As the runner runs off, without even a "thank you", you see the letter is addressed to you by Head Initiate Janira Gavix.
Opening it, you find an invitation, with fine penmanship, on beautiful, thick, creamy paper.

You have all been working together for over a week, thus have gotten to know a bit about one another.

All this time you have been in the city of Hajoth Hakados in Numeria assisting
Venture-Captain Dagur Hawksight, a female human, with preparing the Pathfinder lodge to receive an important guest: Kevoth-Kul.

Kevoth-Kul is actually Numeria’s ruler, also named the Black Sovereign.

Dagur has arranged for Hajoth Hakados’s leader, Lady Altouna, a female lashunta to participate in the event.

Preparations have been going well up until this point, and Kevoth-Kul is expected to arrive the following morning.

Please get to know one another as you carry out the important tasks--

--of making the silverware shine, boiling the eggs just right, sweeping the dining room floor...

King in Thorns slideshow!

The members of the glorious Pathfinder Society that you are, maybe even glorious members yourselves?-- are in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.
You have just docked on the large Rimeflow River, having come in from the sea to the west, and up the estuary, on board the Wandering Hearth.
But, no, you do not dock in the biggest city, Karlsgard, but just across-river, in the small town-district of Iceferry.
There are actually more Ulfen here today than usual, amongst the usual Gnome population.
There are a lot of people actually, something must be going on.

Eynilla Vriggdahl, the a middle-aged Ulfen woman-captain of the Wandering Hearth, kindly bids you farewell: "Off my boat now, now time to waste with you scraggly lot!"

And so you are off, through the town, to report to Venture-captain Bjersig Torrsen.

The nicely carved wooden-door the fine Ulfen lodge is opened by--
--a pale-blue skinned Goblin, with eyes as clear as ice water.

"You again? You come already. No need come again."

And the door slams closed in your face.

IC introductions may start here

You are all members of the glorious Pathfinder Society, maybe even glorious members yourselves?

Having each, separately, received a beautiful invitation for a trip South, from wherever you were, you traveled to a harbor city and boarded Venture-captain Calisro Benarry's ship, the Glorious Payoff.

You were so very excited: a boat cruise to discover the beautiful lagoons of the South, with dark and dusky fair-haired Garundi men and women to serve you, and maybe have nude moments in the ocean waves on the beach under the midnight moon!
A great vacation!

But, your hopes are dashed to the ground, like a sandcastle come high tide.
For, upon arriving on the boat, you learn you are instead headed for a mission in the Shackles.
Nothing good ever happens in the Shackles.
This vacation does not seem like one at all.

Well, you are stuck together for at least a few days of traveling before arriving to whatever bad situation it will most probably be...

You may introduce yourself IC here.

You are all members of the glorious Pathfinder Society, maybe even glorious members yourselves?

Having each, separately, received a beautiful invitation for a trip North, from wherever you were, you traveled to the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.

You were so very excited: a boat cruise to discover the fjords, with tall fair-haired Ulfen men and women to serve you, and maybe have nude moments in the bubbling hot springs under the midnight sun!
A great vacation!

But, your hopes are dashed to the ground, like a fine icicle come springtime.
For, upon arriving in the biggest city, Karlsgard, you are not sent off to the coast in a bundle of fine furs.
Instead, you are told to go the northern district of the city, across the Rimeflow River, to Iceferry.
Where you must--
--report to the local Venture-captain of all things?

This vacation does not seem like one at all.

So, maybe you are not in the best of spirits as you move slowly down the iced-over streets, careful not to slip, as scores of Gnomes move around town.

There it is, the lodge.
This is where you are to meet by Venture-captain Bjersig Torrsen.
And the door is opened by--
--a pale-blue skinned Goblin, with eyes as clear as ice water.

"Whaddya you be wanting?"

But he waves you inside, where it warm at least.

You may introduce yourself IC here.

Welcome to the game!

Here we can start by discussing the party you will be creating.

Have a look at the Gameplay thread (and dot and DELETE if you wish, but do not post there yet).
This will tell you where the action starts.

You will be four players, and I will be your GM.
I will most probably be able to post several times per day regularly, but will post once every day for sure (early in the morning in European time).

This is a game in which you will be playing from levels 1 to 3 (and getting 12 XP of credit, thus one level in PFS).
I will be using the basic PFS rules (150 sp to start with), but since it is a campaign, I will see if we adapt things now and then, but in general I'll stick by default to PFS-style rules.

But you need not be Pathfinders, and there will be no Swords etc. training.

I think it's nice if you start by giving your character ideas so that you can organize and "meta" a bit to cover all skills, and not have two with the same Lores if you wish to diversify etc..

Feel free to PM me with what might be discreet questions.

I would like to be able to PM you during this campaign, for example with results of secret rolls etc., and sometimes avoid spoilers, so tell me if this is okay (and you'll keep an eye on the red dot up above, beside the MY ACCOUNT).

