Appearance
A wiry 50 year old man with fire hardened lines all round his bushy face and bright inquisitive eyes, Tresmeer tinkers away with his pipe befouling the air.

Personality
He is a friendly, family man with a passion for arcane magic and a pragmatic approach to problems.

Family
Tresmeer lost his wife last winter to the fevers. He now lives alone with his grizzled dog, Sabre. His first son, Garath, has taken over the smithy business mostly and seems to have a way with metalwork. The second son, Laric, and daughter, Mellice, both have families and farms of their own.

Background
Raised by the dwarf smith Tobor, after a raid took both parents, Tresmeer found the heat and noise to his liking. However his younger sister, Pagent, didn't fit in so well but she found a natural talent for sorcery. When Tobor returned home, he left Tresmeer the forge and the young man built a thriving business. With that wealth, the smithy paid for Pagent to go to the Bonded Tower in Leke and study dweomercraft, and he also had sufficent funds left over to start his own family.
Aunt Pagent used to visit often and her discussions of magic fired her brother's mind. Every time she came, the family welcomed her in and Pagent would taught long into the night with Tresmeer. He dreamt of one day combining her magic and his crafting skills to make magical items of all kinds. That dream was dented by the Fire of Leke ten years ago which destroyed much of the distant town and Pagent was lost in the blaze.
The Tower sent on a few of her things, including a blank spellbook, but Tresmeer had temporarily lost his appetite for magic.

With time, he again talked with customers and travellers alike about magic. But since his wife's death Tresmeer has become a little lost, none of his projects help much as the elderly man looks for some greater purpose.
