The first man's choking and spurting starts the rhythm of the dance. The three unharmed gentlemen are taken aback a second or two, but three to one odds encourage them.

This courage misled them. As they attacked, the blonde one went down almost immediately, a throat cut in a lightning strike. The other two had no chance to change their inertia and found themselves run through.

The second target was still missing an arm and on the ground. "We ...we were just having fun! She was asking for it! I'll ...I'll pay you! I'll do anything! I'll say--"

"You'll whistle." and with that, a machete chop cuts some rather important bits in the human neck.

When the security finds the scene there is a note. "These rapers didn't enjoy my penetration. Alas!

Wasnt sure how much reins I was given so I kept that kinda vague. If you want to run a combat I can do that or wrap it up narratively and assume these were just evil 1st level npcs worth no xp.

As the man they call Carnifex slinks in alleys and rooftops he is at first somewhat frustrated at the lack of crime. Which is not to say there wasn't any crime, just none that he cared about. Oh, sure, there were pickpockets aplenty, but these were poor folk robbing from rich folk. The Carnifex knows how rich people become rich and sees nothing wrong with stealing back from them.

He heard a muffled yelp and immediately felt guilty over his frustration. It would be a better world that didn't need his blades to do their work. But it isn't a better world, so he bounds off to the source of the sound. What he finds is all-too-familiar.

One of the great attractions of fairs like these was that it was a rare place where the common and the Persons of Quality could both enjoy together, in a shared space. But history has shown again and again that most times when these two groups meet, it is the common that suffers most.

In a darkened corner away from any main attractions a group of well-dressed gentlemen have surrounded a young woman, beautiful in the ways their inbred wives could never manage. Likely a barwench coming off her shift which included too many groping hands already. It was apparent she had kicked one of them right where he deserved it, but two others hold her tight.

Before they could restart their taunts he was upon them. the fellow on the right seemed to grow a thin silver tongue out of his mouth, though it disappeared before he could scream in pain. The other man jumped in surprise and stumbled back, though without the arm that had held the woman. From the dark a white, wrong, empty face appears, flicking blood off both rapier and machete.

A wheezy, cracked voice comes from the blank face. "Ma'am, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to cut in here ...you run along home while the boys and I dance. Hhhhhhhh."

The Carnifex goes to the miners, pointedly ignoring the dead dragon. "This dragon was a minor inconvenience. If any man commits crimes against you, let it be known the Carnifex will cut through him like butter."

Did Lucius know about the dragon before coming? Could I roll for his cohort/advisor? If not, no problem. Also, about the fire, to me, at least, I would think "dragons breathe fire" is common knowledge and knowledge checks would give more accurate info. Like, "Well, ACTually, blue dragons do this and green dragons etc etc etc." Of course it's up to you, boss. Just my two copper pieces.

The world is on the brink of going boom boom. This is our darkest hour. The eternal night doesn't help either. It is a time for heros to arise.

You find yourselves on the ship over to the land shrouded in darkness. The captain will be leaving the moment you depart, so the instant you get ashore, he's gone. According the captain, the land has been in shadows ever since the Handsome Sorcerer set up in the old castle north of the city of Flamerock Refuge.

It is unlikely that alliances are forged on a road and a mischance of meeting, but this one did. You can recall heading down a long and winding road through some mountains to a small town known as Duvik's Pass. The town itself is very small, but home to one of the richest silver minds in the world. Recently, however, the silver has stopped coming in and tales of an outbreak spread through taverns.

The Gods must have had a hand in your meeting.

This is the part where you put an intro for your character. This will be the only post that I do that is a copy paste from Nameless GM's game

Years after Diablo was defeated by the Nefelem once again in the heavens the world seemed at peace again. However that is about to change. A Necromancer that learned of the history was able to create a soul stone and embune it with the power of Diablo. He then planted it in himself creating the evil of Diablo again. The town of Tristrum which was all but back to normal has been plunged into evil again this time even more powerful and diabolical than the last time. Can the hero's save the town, or will they fail and the world fall to Diablos Evil?

