So, how's everyone doing? Me, my allergies are stomping on me but life is good so I am going to shut up about that and suffer quietly.
Sorry Rei, I was talking about dialog, but sometimes my words fail me. What I was trying to say is that I find it difficult to come with something interesting to add when I am not in the driver's seat. I am not complaining, after all, the only person that should be in the driver's seat is you by virtue of the character you've chosen. To put it another way, could the rest of us post more dialog and flavorful posts? Yes. Is it easy to do so when your character isn't the decision maker? I don't think so. That said, you have given me food for thought, perhaps I can be more inventive/imaginative when I post. I do agree that more frequent posts would be helpful if we can manage it (I check this page daily except when I am on vacation, so I don't have a problem posting daily).
Just wanted to add, as far as carrying the group, someone has to be the guy who goes in first and Garrokmal is the one best suited for it. So naturally Rei is going to have the most typing to do. That said, as of this writing, Hieronymous has 7 posts less than Garrokmal... Perhaps, one day, I will carry the group!

I have to admit I panicked when I saw the ring, any of us could use it, so who does it go to? Otherwise I am fine with the slow pace.

I lived there for about 9 months in 1999, girlfriend got allergies so we moved back to Reno. Nice to visit, but definitely way too hot, I don't miss it much.
I like it, navigation is intuitive, colors are awesome, the only thing I find a little weird is how the bottom of the Home page has a lot of empty real estate. But maybe not best to listen to my opinion, people say I look at the world a bit differently. I used to do the same thing Rei, we lived in a sort of rural area and none of my nerd friends were anywhere nearby, so I did a lot of solo playing. That world ending Titan campaign sounds amazing.
Hi Ithrinniel, your turn will be after the second yeth hound goes, assuming that it isn't dead yet (it's going to eat poor Hieronymous).
I typed up something and they my old eyes clicked the wrong thing and now I have to retype! Hopefully Ihtrinniel makes her saves, I think I am going to have to burn a hero point, or three...
Thanks Ithrinniel! So, there's a guy at work who is less than a year older than me, I've known him for 4 years, every year he talks about how much older he is than I, and I remind him that I am pretty much his age. Yesterday I realized that he truly believes I am in my mid thirties (I am 47). I think I am going to give up trying to convince him.

I agree with both of you, I tried to look at things from their point of view, my conclusion is that from where they sit (static raid, same people all the time), the guild doesn't seem to have any problems. Some of the replies to the thread you are talking about (from people I had considered to be friends), made me sad, but I guess like many things, the Iron Circle of old couldn't last forever. We had a good run though. The reality is that guild chat is dead and the forum is dead (possibly partly my fault, I've pretty much given up saying hi or gnight when I log on and off, as I rarely got any replies). Combine that with other changes to the game that make it easier to pug than to group with friends, and the fact that I don't even have to leave my stronghold to gear up... it just doesn't seem like much of an MMO from outside the static group. On the other hand, I get a lot of stuff done outside of computer gaming, so maybe it's better to be playing a game that I don't really spend much time in. The sun is so bright though...
Hey Rei and Riatin, mostly out of curiousity, what made you stop playing WoW? The main reason I still pay is to play with my son when he feels like it.

Happy belated Thanksgiving all! I'm thankful for ibuprofen (should have stopped somewhere before that last beer I had).
I'm about to start a second WoW account for my son, so I'll probably hold off on the Hero lab, though it sounds pretty cool. I added two points to my skills Riatin, not sure where the extra 2 points came from but I'll take them!
Vacations are good, I'm guessing you'll enjoy it more than you're enjoying this!
I figure we'll let Zaf and myself finish introducing ourselves to Ithrinniel and then we'll probably be ready to sleep. Then, tomorrow (game time), we can greet her as if we know her and maybe help win Garrokmal over to her side.

Despite the fact that the sale of the The Cold Iron dagger would finance a better spear for myself, I think it should probably go to Zaf if he wants it, or Erin, if he is still playing.

