chalice of Ozem. Excellent. Uliah will now encounter the Vulture Demon. The difficulty is increased...

Second combat DC increase: 1d10 ⇒ 4

Vulture Demon:

Powers:
The Vulture Demon is immune to the Electricity and Poison traits.
Before you act, succeed at a Constituion or Fortitude 9 check or you may not play boons that have the Attack trait or weapons during this encounter.
If undefeated, each character at your location is dealt 1d4+1 Electricity damage.

Even without a weapon, the dawnflower's might courses through Uliah's veins and he is able to repel the demon, who is an especially easy target for his Divine power since he is distracted by the opportunistic Vulture Demon.

As he deals the finishing blow to the treachery demon, the vulture demon seems to see an opportunity and lunges at Uliah...

For the second combat, Uliah will discard his Blessing of the Lord in Iron to add 2 dice to his CtD. He will continue to reveal his Belt of Physical Might and Cleric of Nethys to add a total of 1d4+3 to his Combat Melee (strength) check.

CtD Combat, Melee 23: 3d6 + 1d4 + 11 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6, 5, 1) + (1) + 11 + 2 + 1 = 27

...but Uliah saw the attack coming from the beginning. He was ready to dodge the demon's initial attack, blind it with Divine light and then strike at it with Sarenrae's divine fire blade arts.

Uliah will close Cell, burying Grave Tender to do so. When he does, he draws the Cohort Aucinda Fermender.

The feeling of victory lasted but for a moment, as he noticed that one of his followers had become trapped inside of a cell. Uliah tried for several minutes to tear the door off of its hinges to no avail. "It must be magically protected. I will have to bring Amaryllis or Nyctessa to take a look. I give you my word, I will come back for you as soon as possible!" Uliah blessed his companion and left her with provisions.

Uliah was about to leave when he noticed a woman with orcish features laying on the ground motionless. "Could this be...?" Uliah determined the woman wasn't dead, but very weak. He cast a restoration spell on her and she was able to confirm his suspicion: this was Aucinda herself.

Before ending his turn, Uliah will put Aucinda Fermender on top of his deck to move to Haverster's Pit, then cast Restorative Touch on himself.

Restorative Touch on Uliah: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Recharging Restorative Touch, Divine 11 (revealing Cleric of Nethys): 1d10 + 1d4 + 1 + 7 ⇒ (9) + (2) + 1 + 7 = 19

After a brief talk and introductions, Aucinda tells Uliah that she was trapped in the same way his companion had just been trapped. Unfortunately, she has no idea how to unlock the cell. As far as she knows, she just appeared out here a few moments ago. However, before being captured, she thoroughly explored this location. She shows Uliah a shortcut taking them to a harver pit.

Uliah ends his turn, when he does, he attempts to recharge Renewal.

Recharging Renewal, Divine 11 (revealing Cleric of nethys): 1d10 + 1d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (1) + (4) + 7 + 1 = 13

Then Uliah will reset his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Uliah will begin at the Cells

Uliah will be taking Dawnflower's Kiss, Blancher and Chalice of Ozem, replacing Dancing Scimitar +2, Giantbane Curveblade +3 and Codex of Conversations, respectively[/b]

Uliah replaced his Blessing of the Qi Zhong with Blessing of the Oathkeeper (ADV 6) from his deck upgrade.

Uliah's hand size is now 7.

Uliah entered the tower with the rest, but was having trouble following them. By the time he realized what was happening, he was already lost, and the others nowhere to be seen.

He seemed to be in some sort of dungeon. Before him laid a long corridor with cells on both sides of the walls. Much to his surprise, he could hear quiet voices somewhere up ahead. Could these be Aucinda's missing expedition? No...it's been years, they should be dead. But what if...?

He began walking slowly towards the sound.

Uliah's Deck Handler

End of Scenario 1-6B

Scenario Reward: I will gain the Mythic Medal of Command on Champions of Mendev.

Deck Upgrade: I would definitely want to take one of the Blessing 6. I would use it to replace Uliah's Blessing of the Qi Zhong with a Blessing of the Oathkeeper.

Then, I imagine Nyctessa is going to want to go for the Ally 6 but if it or another Blessing 6 are still available after everyone has picked 1 boon, I would like to check off the last box of Treasure Hunter (a boon) to also gain one of those boons.

Tier Reward: Power Feat to increase hand size to 7.

Loot: I will continue to take Dawnflower's Kiss and Blancher into his deck, unless someone else wants them. Additionally, I would like to Chalice of Ozem for this mission, replacing Codex of Conversations.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Uliah will choose a Blessing for the scenario reward.