I have no problem with any kind of character.
But please do try and have someone who will be able to somehow function in a group for a relatively long time (ie. a psycopathic Chaotic Evil serial-killer would not be the best fit) so that we can all enjoy the game.

So, start telling me what you want to play. Or PM me.
See with your comrades to be how to change things around.
RP-wise I am open to many things, and you can be friends with the dwarven caravan master, can have worked with him, can be a paid traveler being transported towards some destination, hired as a mule driver for this journey, a Halfling slave fleeing Cheliax...

Let us enjoy this, I hope.

As you set off to conquer the dragon, you think to yourself: "Never trust dragon".

Grand Lodge

Welcome to 1-19 To Conquer the Dragon written by Matt Duval
Scenario Tags: Starship - Levels 5-8
After much negotiating, the Starfinder Society has reached an accord to work with leaders of the Drakelands and Skyfire Mandate on the world of Triaxus. To commemorate this historic achievement, the Society intends to open a new lodge in the settlement of Cumo. However, a recent enemy intends to disrupt the event, and only the PCs stand between this hidden threat and the Society's newest endeavor.

Content in To Conquer the Dragon builds on story elements established in Starfinder Society #1–13: On the Trail of History, however, playing that previous scenario is not required.

Interest check

I wished to see if anyone would be interested in playing Chariot of the Gods, the preview scenario for Alien RPG, released this week-end by Free League.

It is a Cinematic Play scenario.
Cinematic Play emulates the dramatic arc of an ALIEN film.
Designed to be played in a single session, this game mode emphasizes high stakes and fast and brutal play.
Conflict between player characters is likely, and you are not all expected to survive.
In fact, most of your PCs probably won’t live to see the end of the scenario.

Chariot of the Gods is a pre-generated scenario that provides all the tools necessary to run your first ALIEN roleplaying game, and it’s a fun and easy way to learn how to play and tell your own stories on the Frontier.

I would be the GM... the Game Mother.

"What's the story, Mother?"
________________________________________________________
The story is that...
You are space truckers on the starfreighter USCSS Montero, running “the Gauntlet”— the trade route between Anchorpoint Station and the Frontier. Your ship’s cargo hold is packed with dozens of tanks
of the rare gas Helium-3.
Usually cargoes such as these are towed in massive tanker modules that transport much higher concentrations of the gas a safe distance from a freight hauler.
The Montero isn’t rated as a commercial towing vehicle, however, and this small run is a special order for a Weyland-Yutani corporate account on Sutter’s World—a newly established Frontier colony.
While the trip so far has been fairly routine, the Montero’s sensors developed a glitch before you left Anchorpoint and sporadically pinged contact with a sensor reflection before you activated the dis- placement drive and went FTL.
Your cargo run so far has been without incident.
Now, you are just awakening from hypersleep, ready to deliver your goods to the colony of Sutter’s World.

This is where the IC (In Character) posting will happen.
Please describe your actions, and do not just roll your dice: make it enjoyable (and fun) for all to read!
Put some info in your attack rolls (what you know will make the GMs life easier), like:

Gun vs KAC: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Fire damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
(so I know what you are targeting: KAC or EAC ; what type of damage it is - Slash, Fire, Acid, Pierce...)
Or things like your DCs:

Mind Thrust DC 13 Will: 2d10 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6

Scenario Tags: Faction (Dataphiles), Faction (Exo-Guardians) - Levels 3-6

It's finally here; the sugar-pop band sensation, Strawberry Machine Cake, is starting its Pact Worlds tour. Thanks to the Exo-Guardians' leader, Zigvigix, the PCs and Historia-7 have tickets to attend the holo-concert event of the year. As Zigvigix hopes to celebrate and mourn friends lost in the Scoured Stars, Historia-7 enlists the PCs to track down an attendee associated with a conspiracy against the Society. When a stunning revelation endangers the concert, it falls to the PCs to step in and save one of the most hotly anticipated concerts in Pact Worlds history.

Content in Star Sugar Heartlove!!! also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Dataphiles and Exo-Guardians faction.

Scenario Tags: Repeatable & Starship - Levels 1-4
When a major Pact Worlds organization approaches the Starfinder Society about investigating an abandoned outpost in Near Space, the PCs get assigned to the case. Travelling to a distant world, surmounting dangerous threats in the void of space, and meeting new alien cultures—this mission is about everything the Starfinder Society embodies.

Ashes of Discovery is a replayable scenario designed to help introduce players to what it's like to be a member of the Starfinder Society. With randomized mechanical and story elements, when you play this scenario, you'll never play the same scenario twice.

Welcome to 1-24 Siege of Enlightenment written by Tineke Bolleman
Scenario Tags: Starship - Levels 1-4
With tensions rising between two Near Space civilizations, the hosts of historical sites are at risk of being caught in the ensuing conflict's crossfire. The Starfinder Society's been called in to catalogue one such site, believed to be the ruins of a now-defunct hobgoblin empire that may have ended during the Gap. Speeding into the distant star system, the PCs must navigate the politics of the escalating conflict and reach their target.
