I know this is a longshot considering the last Paizocon that had this was eight years ago, but I recently decided to start building out Bastardhall and would love to pick the brains of anyone who played in Wes's Paizocon games over the years so I can at least try to make the beginning of the adventure match up closely to his epic games. Anybody who played in those still around?

When the CS forums were closed earlier this year, we were told it was to streamline the workload and make everything much smoother. Well it seems like that's not really working as expected, and now because the forums are still listed as a way to get CS help on the FAQ page, we're seeing an influx of what would have been CS requests in the General Discussion forum or in the Website Feedback forum. It seems like it might be better just to bring back the CS forum instead of forcing people to flood unrelated forums with their posts?

Maggie, thank you for this very powerful and poignant blog post. This is definitely signifying a move in the right direction from where Paizo was just a handful of months ago, so thank you for your work and words there. Proud to stand with you today, visible and fighting.

Hey team, I've seen some confused and frustrated customers lately who have said they've tried to call, and while the phone number's been removed from most places, it's still showing here.

So here's the thing. It's been an incredibly stressful and intense week in the Paizo fandom. We've seen lots of threads, lots of posts, lots of old members of the community returning because of the things that have happened. This isn't another thread about the allegations though, instead, this is a thread about the thing that I have felt absent during this whole mess, and that's a strong hand from the Paizo side of the community. Some of this is due to the CS staff losing two of it's team members suddenly, but as that was the inciting incident of the whole mess, it feels like that can't really be taken into consideration here. We've seen heated threads start up and go days without moderation at all, despite people admitting that they are on those threads just to troll other community members. We've seen people on both sides of the argument hurling personal insults and attacks at each other (I'm not without fault here). We've seen several versions of the same topics pop up. All the while, the Director of Community has been mostly silent. The Director of Community has moved a couple of threads, deleted some spam, and then really only in the last couple of days made her presence known in the actual threads where there have been problems. Even then it's short little snippets to detail what moderation she has done, and not actually talking with the community to see why we're hurting and what she can do to help. This might just be me, but it seems like the Director of Community should be there to support the community, to help keep conversations on topic, to prune things up if there are too many threads going with the same topics (speaking plainly the "Care to Rebuttal" and "Let me make this clear" threads should probably be closed and consolidation condensed just to the main blog and the call for accountability threads). Plainly stated, the community is hurting and the Paizo team member that should be the one to help us heal seems to be mostly missing.

This is a lot of words to basically say mostly nothing again. Disappointing. Glad to hear that you've reversed course on mandating people return to the office. Sad that it was only after the loss of people so important to the work you've been doing. Glad to hear that the cleaning was an issue but that it eventually got addressed. Edit: Specifically regarding this - Quote: The welfare and safety of our employees is paramount. No employee will ever be fired for whistleblowing or advocating for employee safety and wellbeing, and we have never fired an employee for doing so. Of course not. You're an at-will State. Nobody would be fired for doing so, you just fire them because you can.

So my group is finally getting back to our Curse of the Crimson Throne game after over a year off thanks to Covid and an international move. The problem lies in that we lost two players, and are replacing them with two new players. We're still in book one, so it's a little tougher to find a good entry point for two new characters. But last night I had an epiphany to bring in at least one of them, and that's to replace Trinia Sabor with the new PC, and allow the new character to be on the opposite end of the shingles chase. I'm delighted with this idea and can't wait to see it play out on Saturday.

Hey, it seems like my post last month was lost in the shuffle, but it didn't matter due to the delay of the Druma book. I'd like to cancel my sub for that book and will pick back up with the new World Guide. Thanks!