Uliah's Deck Handler

I'll resume at this point, since Nyctessa has confirmed she will not have any problem reducing this villain to smithereens in a creative way ;)

Looking around him, Uliah sees Nyctessa rise into the air. There's a sense of pressure emanating directly from her. Uliah has to avoid focusing on her aura or risk being overwhelmed by it.

Seeing Yalek-vor prepare a counter spell against Nyctessa, Uliah jumps in and asks for divine intervention to make the demon's tongue stuck in its horrendous mouth and its thoughts clouded.

After the DC reduction, the Divine check is probably easier to succeed at than Combat for Uliah, so he will attempt that one instead. For his Divine check to defeat, Uliah will reveal Evangelist using his power to add 1d4+1, and then recharge it to add 1d6. Uliah will also discard his own Blessing of the Everlight to add 2 dice. Create Mindscape is still in effect, giving Uliah another 1d4.

CtD Divine 30-13=17: 3d10 + 7 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (4, 6, 6) + 7 + (2) + (2) + 1 + (1) = 29

An intensely bright light shines in the cavern. Yalek-vor screeches in agony as it's bathed in the light, causing its flesh to burn. More importantly, he's clearly lost concentration on whatever foul magics it was intending to cast, giving Nyctessa an opening to complete her ritual.

Letting Nyctessa do the second check, as she will have a very easy time doing so.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

The party has scouted out Yalek-vor's location and have moved in position for an ambush. It falls to Uliah to initiate the assault.

He can feel the demon's powerful aura and can't help feeling afraid. This is, by far, the most powerful foe the group has had to face, but there is no turning back, it's now or never!

Uliah draws his sword and leads the charge.

Uliah will explore to encounter Yealek-Vor. Since it has the demon trait, Uliah recharges his hand and draws 5 cards: Blessing of the Everlight, Blancher, Evangelist, Bound Lantern Archon and Cleric of Nethys. Then I need to take some damage.

BYA, Combat damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Combat damage is reduced by 3 because of Misthorn. Uliah discards Cleric of Nethys and Bound Lantern Archon as damage. Now, everyone needs to make a Wisdom 12 check. Create Mindscape is in effect boosting this Wisdom check by +1d4.

BYA, Wisdom 12, revealing evangelist for Uliah's and its power: 1d10 + 1d4 + 1 + 1 + 7 + 1d4 ⇒ (3) + (2) + 1 + 1 + 7 + (3) = 17

The demon was expecting them! The ambush is falling apart as Uliah takes vicious blow after vicious blow. Thanks to Amaryllis' help, howver, Uliah is able to withstand the worst of it and manages to get back on his feet.

Uliah shouts to the society members and the rest of the group: "Don't lose heart now! The dawnflower's light will see us through!"

I will pause here for Nyctessa and Ramexes to make their checks and then to discuss who should do which check. Uliah can use Blessing of the Dawnflower on anyone who needs it to give them +2 dice to their wisdom check.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

For his move action, Uliah will move to the Cavern. At the end of his movestep, he will recharge Augury to recharge Giant bane Curve Blade +3 from his discard.

Then, he will sit tight waiting for Amaryllis to be in position to strike.

Quick Note: Ramexes doesn't have the Sin Seeker anymore; it was banished by restorative touch.

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Baphomet.

I'm going to take a chance and explore. Uliah explores Abattoir Card 1: Gargoyle. That's not so bad. Uliah will display Divine Fortune to add 1d6 to his checks this turn, and then he is going to spend 1 Mythic Charge.

CtD Combat, Melee 18: 1d20 + 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (16) + (6) + 11 = 33

Defeated! Ramexes gains a Mythic Counter

The locust swarm came and tried to ravage Uliah. He managed to resist their attacks, but felt utterly disoriented. His powers, his weapons, they all seemed to come and go. He had to stop to refocus his power.

Uliah ends his turn. At the end of his turn, he attempts to recharge Divine Fortune.

Uliah's Deck Handler

It seems that I messed up with my last post somehow. Probably pressed preview and never actually posted. In any case:

Uliah receives one mythic counter from Ramexes, bringing his total up to 6. Then, he encounters the Favored of Deskari. When he does, he recharges his 6-card hand and draws 5 cards: Codex of Conversations, Restorative Touch, Fortified Breastplate, Divine Fortune and Mantle of Faith.

Without a weapon, Uliah's chances against the Favored of Deskari are slim to none, especially he would have to re-roll on a success. I'll be cutting my losses instead, burying Mantle of Faith to reduce damage to 0. Favored of Deskari is undefeated, so the top card of the blessing's deck is shuffled into Abattoir.

Before anything else happens, Uliah will cast Restorative Touch on Ramexes. Ramexes can banish Sin Seeker and also cures for...