Ok then, this is pretty simple, I am allowing all base classes, with the exception of the gunslinger or any archtype that allows guns.

You are starting at Level 1, a 25 point build. There will be the addition of Scrolls of Town portal which will teleport you back to town but can only be used outside of combat. Wands can have a total of 25 charges and staffs can have 50. The staffs can have any offensive spell.

I would like a backstory along with your character sheet by next Saturday so as to start this. Starting gold is 1000 gold. If you have any questions feel free to ask them here.

Edit: Races!!! You can ONLY and I mean ONLY be a human, however if you are to be another race it must be classifed in your character info as Human (elf) and so on. There are no other races sorry.

The town of Tristram has been suffering from the current demon infestation that not many know the reason for. The demons have at least stopped entering town at this point and instead are focusing on desecration what is left of the once sacred place. There has been calls for help from the town however none want to approach it for fear of it spearing into their own. The Tavern owner Ogden, The blacksmith Griswold, Peppin the Healer, A local barmaid Gillian, and the old Prophet Cain stay to the center of town were it is safest. On the outskirts of town over the river Lives Adria the witch who seems unbothered by everything that has been going on. Sitting near the edge of town is the local drunk Farnham constantly babbling on and on about some butcher that killed everyone, There is also Wirt a boy with a pegged leg that often approaches anyone in an attempt to swindle them out of their money selling overpriced goods that one can find elsewhere for better. This small broken town is the site that greets all of you when you enter.

Before we get started with the questing and such you guys can RP how you all meet then go about talking with the towns folks about aiding them and what they know.

Alrihty, This is pretty much a PBP of the original Diablo game in pathfinder form. I am looking for 4-6 players that are willing to play and post at least once a day. I have seen plenty of games die from not dedicated players in the past.

You are starting off at level 3, a 20 point build.

All the classes are allowed with the exception of the gunslinger since guns do not exists. Any race can be used however they are skinned as human since Humans are all that exists with the exceptions of the demons.

NOTE: UMD is going to be a class skill for everyone in the game due to the heavy use of scrolls.

Two traits max and a starting gold amount of 3000 Gold. And no evil alignment. If you worship a deity let me know the name as I am working on renaming all of them to match the universe.

Knowledge of Diablo lore is not needed as there is always Wikipedia to help with that.

There are two kinds of magical weapons in armor in this game, the kind that you would normally find in chests and such, and then also unique items that are given from bosses and from performing quests. Those you can not identify no matter how hard you try. Those you take to Dekard Cain in town and he does it for free.

Weapons degenerate over time and will need repair there are two ways of doing this, you can simply use mend or take it to the local blacksmith. Taking it to the local blacksmith costs a small fee but it is more beneficial because there is a small chance that he will make it better then before. Mend on the other hand will make the weapon weaker then it originally was and after several uses of men, the weapon will become fragile. If not taken to the blacksmith, it will break on a nat 1 and armor will break on a confirmed critical hit.

Magical items
The magical items consist of two kinds of potions, scrolls and Staffs. The staffs will take place of a wand.

The potions are healing potions, and then Resotre magical potions(much like a pearl of power.)

There is cure light potions and cure mod for recovery
The Magical ones are Simple magic [ 1d4 level 1 spells returned] and Advanced [1d4 level 1 and 1d4 of any other level spells]

The cost is 50 for the simple ones and 150 for the advanced ones.

The scrolls avalaiavle to purchase are Town portal [allows the party to return to town] and cure light wounds. In the dungeon on the other hand you can find scrolls with attack and aid spells on hand.

The staffs that are available in town is cure light wounds, light, and fire bolt. These are rechargeable by the local witch for a small fee of 100 gold for 25 charges, 150 for 50.

Post your character concept that you are thinking, and get an alias up ASAP with a backstory. If I need to pick I will but I hope not to.
