"Hmmm. I should probably explain the magic I intend to work for you. I intend to magically link two mirrors together. That is why I asked if you had any large mirrors around. With a sufficiently large mirror you will be able to have entire parties of people walk into a mirror here, and walk out of a mirror in your castle." Tink explains. "All I need to be able to work the magic is the two mirrors. Once the mirrors are linked you should be able to move them as you wish. However if you move them too far apart the connection will break."
He tilts his head at Gwen as he watches for her reaction.

"As to the unwanted guests, the easiest way to prevent that would be to bar entrance to the magic itself, rather than to try restrict who the magic would work for. I think I should be able to do this for about... Oh thirteen thousand gold."

The DC to hear combat is -10. That's not the modifier. That is the actual DC.

There is a table of modifiers on that page.
The ones in play here:
Character making the check is asleep +10
Distance to Source +1/10ft
Possibly could say unfavourable conditions as there are multiple tents in the way which would muffle noise and other camp noise going on, for +5.

Total DC to hear sound of combat for 50ft away while asleep in unfavourable circumstances:
-10 (base) +10+1*5+5=10

Maxing sense motive is not quite enough, when you are looking at people with +18 Bluff at level 7...

With max ranks and a wis score of 18 and class skill bonus:
7+4+3=+14
Even skill focus only takes that to +17.
You would need to spend a very significant portion of resources to a very specific task to have any more than a 50% chance of success.

Once he deems them to be far enough away again he stops and says to Lynn "The fake left by some form of teleportation effect. I do not know where it went. If that creature can imitate a god it can surely imitate anyone in the camp. I don't have any means to detect such trickery either. I think we should be careful."