Cure Ramexes: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Recharge Restorative Touch, Divine 11: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Uliah's Deck Handler

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

At the start of his turn, Uliah takes 1 fire damage due to Molten Pool's power. He discards Hrilga Shield Maiden to the Fire Damage. Then, he will cast Major Cure on himself, which at a minimum heals him for 3 cards, which is all the cards in his discard pile. Uliah reveals Evangelist for +1d4+1 to his Divine check to recharge, and +1 for the Evangelist's power.

Recharge Major Cure, Divine 13: 1d10 + 7 + 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 7 + (3) + 2 = 13

Uliah will then move to the Abattoir. He will explore to encounter Duergar Cultists. The scenario power triggers. Uliah recharges his hand and draws 3 cards: Cleric of Nethys, Giantbane Curveblade +3 (phew!) and Renewal.

For the BYA check, Ramexes discards his Blessing of Milani to add 2 dice to my Wisdom check.

BYA Wisdom 12: 3d10 + 4 ⇒ (6, 2, 2) + 4 = 14

For the Combat check, Uliah will reveal and discard Giantbane Curve Blade +3 to add +1d10+2d4+3 to his Combat check, and +4 thanks to his power. He will also reveal Cleric of Nethys to add +1d4+1 to his Combat check, and then he will Duergar Cultist's power to recharge Cleric of Nethys and add another 1d4.

CtD Combat, Melee 34: 1d10 + 3 + 1d6 + 4d4 + 1 + 10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (5) + (4, 1, 2, 2) + 1 + 10 + 4 = 33

I will use a die bump to succeed. Uliah won't be able to defeat the Brimorak with 0 cards in his hand, so he will not spend a mythic charge to attempt to close.

Uliah ends his turn and resets his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

Resuming turn.

The cultists here use their strange powers to twist and disorient Uliah. He still has a weapon in his hand, but he is struggling to find his divine power.

Amaryllis jumps in, unphazed, and takes care of the fiend that one of the cultists summon.

With that threat out of the way, Uliah finds his wits and goes to neutralize the cultist.

Uliah automatically succeeds at the check to defeat the Blackfire Adept with his 1d6+10 Melee. He then closes Molten Pool by taking 7 Fire Damage. He discards all 3 cards in hand.

As the cultist falls, it channels unto itself the surrounding lava and explodes, showering Uliah in it and causing severe burns.

He stops to try and find his connection to Sarenrae once more, asking for the ability to heal.

Molten Pool is closed. Ramexes casts Major Cure on Uliah, as discussed in chat.

Heal Uliah: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Uliah heals Cleric of Nethys, Blessing of Qi Zhong, Dawnflower's Kiss, Belt of Physical Might and Sawtooth Sabre +2. He will then end his turns and reset his hand.

Uliah's Deck Handler

During my last turn, I forgot to make the check to attempt to recharge Divine Fortune.

Recharge Divine Fortune, Divine 13: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Starting Uliah's turn under Blessing of Ascension.

Right as Uliah would resume his exploration of the cavernous system under the sky citadel, he received a Sending spell from Amaryllis: "The Cavern is a trap. Ambush imminent. Leave at once!" Uliah pondered for a moment whether some sort of trickery was afoot, but ultimately resolved to try and regroup and see what was the truth face-to-face.

Uliah will move. Due to the location's power, he moves to a random location.

Random Location to move to: 1d5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

As he leaves in a hurry, Uliah finds himself before a grizzly scene of dismembered bodies. This must be some sort of abattoir.

After his move step, Uliah will recharge his Major Cure to recharge Blessing of the Everlight from his discard pile. Then, he explores to encounter Abattoir Card 1: Immortal Ichor. Ramexes cannot play cards or use powers during while I act.

For the combat check, I will discard Blessing of Lord in Iron to add 2 dice to my Melee check. I will also reveal Cleric of Nethys to add +1d4+1 to my combat check. Then, I will spend 2 Mythic Charges.

CtD Combat, Melee 31: 2d20 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (7, 10) + (1) + (2) + 11 + 1 = 32

The blood on the floor somehow coalesced into a grotesque slime-like creature. Strangely, Uliah could feel an incredible amount of divine power emanating from it. But something was off about it. The light of his purification spells couldn't touch it, so he had to bring it down as it was beyond redeeming.

Ramexes gains a Mythic Counter. Since Immortal Ichor had the Mythic trait, Uliah gains a Mythic Counter as well.

Uliah will now discard Cleric of Nethys to examine the top 2 cards of Abattoir. Uliah examines Card 2: Duergar Cultists, and Card 3: Sawtooth Sabre. Uliah rearranges them so that Card 3 is on top, and then explores to encounter Card 3.

CtA Melee 11: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Acquired! Good, I really needed that. Uliah isn't quite ready to face the cultists, so he will end his turn here.
