Sovereign Court

Torquat quite visibly grinds his beak, not appreciating the extra attention being drawn to him by his sponsor.

"Thank you, sir." He replies in careful moderation. "Giovanni-san, you seem to have a fair understanding of Tien culture, or perhaps is it of alcohol culture? Regardless, yes, a story is often ideal when consuming sake, however I would appreciate it if you would not speak ill of the Pathfinder Society, they are a capable means of making connections, seeking fortune and fame, and otherwise experiencing the world and the challenges and cultures it offers."

Sovereign Court

"I'm not saying it dangerous, its just an undesirable section of the Coins. As for Champagne, I don't know, as I don't know much about it beyond that. Perhaps there's some sort of special history about it." Torquat replies, shrugging somewhat dismissively.

"Tenguzake? Watashi wa sore no izureka o motte itanode, hisashiburi. Īe, watashi wa arukōru ga watashi to yoku suwatte imasenga, watashi wa izureka o motte irubekide wa nai to katei shimasu. Watashi ga koko ni iru riyū no sono isshu."

Tien:
Tengu sake? Been a long time since I had any of that. No, I suppose I shouldn't have any, alcohol doesn't sit well with me.Its sort of the reason I'm here.

Sovereign Court

"Watashi wa seikaku ni tokutei nai ndakedo, sore wa osoraku anata no saikō no shotto ni narudarounode, gurandobazāru wa, tsūjō, subete no shurui no seihin o teikyō s+%!e imasu. Watashi wa shikashi, fukō no rēn o kaihi jogen suru, jōken wa ni pleasent sukunaishi... ga arimasu." Torquat replies, his expression becoming somewhat dour at the end. He clears his throat before continuing, now in Common, "Champagne is an alcoholic beverage that those of the Inner Sea Region seem to enjoy, more specifically those of high society or of Taldor."

Tien:
I'm not certain to be exact, but the Grand Bazaar usually has products of all sorts, so that'd likely be your best shot. I would advise avoiding Misery Lane however, the conditions there are...less then pleasent.

Sovereign Court

"Aisatsu, Metsumo-san wa, shuken saibansho pasufaindārojji e yōkoso. Watashi wa anata no shiriai o tsukuru koto o ureshiku omoimasu." Torquat replies in fluent Tien, bowing in a polite Tien manner, his Amanandari accent clearly exemplified to those who are fluent in Tien. "Kare o kinishinai, anata wa subete ga kangei sa re, shuken saibansho no hatten ni kenshin o shimeshite iru kagiri, watashitachi no rojji no ichibudearu to, sono yōna mono o motte suru hitsuyō wa arimasen."

Linguistics DC 20 or Fluency in Tien:

"Greetings, Metsumo-san, and welcome to the Sovereign Court Pathfinder Lodge. I am pleased to make your acquaintance."

"Don't mind him, you are not required to possess anything like that to be a part of our lodge, so long as you show dedication to the development of the sovereign Court, all are welcome."

Knowledge Local DC 20 (DC 10 for Tien natives):
Torquat's bow convey's proper respect to another, and indicates the belief that the other is of equal or greater social standing than he.

Sovereign Court

"Practical Reasons?! A practical person, no matter how concerned they are in saving time, should know better than to inconvenience others and break proper protocol, especially with the kind of people that reside here!"

Torquat huffs, his feathers ruffling. "And if you are useless to the Pathfinder cause, as well as the cause of those who work to progress the Sovreign Court, then, as Brightscar-san said, what is the point of you being here? If there is none, then you have caused a commotion with no reason, and thus I advise that you vacate the premises."

Sovereign Court

"D'Amore-san, I believe that Domiscuro-san was indicating that there is a separate entrance for bringing in personal belongings, as well as other larger objects that may not necessarily fit, or are too obtrusive or obstructive in the entrance hall. He was not indicating that you cannot bring your belongings into the Lodge, just that you were bringing them in the wrong entrance." Torquat says, feeling somewhat peeved that he'd need to explain proper protocol to someone raised in a noble setting.

Sovereign Court

Torquat looks up from his sword, scowling as best as he can (a beak provides severe limitations as per facial expressions). Carefully resting his sword on the chair upon which he had been seated, Torquat stands up, strides over to the arrival, and extends his hand.

"Torquat "Kyojin-Kira", warrior indentured to the Veskel family. I dare hope you bring more than good looks and fancy introductions to the field." Torquat introduces himself, carefully scanning the young man.

Knowledge (nobility) DC 20:
The Veskel family is a decently well known Elven family in northern Taldor. They are known for not purchasing slaves, but instead scout for criminals that are redeemable enough, and buy out their sentence, binding them to service to the family until their debt is paid fully. Many of these criminals take a liking to the Veskel family afterwards, and either continue working for them, or maintain contact with the family (more often the one who cleared them of their charges).

The Veskel family is currently headed by Inspel Veskel Sr. an Accomplished Wizard who has done well to maintain family relations within the Inner Sea Region, and has two children currently active in the Pathfinder Scoiety; Inspel Veskel Jr., his first-born son and a capable Magi, and Mirana Veskel, a half-elf daughter from his second (and much more recent) marriage, who is a proven Summoner.

Sovereign Court

Torquat only makes a glance out the window, seeing the display, and groans.

"All these nobles, nobles-sons, and other well-off folk. Big fancy displays and all, so utterly bothersome. The powerfully built Tengu mutters as he turns back to his sword, bringing the whetstone carefully along its edge.

Sovereign Court

M'am,

You have my Axe!
