That chart is helpful for sure.
I was thinking of picking up a Celestial Armor which is a 9 to armor, So just that is 32 without counting in Dex.

What is a good AC for a level 15 melee character?
I am struggling on that other side. Though Bard does seem interesting. Maybe a Skald would fit the martial style a bit better?

Ok on GiTP I am looking to join a 15th level gestalt game. And Most players are submitting monsters such as dragons.

So I wanted to make a Leonal character.
Leonal have a Cr of 12 and the GM has said is how many class levels the character is counted as having for those HD.

Now I have a 25 Point Buy to use as well.
Now I had this idea of a almost Lion-O style character. A valiant and stoic fighter, but perhaps add a little bit of spell casting.

I know of the Bladebound Magus for the Sword-of-Omen feel, but I have no experience with it unless someone can explain it to me.

But I am really coming up with nothing, I normally don't start at this level so I am not used to having such much to work with.

Any Advice?

EDIT: Leonals are depicted as favoring their claws and fangs when fighting, so a very feral style fighter is an interesting idea.

Do you allow any 3rd party? I was more or less asking about a feat called Deadly Agility from Dreamscarred

I am think of doing a Unchained Monk//Empyreal Sorcerer. For utility spells and Wis SADness

Or U.Monk//Warpriest

This is level 3 right? Do we still start with 150 GP?
Or do we run standard WBL?

That is my intent yes.

Working on an idea
Sprite
So the little sprite trickster. I was thinking going Psychic (Self-Perfection).

Mostly going psychic because no weird hand waving, and gives him a Wis to AC bonus without a spell level lost. He would be a CR 1/Psychic 2 so a class level behind till level 5.

I would just like it known I am waiting for every person who accepted to make an entrance post, or at least the ones who reaffirmed interest.

Akvius can you PM me with which of the chosen players you are, so I can get my notes straight?

Almost 200 years ago, when the land that was to become Nirmathas was still a vassal of the empire of Cheliax, the northern reaches of the fangwood were a wild and untamed place. The crusades that laid low the whispering Tyrant to the north were a distant memory, and those who remained were intent upon keeping the orcs of belkzen and the remaining undead from Ustalav in check. As a result, the great forest was full of danger, from marauding orcs to deadly predators, making it unsafe for merchants hoping to trade with the growing community of skelt in the foothills of the mindspin mountains to the west.

The town known as Kassen was founded by a man named Ekat Kassen many years ago. A former adventurer who had found great wealth and settled a small but growing town known as Kassen's Hold. But after ten years the town was met with a man by the name of Asar Vergas along with his host of mercenaries. Asar was an old companion of Ekat, and the two had traveled together for some time before splitting up just after Ekat's last adventuer. Over the years, Asar became sure that Ekat had cheated him after that adventure. For two months Asar relentlessly raided the town. Finally, the townsfolk managed to locate Asar's camp in an ancient crypt deep within the forest, and Ekat himself went out to deal with his old friend.

The battle was terribly bloody, with only a few townsfolk coming back to tell the tale. In the end, Asar was slain and his mercenaries scattered, but Ekat suffered a mortal wound. He died 2 days later, on the 11th day of Neth 4535. In honor of their beloved founder, the townsfolk buried Kassen in the ancient crype, interring his remains in a place of honor, above the simple sarcophagi used to inter Asar and his mercenaries, and the townsfolk that perished in the bitter struggle. They placed an eternal flame above Kassen's final resting place, so that all who visited might find warmth in the wilderness.

Over the year, the Crypt of the Everflame has become an important part of the history of the town, now simply called Kassen. The townsfolk view the crypt as a memorial to those difficult first years of the town's past. Every autumn, a few of the townsfolk make a milgrimage to the crypt to light a lantern from the flame and bring it back to town, where it is preserved all winter, a symbol of the town's resilience. Most years, the town's mayor and a group of dignitaries perform this quest. Every few years, however, a handful of younger townsfolk are given the honor of lighting the lantern. Many see this as a passage into adulthood, a taste of adventure before settling down to work and marriage. Those who come to the town during the autumn are witness to the solemn appearing ceremony.

In recent years the mayor did not take part in the quest he has selected all applicants who offer their hand. Even those not of Kassen are welcome to try, but are told this is a quest of great importance to the town and bids without merit will not be considered. Today is the day they select their brave party who will risk the woods, beasts, and crypt to retrieve a lantern full of light that will keep the town warm through the bitter winter to come.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The town is filled with the soft sound of music, that sounds something vaguely like a funeral dirge as people in darkened clothing leave their homes and head toward the town's large center square. The women wear soft downturned eyes and the men wear their best black or dark clothing.

Mayor Uptal is a large man, standing around 5'10 but has a large round belly that wiggles as he comes up the steps to the stage in the middle of town. He too wore dark clothing, as if a great sad day was upon the town. The kids whisper stories among the gathering crowd, telling stories of people never coming back, of horrible deaths on the journey. Their parents seem to pay them no mind as they whisper back and forth.

The party is among the growing crowd, either local born or visitors from the nearing towns and cities or perhaps just passing through.

