The elf stammers a bit, one hand moving to the pouch at his waist to touch soft white rabbit ears that poke out from underneath the flap. "Oh, well, very well, yes, I shall get right on that, ma'am!"

I am fine with not receiving a chronicle, or issuing chronicles for what we completed. Thank you for the effort and I am sorry it did not work out.

Like I said before, I'm okay with calling a mulligan on the whole thing and writing the table off as not counting.

"Enough of this, mayor!" Tanithil slams his hands on the table and rises. "What would you have of us? I have done my best to honor your festival, but it is too far beyond my practices. For that, and my dwarven companion's boorishness, I apologize. Are we to be cast out as poor guests, or may we get on with our investigation?" The soft ears hanging from his belt pouch twitch with each angered punctuation.

Tanithil turns his head to not be seen retching.

Tanithil inspects the corpse of the pig fungus for any clues. "Do we know who owned this pig?"

Tanithil breaks out into applause as Remy fells the beast. "Excellent work, my fellows. I concur with the dwarf, some conjurer has it out for this festival!"

"Back to the hells from whence you came!" Tanithil shouts, his voice impossibly loud for the fiend alone.

The elf waves his hand to Hskoro, enacting a ward against the beasts attack. "It appears resistant to my magiks!" he calls.

Ward on Hskoro for +2 AC/Saves until he is hit.

"If you've cold iron, now is the time to use it!"

"A qlippoth! Something very wrong!" the elf exclaims, making a sign against evil. He searches his memory for any weapons particularly effective against the beast.

Evil Eye to reduce its AC, checking for any DR the melee need to overcome.

Implying that the last month of posts has been unimportant, which is probably the issue Remy is having.

"Thror, perhaps this pig is disguised evi-" Tanithil begins to suggest the dwarf engage, jumping slightly at Hskoro's sudden movement. "Ah, nevermind. He has the right of it."

Tanithil attempts to hide his relief as he walks away from the ravens. Very poorly.

Quick, someone set something on fire so the paladin can accuse people!

"Yes, well done." Tanithil congratulates the bird, snapping his fingers.

The elf makes a gesture at Grizzle, sniffing derisively.

Hexing the enemy raven with Evil Eye for -2 to attack. (DC15 Will reduces it to 1 round.)

"Then I pick Clawfoot." Tanithil sounds resigned and indifferent.

Thin fingers stroke the soft ears flopped out of the pouch at his waist. "And once again we delve deep."

"Quite impressive skill yourself, Mister LeBeau." Tanithil offers. "I have gravitated to the lessons of Masters Zey and Shaine more than others."

The elf looks at the distant targets, then to the starknife in hand. "Ludicrous." he sighs, chucking the blade overhand with little conviction.

One brow raises slightly. "What, again? Well, hardly worth quibbling over."

"Well, this is a much kinder ceremony than the previous one!" Leaning over the proffered weaponry, he inspects each briefly. Then, he plucks one knife from the selection. "I am not practiced, but when in Taldor..."

"Sometimes one must flow with the current, lest the river dash you against the rocks." Tanithil observes as he examines his breeches for singe marks.

Tanithil dutifully lines up along with the rest of the attendees.

Gangly legs flailing, he tries not to cry out in alarm as the flames lick close.

Seeing little to stimulate his academic interest, Tanithil stands with Hskoro. "Perhaps there is a table we might congregate at?"

"We are in agreement. Wonderful!" The elf clasped his hands together sharply in excitement. "That is, if the mayor is agreeable?"

One hand cups the smooth skin of his chin as the elf contemplates the accusations. Did he even do anything there, or is it mere braggadocio? The thought was both wry and despondent.

"All possible theories, but we will find ourselves getting nowhere without evidence to corroborate them. Shall we enjoy the festival and then begin examining the roads for signs of where Elias went?"

"...Elias Kyle, friend Thror." Tanithil supplies. "Please understand, Mayor Kreigler and Master Kreigler, we are here to investigate Elias' whereabouts as well as the late taxes. We do not wish to cause you trouble, but the easiest way to accomplish this task does involve your cooperation. We will be happy to partake of your festival in good fellowship and harmony."

Slow to follow behind, Tanithil glances at Hskoro. "One wonders if he ever tires of shouting." he murmurs, before moving to look over his companions head into the room, finding the dwarfs statue well suited for such actions.

"Yes, the mayor must know the details of this situation. Obvious, in hindsight."

"...thank you. I know exactly as much as I did before. Perhaps we will learn more at the festival this afternoon. Shall we go, fellows?"

"I must admit, my studies are in realms secular. Might we hear more of this dream tender?"

"I would love to attend a festival, especially if we can learn about the history of your town while we feast! A good meal greatly improves the mind's acuity after all, while the digestion is good accompaniment to the storytelling."

"The man said one silver for humanoids, and we are all humanoids, yes? Let us pay the man and be off!"

"The shack is not our goal, yes? Unless you think perhaps our missing brother has been eaten by the water wolf?"

"Well, it is not so much that we choose to avoid it as that we had no idea it even existed, so we were just coming to you as the obvious method of transportation across the river, not having the higher tier of magic required to cross ourselves, you see." Tanithil pauses a moment, before smiling. "And yes, I would greatly love to hear what this waterwolf is as well."

"Agreed! Thank you for your guidance, Viorec."

"Tanithil Narberel, scholar."

"Would you show us the way in, young man?" Tanithil suggests, before gesturing at the flying beast. "As apology, I could heal Applesauce of those wounds."

"Then call him off!" Tanithil hollers back. "Else we must defend ourselves!"

I believe he will update our positions based on our actions. The alphanumeric characters on the border are for us to identify the squares we are moving to.
