![]() Spoiler: It's not my table, but that's simply incorrect on at least two levels. If a target is immune to the originating ability, it cannot be affected by the riders on that ability. You target an ooze with your stare, it is mindless and immune, your stare stops instantaneously and you are no longer targeting it. Your argument is that all stare riders (bold stares and devilbane stares) can affect mindless and immune creatures because you tried to target a creature. Furthermore, there are plenty of mind-affecting spells that describe the effect as 'the target is...' but that does not override the immunity. ![]()