Seems like obituary threads haven't been prevalent with recent APs, but this campaign seems like a good candidate to bring them back. I haven't started my own game yet, but surely one of you monsters have to have killed a PC already, right? please try to include

I went on a bit of a buying spree the last couple of days because I want to make two displays in my room. The first will be a small, Teen Titans shrine. In that display will be "Teen Titans" (first series) #1, New Teen Titans #1 (and will be signed by George Perez), NTT #2 (first Deathstroke, also signed), Tales of the Teen Titans #44 (first Nightwing, also signed), along with two signed action figures - First Appearance Nightwing, and a Deathstroke figure. I own the full Wolfman and Perez run of Titans, but those are the important issues to me. Still trying to figure out exactly how to set the display up. The second display will be a big bigger comic wise, it will be my Supergirl wall. On it will be Action Comics #252 (first appearance of Supergirl), Action Comics #285 (the issue where Superman reveals her existence to the world), Supergirl (first series) #1, Daring New Adventures of Supergirl #1, Daring New Adventures of Supergirl #13 (first appearance of the 1980s era costume, with the headband, and my personal favorite), and Crisis On Infinite Earths #7 (death, signed by George Perez). Those are most of the gems of my collection, tell me a little about yours!

So we put our two campaigns on a month hold to get in on the playtest. As I'm planning on running Carrion Crown when we're done with Runelords in a couple months, I decided to use the playtest to run some prelude story, specifically the breaking of the lesser seals. I started tonight with Crown of the Kobold King to lead into Hungry are the Dead. For our party the Bloodrager was pretty effective, and the Slayer made skill checks like nobody's business. The Swashbuckler was effective, but did run out of panache pretty quickly. The Skald's player was having an off night with dice and did almost nothing. The War Priest (Urgathoa - magic blessing) didn't do much beyond what a normal cleric would do, but did one shot six kobolds at once with a negative channel. We'll be back at it in two weeks to finish Cobold King, then I'll have them level as necessary for Hungry. If we still have time by the time the playtest is over, I'll also run Tomb of the Iron Medusa.

These arrived today in one box (which is awesome thanks for combining them!) But seemed to be missing the Shattered Star dice set. The Runelords and Carrion Crown ones were in there, along with all the books and Pandemic, but no Shattered Star dice :(

Hi CS team, Sara said in the October thread to start a new thread if our sub hadn't shipped and there wasn't anything that should be holding it up. All the products were Ship from Warehouse (exception of Guide to the River Kingdoms - near mint, but that was confirmed not to be a problem in an earlier thread) just seeing if my order is lost in the cracks.

Is it still pending because between when I added it to the sidecart and now the near mint copies of Guide to the River Kingdoms sold out? If so can we remove that book from my cart and add Fey Revisited? That way my order can get out ASAP and not wait for GttRK?

So my local BAM! finally got some Pathfinder Tales books in, only problem is that they only got Pirate's Honor (which doesn't interest me that much, sadly) and Kings of Chaos. I did buy Kings as I've heard great things about Mr. Gross's novels, but wanted to know how lost I'll be if I haven't read the other novels.

Now it's a book I purchased back in December, so I don't really expect there to be anything anyone can do, but my copy of Adventure Path #44, Trial of the Beast came apart. No other wear and tear really, but the cover just fell off like the glue used didn't hold. Again I don't really expect anything to be able to be done, but maybe if anyone has an idea of what kind of glue I could use to put the cover back on?

Here's an idea that I think could be good. Blank pawns, for player's to print out their own art on sticker paper (or draw on if they were so inclined) to make specific pawns for their own campaigns (or older APs that aren't likely to get their own sets). I do this currently for Curse of the Crimson Throne, mostly utilizing my unused Skulls & Shackles pawns or extras I have of other things, but blank pawns would be excellent for such a purpose.

Is there any possibility of waiting til at least Tuesday (the 11th) for this to be charged? That's payday and when I'll have the money available to process the order worry free. Whoops copied the wrong order number. This is the one: 2355805

So I've been running Curse of the Crimson Throne for a couple months now (but only four sessions as my group has only met every three weeks) and are almost done with book 1. I also just started running Rise of the Runelords with another completely different group. I do eventually want at least a character or two to crossover, any ideas on how to go about that? |
