Well. I am at last on the point of (maybe) selling all my SF stuff.... being OV in English it is difficult to sell in France...
And l know now that l won't come back... even if l get the minis (but let's be honest, that won't happen, stop hoping)...
But above all, all this stufff made me look anew to Sf... and I don't want to play space rats exploring the heart of a sun (what scientific nonsense... the heart of a sun...) anymore.... being a scientist l will rather play a game more science abiding... that is science fantasy and l don't know how it is superior to plain fantasy with for instance spelljammer vessels and plane travel...
For science fiction l will stick to other games l KS recently like Infinity, Valerian or maybe Tales from the loop...(which l will be buying once l sell my starfinder)...
That's a 500$ loss but it also opened my eyes...
Ps: l must look more closely to numenera also but l fear that it also suffer from the science Fantasy perspective (like SF l have impulsively bought too many numenera books)

You can also try to feed (again) the ogre Chris Birkenhagen on KS... The new miniatures by Titan Forge are wonderful...
But sadly, as you can imagine, that will be without me...

Well ok for the badly misplaced logo.. you did not check correctly... or it was legit... or you get conned by ND (surprise)... that does not matter...
We all know that the only way things will surely sort out is to have someone (a bank, another company... an investor...) invests in ND ... bringing fresh money in exchange for a partial or total takeover of the company (hoping to make it profitable)... for this the 2 current owners of ND must agree (l have my doubt even about this)... and most importantly you have to find a risk taker...
Everything else is (at least partial) b%!@!#!!...
That said l can understand Paizo current actions...
I even enjoy my previously bought PF scenarii ( l still have around ten adventures path to complete) with my gaming group (rise of the rune lord is a lot of fun... owned for year before playing it)... even if that's my last bought from Paizo...

Holly s*#&!
I appreciated Mr Mona seeming honesty... We were seduced by the good looking mini... well we were all seduced... if not we won't be here... the real question is why did Paizo let ND put the Paizo logo in The Who were are section of the Kickstarter... letting people believe that it was a joint venture... and now decline any responsibilities and knowing that nothing will come out ... license the mini to another maker... l was losing hope ... but never did l believed that l(We) would be ...(choose your own word)... that hard!

Anyway it seems that 1st April is a good date to put an end to this nonsense...

As my post has been erased...
Just a small post to say that I have been contacted by Kai Nesbit and that he offered to either reimburse or send me the missing HellDorado miniatures... I do not know how it will end but he seemed to be a nice guy... (I hope that I will get the minis...)

It is not a threat to say that if the 2500 people that backed this kickstarter (OK only 26 in France), stop buying Paizo Starfinder and sell what they already own ... they are losing between 2500 and 5000 customers (the second hand buyer won't buy) ... If everybody spend 100$ on average per year (as far as I have been concerned this was nothing for a long time then much more lately but mostly for PathFinder...this is what I have spend on Starfinder however)... this could cost them let's say around 500 000$ a year which is a small amount in front of Paizo Annual Revenue but will lessen very much their overall benefit...
I think it is not an easy decision that they have to take...

Well ... I think that it is a good thing that they finally communicate to us backers...
But it also seems that... We are stuck... in a deadend...
The only exit would be someone investing in ND (buying it out?...)... that won't be new backers I guess... maybe a business Angel from Dragon's Den? (cf. Drake & Benjamin Mc Donald refusing to lose 40% of its company for the 300 000$ that would have allowed us to get our mini... Please Benjamin McDonald, stay out of the business...)
But with all theses Ponzi KickStarter... the price of the Ticket is high (even if they sell the company for 1$)...
That would be a very risky and bold move I imagine for Paizo to buy the ticket... However StarFinder is now their flagship (I had so many thing to buy in the future and now I am only selling what I already bought)... I understand that they take their time and hesitate...
So we are stuck...

I dunno about you, but it makes me angry.

Well in my sentence... there was almost... l still not think it is encouraging... and when l said talking... l meant like in still alive and talking (to their Buddies)

For me it's still an interesting news... l let you feel how you want about this ...
I think the situation is dire enough not to let us be too emotional... l still think that there is not much money to make when you are producing mini and you're not Games Workshop... it is easy for these small companies to make a bad business decision... l also think that while failure is a possibility, repeated failures (l am looking at you Kai Nesbit) should be denounced... This work is definitely not for everyone (for instance Benjamin Mc Donald from Drake stopped after another Drake Ponzi Kickstarter and turned to a regular job... though l lost some money, l can deal with it...) but seeing the same guy doing the same mistake again and again is... disturbing... ( and costly)... the hidden identity behind different companies is frightening also... and is ruling me out of the crowdfunding activity....

Thanks Technarken ... that's seem almost encouraging... (at least they seem to be talking...)

Well my four starfinder books
Core rulebook
Alien archive
Pact world
Gm screen
Are now on sale for 80€ Shipping included on several Facebook marketplace...
Let's see if it works...
But l will find every way to get myself reimbursed... let's say that's a start...

@burro crat: thank you for checking... it is still hard for me to understand if ND still exists ... according to the Idaho statesmen they still seem in activity... but l still think that they have stopped renting their warehouse...
Also where did you get the info about Jasco games?... l hope that it will not jeopardize Street Fighters miniature game KS... ( yes l WAS a KS superbacker... never again...)
...
Feeling a bit depressed...
PS: more so by John Cadice .... making fun of its backers on Facebook... l am pretty sure all these people are not even really aware of their failures and that they have turned to con-men (would l be if l were in their stead?).... by the way John... sugar is poison...