Mayor Uptal speaks loudly, perhaps his voice aided by magic to reach the full crowd. He holds up the tarnished silver lantern as he speaks “Once again the winter winds blow through the Fangwood, marking the end of another harvest. There are wolves in the woods, howling at our walls, and serpents in our shadows, waiting to strike. Just as it was one hundred and seventy-four years ago, when Kassen himself left these walls to protect us, so it is today. Where are the heroes? Where are the brave folk that will venture out to Kassen’s tomb and retrieve the flame to keep this community safe for another winter?”

Here is who is in.
Charles, Goldilocks, Ingrid, Daniel Beatty, and Nuandis

Sorry tried to post this via mobile and I guess it didnt go through. And Paizo didn't want to work this morning.

First post is up, sorry I had to check for typos and make sure the information was accurate from the module.

It is, I thought Angelpalm was posting up a full profile so I gave her time.

I am gonna work on the campaign post.

As you know I lost someone close to me recently as well. Still your mother will be in my thoughts as well as you Snowe. Be well.

Myrmidon gets maneuvers? I only know of the Magus archetype of that name

Psionics as in the Psion and such are available. Mostly because I love those classes and have a pretty good handle on their uses.

Dot of Interest, Seems interesting. Interested in a High Elf.

After Ultimate Intrigue comes out.. possibly.

I would suggest Monk, Unchained Monk, Brawler, Sorcerer, Sacred Fist (Warpriest). Anything that does not need to start off with lots of gear.

I do believe he went 45 Point Buy, no rolls.

I hope to see who he picks

Yeah good luck, Did he allow Intrigue archetypes?

Yeah I am curious which ones are still valid.

I was thinking of perhaps a Robert Baratheon style character Grey Paladin//Bard

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

18, 16, 16, 14, 12, 8

I was gonna pick an Aasimar for his race, is that ok?
Can I substitute the spell-like ability for something else on the random table?

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Under 25 Point Buy

Concept:

The concept is a Grey Paladin (Paladin Archetype from Ultimate Intrigue) gestalted with a Bard

The Paladin will be LG but he is more relaxed and enjoys himself with drink and merriment whenever he can. He sings songs of his battles and the tales he has heard from others. He is a man-whore to a point he loves to flirt and use his charisma to bed beautiful women but never steps over the line of making them believe he is anything more than a temporary bed mate and if he has a bastard he spends part of his gold to keep them fed and well off. He might be flighty and borderline drunk but he has his principles. His main focus is the greater good. And hearing of the impending darkness approaching the island nation he figures it might be a good fight, a good story, and most importantly though he won't stress it as hard openly, a chance to do real good.

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Off again by 3...gonna try another post.

Let me know when your done with the concept I dont want to leave someone out. Can someone put up a list of who is in and who is out.

You can take those if they are better for you. Dhampir and Elan are allowed, but need a good reason for being there.

4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 3) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 2) = 9
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 3) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 6) = 19
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 4) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 3) = 13

1d6 ⇒ 4

[6, 3, 3] 12
[4, 4, 2] 10
[4, 5, 6] 15
[5, 5, 6] 16
[5, 4, 3] 12
[4, 3, 3] 10

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
18, 8, 17, 10, 10, 15

Try another Reroll for your characters. And we have various types.
We have at least two ranged fighters, At least 1 skill monkey and I think 1 dedicated caster.

Reroll the 1s

Feel free

I a closing submissions tonight, so you are in under the wire. Feel free to get something together.

This game won't be very hard I don't think. Gestalting a companion would be giving you two gestalted resources. I don't know but my first reaction is gonna be to say no.

Gold Roll
2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7x10 = 70

I will post a full fleshed out background when I get home.

Battle Sorcerer Rolls

[1]4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 4) = 19 (5,4,6) = 15
[2]4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 3) = 17 (5,5,4) = 14
[3]4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 3) = 13 (5,6,3) = 14
[4]4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 1) = 8 (5,4,6) = 15
[5]4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 1) = 13 (6,5,6) = 17
[6]4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 6, 5) = 17 (5,5,6) = 16

Rerolls:

[1]------------
[2]------------
[3]1d6 ⇒ 6
[4]1d6 ⇒ 5
1d6 ⇒ 2
1d6 ⇒ 4
[5]1d6 ⇒ 6
1d6 ⇒ 5
[6]1d6 ⇒ 4

[2]1d6 ⇒ 2
1d6 ⇒ 1
1d6 ⇒ 6

Yeah.. making me wonder if I should go a different route.

Take the highest 3 they mean

If I wanted to use the Battle Sorcerer variant from Unearthed Arcana can I apply that to PF Sorcerer? What it does is reduce spells known and spells per day. So its kinda like an Archetype in that regard.

Damn and now I am torn

If everyone is picking Beatsticks we might have to look into gestalt since peoples primary designs for the tomb raiders are beatsticks.

I always liked a Unchained Monk//Sorcerer (Empyreal)

I might use the Unchained Rogue version if we need a Skill guy, and an assassin who slips out of the sand with his wicked curved blades.

I do have trap finding at least.

They are in the link, down the page is a section for traits and flaws. 4th page

I thought about doing Khan as a Unchained Rogue

And this is why mine will be hiding underground....away from the gutter.

I sent you a PM GM

If you take the drawback you can get both Chosen One and Rich Parents for a total of 1800 starting gold.

I just mean... use that artwork. not the stuff on Google...

What is funny is there is a Lion-Centaur race in 3.5
Wemic (Races of Faerun pg 149)
