If allowed, I could make use of Wan's new Quick Setup skill feat to make moderate bottled sunlight in 2 hours. Moderate Bottled Sunlight: The bomb deals 2d4 positive damage and 2 positive splash damage, as well as 2d4 additional fire damage. As normal, positive damage harms only undead and other creatures with negative healing. Undead with a particular vulnerability to sunlight (such as vampires or wraiths) take the maximum amount of positive damage from bottled sunlight (4 instead of 1d4). Back in Otari... Wrin slowly approaches Wan at his beloved workbench as he tinkers with a strange circular bauble that glows with a softly pulsing light. "Sweetling?" the normally-composed nephilim asks nervously. Wan looks up, annoyance quickly muted on his face. "Yes?" he coos. Wrin nods. Wan makes a curious purring note in his gullet and stands up. "Really?" Wrin nods again, a slow smile spreading hesitantly across her face. "Sweetheart...." He rushes to embrace her. The camera pans down to the pulsing bauble on the workbench....and the scene fades up on it as well, this time with the bauble firmly implanted in the trimmed feathers on the tengu's chest, the pulsing thrumming with energy as Wan walks the well-trod path leading back to the Gauntlight with his colleagues. The tengu thinks back on Wrin's parting words. "Go. But do come back, sweetest Tu Wan Clang. You've got more than one of us to care for now." GM, can Wrin do her night sky reading for us before we head back?

"Does it match what Quara told us earlier----SQUAWK!" Wan pulls his wing away from a sudden shocking blast from the suit of armour on which he is working, shaking it painfully. Random Determination of which Armour Rune: 1d4 ⇒ 1 *whew* That was one of the resilient runes (Wan would always separate property runes before fundamental runes - I mean, are we BARBARIC? (no shade to our barbarian friends) Dunno if my critical failure destroys that rune... Wan clucks and speaks again, peering with a frown at the troublesome suit of mail. "If what the drow told us is true, then the urdefhans has TWO of the lenses, right - the emerald and the ochre?" He grimaces as he tries again to unhouse the pesky armour rune. "That'll teach someone to try and ensheathe Aggro-Wan in slimy black worms!" Wan says with foolish bravado, just before the tentacles grow back and attempt to grab him again. Wan's never seen this spell! He doesn't know!

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 PASS! - I never remember, does that mean I've fought off the poison? Wan's arm ratchets up. "Only got about one more juiced swing here..." I get a +13 counteract check against a 4th level spell (at the maximum). Counteract Check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16 I'm sure that didn't work. Oh well - item consumed (until Wan makes one again in 24hrs). When the spell effect fails to end, Wan sighs. "Oh well, I can always fall back on THIS!"