Found on the internet:

Christopher Birkenhagen
Director of Sales at Ninja Division Publishing LLC
Location:
5311 N. Glenwood St., Garden City, Idaho, United States
Company:
Ninja Division Publishing LLC
HQ Phone:
(208) 286-4135

Then googled using google map... This is now...

Industrial Storage Systems Inc
5311 N Glenwood St, Boise, ID 83714, États-Unis
MP39+FM Garden City, Idaho, États-Unis
iss-solutions.com
+1 208-376-1111

If this is true, now you can understand what hope there is left of getting anything...

So my question is now: DOES NINJA DIVISION STILL EXIST, OR IS PAIZO MAKING FOOL OF OURSELVES? ... for instance by hiding these very truth ...

PS: I will try to call these numbers but it may be easier for US backers...

I think the real question is Is there someone alive in ND office to answer questions?
Are ND employees willing to work for nothing?
I think the only people involved now are the five partners and I am pretty sure that they are either working elsewhere as Kai Nesbit to "ensure" a living or are profiting from their ill-gotten goods (but I rather think they are incompetent than real crooks... what l am pretty sure also is that they paid wages first...)
So my real question is why really did Paizo support them?
Is there anything related to the Pathfinder dice game abort ? Did Paizo owe them something after this decision? Were they friends?...(which businesswise would be bad but l could begin to understand and forgive Paizo)
I guess Sara Marie will never answer to these questions however....

After some web inquiries...

Kai Nesbitt is now President of Shinobi 7...
Among their products is a Kickstarter for:
Sonic the Hedgehog: Battle Racers
Which should be delivered now and is ... guess what...delayed...

This guy has been responsible for failures of HellDorado (directly), BattleTech (involved), Super Dungeon Explore (as one of ND owners), Relic Knight 2 (ND owner), StarFinder (ND owner)...and has changed/hidden its KS identity so many times...
And when contacted KS say: there is nothing illegal...

I am done with Starfinder* and my lost money but what I expect from Paizo is to put a legal end to this nonsense...
Sue them ... make them stop ... they are endangering the (and your) business: they must be put out of it...

Or else... there is a forthcoming KS for ... guess what, a Conan miniature game! ... as they got the IP...
That's amazing!... they seem to ignore that this IP is now free (you can get all Howard's book for free in epub for instance)... and that is why there has been so many Conan Things lately...
Among which a Conan KS miniature game by Monolith which is, from sculpt to gameplay...awesome!... (and has been delivered)
But if nobody does anything, some will pledge for this Idaho's next awesome... ???I do not what exactly... dead cow??? Airbreeze?...

*: I am still playing Pathfinder and I love it and will buy translations of PF campaigns (Taldor's one looks so great), but I may shift to 5e instead of PF 2nd ed. if I want simplification... so please, Paizo, don't disappoint us!

For me, the question is now: when to sell my Starfinder stuff?
Without communication, hope is small and for me this KS is generating more frustration than anything which, I know from past KS failure, will make playing the game very difficult (and I have a lot of other SyFy RPG to test: Infinity, Numenera... I may even buy Mega 5?)
Unfortunately, the main things is that French Starfinder translation is in the store now and I am not sure that I will sell the English version very well... I think this is what is making me keep them...
On the opposite I may find now buyers that have not been too disappointed by this KS... before the word spread out...

You should be able to find it using this path: Community / Forums / Starfinder / Third-Party Starfinder Products. It looks like you can also find it by googling "paizo.com ninja division" and once on paizo.com, sorting results for the messageboards.

Thanks Sara Marie...

It is strange however, on some browsers, it does not work...

I agree with Kroothawk... that made me less perceptive to the fact I was not buying from Paizo and less inquisitive about ND's background (I also erroneously believed that they successfully led the first Relic Knight Kickstarter ... whereas it was really CMON the producer/company in charge...)
Had I know they were involved in Battletech and Helldorado...

Sure
Anima tactics,
Helldorado,
Relic knight,
...and maybe StarFinder...
are great games (for the last one I was waiting for the mini before reading the books I already own...)

What happened to the other thread...
https://paizo.com/threads/rzs2umu4&page=8?Miniatures-Kickstarter-Ninja- Division?
It is now invisible to the outside...

Hi

After some internet research (that I should have done before...), the five owners of Ninja Division are
Deke Stella, John Cardice and Chris Birkenhagen (from SodaPop Miniature)
Kai Nesbit and David Freeman (from Cypher studio)
Had I known that before, I would never have pledged: Kai Nesbit has been launching several kickstarters among which a rebirth of Helldorado miniature game: of my 250$ of miniatures, I have only received the rulebook!! and Kai Nesbit never answered to any of my email after that!!!
That this guy associates himself with Robotech Failure guys without anybody noticing (myself included) is beyond my grasp...
However after reading the beginning of this thread and seeing all the warning that have been ignored by Paizo, I see that some at least have been more insightful...
It is strange therefore: I feel both guilty and victim!
Anyway, playing Starfinder will be very difficult from now on...
Sincerely

Hi

I am a French all in (super)backer... l went all in in the backerkit...
Well l , like many , feel cheated here... if l knew ninja division was at the origin of battle tech fiasco , l would never have backed neither went all in.... That is my confidence in Paizo that made me back...
l really think that Paizo is also a victim here and l would not like all this to go too far as l really like their products .... but having a 500$ hole in my bank account will sadly chill me a lot from any further investment ...
:(
I seriously hope things will sort out
SombreroDeLaNuit

Ps: if rumors are true about Ninja Division s Ponzi scheme , l seriously hope that American backers can organize and sue them... l think honestly that they should think about what they did for a short time... in jail.... No hope that overseas backers can do anything.... we are not citizen of the empire... ( and from now on l will stop backing non European projects)
