When I read this book I had to double check that this was only the first book in the AP. It starts out at ideas that other APs have spent several books building up to and goes further. The set pieces are amazing and strung together in an interesting story. The combat balance is well done, and no fights jump out as needing tweaked. It's an incredibly strong start to an AP and I can't wait to start running this.