And if no one else wants the silver dagger, it isn't worth too much but is probably worth keeping in case we fight something that is affected by silver, I think one of us should hang on to it.
Riatin, It looks like there is a little place we haven't explored under the Sandpoint (left side of current map), and if I remember correctly there was a passage we haven't explored that heads off to the northeast. am I correct?
Yeah, Shard Explosion reads pretty cool, I'll have to be careful if it does affect friendlies. At this level I can only use it once per day, so I'll probably save it up and never use it... There was another Revelation I wanted to take that allows me to walk us through walls, but it has a minimum level of 7.
That was much better, this is what I am seeing or am choosing for Hieronymous at level 3: BAB +1 (bringing it to +2)
Feat - Power Attack - You can choose to take a –1 penalty on all melee attack rolls and combat maneuver checks to gain a +2 bonus on all melee damage rolls. This bonus to damage is increased by half (+50%) if you are making an attack with a two-handed weapon, a one handed weapon using two hands, or a primary natural weapon that adds 1-1/2 times your Strength modifier on damage rolls. This bonus to damage is halved (–50%) if you are making an attack with an off-hand weapon or secondary natural weapon. When your base attack bonus reaches +4, and every 4 points thereafter, the penalty increases by –1 and the bonus to damage increases by +2. You must choose to use this feat before making an attack roll, and its effects last until your next turn. The bonus damage does not apply to touch attacks or effects that do not deal hit point damage. Revelation - Shard Explosion - As a swift action, you can cause jagged pieces of stone to explode outward from your body. These shards deal 1d6 points of piercing damage per two oracle levels (minimum 1d6) to all creatures within a 10-foot burst. A Reflex save halves this damage. In addition, the broken shards make the area difficult terrain until your next turn. You can use this ability once per day, plus one additional time per day at 5th level and every five levels thereafter.

Just a heads up, i am going to be camping... again... 4 days from Thurs-Sunday. My wife has gone camping crazy, that should be the last trip until spring break hopefully. How do I get back the strength that the quasit drained from me, do I need to be healed or does it just come back overnight? RNG is killing us.
I am currently subbed to WoW and have been on a few times, I was playing my hunter Ricochet and I saw you on a couple nights ago but I think you were in an instance. Guild chat is very quiet, but Rev and Ru were chatting with me a bit, so I can attest to some friendliness. Still a little weird though, for instance Deth is on quite a bit but never says anything in green, I guess everyone uses mumble to talk now and my preference to only be in mumble when I am in an instance is not conducive to bonding... plus I have spent more time in the last few years playing Eve than WoW. As I probably mentioned before, I have really mixed feelings about the upcoming expansion, to me it reads too much like Burning Crusade 2.0, which could be a good thing but I would prefer to see something totally new. That said, I was not able to get into the Pandaria thing at all, and have been bouncing back a forth between WoW and Eve, unable to find whatever it is I am looking for. I feel like Blizzard has run out of ideas and now all they have left is self-imitation. I am trying to keep an open mind though, I guess I am waiting to see what the new character models are going to look like and then I'll take it from there.
I realize its not normal to think this much about imaginary resource management. If by that you mean only people that aren't normal think too much about imaginary resource management then I am probably playing this game with the right people! Count me in as ok with potions being awesome by default instead of random. My plan was to cast CLW on Garrock, but then the fear happened and I decided that casting the mist spell would be what Hieronymous would do if he were terrified, even though I know that I personally wouidn't want to do it. Hopefully, we won't all really die!
Hi Lauren, you are more than welcome as far as I am concerned, we appear to have lost our current witch Katarina (who was a really cool person but it isn't really fair to expect Riatin to play that character forever after (I think) 4 months of absence). They call me Thunder (Character is Hieronymous Strong), and most people that know me call me Rob, but that would be weird with this crew so feel free to call me Thunder if you want. Rei said I should try to be funny, I don't feel funny right now, but I have a joke (I am horrible at telling and remembering jokes, good thing there's copy and paste): A pirate walks into a bar, and the barkeep says "Excuse me, cap'n, but did you know that you've got your ship's wheel stuck in your pantaloons?" "Aye," says the pirate, "that thing be drivin' me nuts! Aaargh!"

Sure is quiet in here... I think it was a good idea to wait, this seems like a pretty big fight, would be nice to have Rei's input before we go, but it looks like that is still 3 days away. Up to you Riatin, I can't speaks for anyone else, but I don't mind waiting.

It worked, have fun Rei! Riatin, I feel that it is possible my character would remember asking about a certain creature back when we were talked to Professor Gandethus, and, given that my Int is only average, I might not remember everything he said. I will play as if I have no clue unless you decide that I remember that conversation, or whichever part of it you choose to put into Hiero's brain.

Logged into the Roll20 site, seems pretty cool. Would we just end up moving ourselves, or are you thinking about moving the rolls and stats to Roll20?
Always a question from this Thunder character... Is it a good idea to keep our hp at max as much as possible? I think Garrokmal is missing 3 hp and I am down 4 to 14, would that be considered risky?
Hey Riatin, is it safe to assume our characters will know approximately when it will be close to time to camp or head back into Sandpoint for some rest?
Had fun, the wife, kid and I started camping a few years back to scale down the cost of our vacations, it's a fair bit of work, but you get to do things that would be difficult to do from a hotel room. I went: It's a bit on the cooler side with high's in the low 70's and lows in the 50's, but amazing. The second day we managed to get one of the beach front sites when someone else left it (this meant I had to move my tent and everything, but worth it to look out the tent window and see the ocean about 100 yards away with nothing but sand between you and it).
