Fun fact about sending a secret message via Bluff. As long as the bluffer beats either of the two set DCs(15 for simple and 20 for complex messages), the person receiving the message automatically understands. If the message wasn't specifically for Hamza, Rokan might not need a sense motive check.
Aye, this is clearly a complex message, and the bluff is against the enemies. The main impediment at the moment is that it was a whisper. The rest of the party is probably accustomed to Cae's peculiar way of saying things.
And will there be a max template level? As in, once you have +X CR in templates, you must choose a different option? Levels and mythic tiers already have a max built-in (20 & 10), so I wonder.
"It is precisely for such motley groups that such things are required to unite them. Had you known me since birth and trusted me as a bosom friend, would you need an oath?"
"It seems to be a most peculiar view,
That there is nothing between the two,
Lifelong friend or total stranger.
But I believe there is great danger,
In trusting one who offers smiles,
But secretly is one who defiles.
Who might ask for such a harsh pact
But one hiding dark secrets in fact?"
Cae gives Slavathras a significant look.

"...And secondly, are any of you slavers or slave-owners? For it is on my undying hatred of them I will swear, and no matter what Basalm's spirit will do to me afterwards, I mean to ensure that all such men die screaming."
"You end the lives of those who own slaves,
Such is the Mistress I seek in these caves.
To be owned by her fills me with pride,
And I intend to soon be by her side.
How might I fulfill the oath proposed,
When we are doomed to be opposed?
Unless before I make such a vow,
You think I should end your quest now?"
Despite the musical tone to his voice, Cae presents his questions without an excess of emotion.
As soon as it appears, the scaled one's avatar launches itself into the air and at the tentacled creature. In a brutal display of savagery, "Arc" tears into the creature with tooth and claw and finally, slamming it with his wings.
What knowledge check is relevant, if any?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Actions:
Start: Tension +2
Free(0 AP): Spend 1 MP to Speed Surge (Ex): As a free action, you can expend one use of your mythic power to take an additional move action
Move(0 AP): Fly to enemy (Tension +1 = 3)
Free(0 AP): Critical Knuckle: The striker increases the critical threat range of her unarmed strikes by 1(7 rounds)(Tension-2=1)
All natural attacks(3 AP)(Tension +2 = 3)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Dice:
Intimidate(Demoralize Opponent): You can use this skill to cause an opponent to become shaken for a number of rounds. The DC of this check is equal to 10 + the target’s Hit Dice + the target’s Wisdom modifier. Success: If you are successful, the target is shaken for one round. This duration increases by 1 round for every 5 by which you beat the DC.
Frightful: You may escalate the effect of fear effects when you use the Intimidate skill to demoralize by increasing the demoralize DC. You may make a shaken creature frightened by increasing the DC by +10 and a frightened creature panicked by increasing the DC by +20. You must choose to apply this DC increase prior to making the check.
Fear’s Herald: At 4th level, the fright wright’s mastery of panic and terror can begin to erode away even the fiercest resolve. All enemies within 10 ft. of the fright wright take a -4 penalty on saving throws against fear effects. Creatures normally immune to fear lose that immunity while within 10 ft. of the fright wright. A creature maintains their immunity to fear effects if they have 4 more Hit Dice than the fright wright has class levels.
Power Attack (-2/+4)
Stoneskin(100 min): DR 10/-
Heroism(60 min): +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks
Pro-black(6 min): +2 saves & +2 AC versus black

Critical Knuckle(6 rounds): increases the critical threat range of unarmed strikes by 1
Displacement(5 rounds): 50% concealment
Touch of Joy(1 round): roll a d20, roll twice and take the more favorable result
On that note, I have a query for people more familiar with 3pp than I am. First of all, should I be using SoM and if so, why? Second, does anyone have any recommendations for material for me to look over to create a wire fighting Kung fu master?
Spheres of Might is a solid yes. It has both versatility and customization. Because most abilities rely on the attack action over iterative attacks, mobility is greater. Certain spheres even give free skill points.
For a monk-type, consider the Striker. With Unarmored Training, you can have a really high AC. The Open Hand sphere is also a good place to start for spheres.
The giant looked a bit disappointed, but didn't do whatever he had planned with the rock. Instead he just waited to follow Cae's lead on what to do next.
Not wanting Raxus' fun to be completely foiled, Cae quietly suggests to the giant, "What about rolling that huge rock in front of the infernal machine to stop it from advancing?"
Sorry, was very tired, but wanted to put something out. Amending...
Not wanting Raxus' fun to be completely foiled, Cae quietly suggests to the giant:
"Its advance you might block
By using your large rock.
If you roll it in front
Then no need to confront."
Cae's green eyes flash towards Slavathras in the moonlight and his posture stiffens slightly. His voice has a rougher tone to it in his response:
"Neither civility nor grace from the Son of the Snake,
Your desire to be entertained, not my duty to slake.
Into the circle, the one seeking two the Mother did invite,
Insults and threats are not the same as a bite."
He smiles at the self-proclaimed bard, revealing extended canines. He then turns back to the Dreadseer, dismissing Slavathras.
The first couple of days are really difficult for Trystt. Once the adrenaline wears off and the exhaustion sets in, her mind becomes foggy. It's as if the thoughts are in her head, but she can't connect the dots and verbalize anything. The whole situation exacerbates her moodiness.
Spore's company helps a lot with the emotional distress she feels from the aftermath. She wonders if he knows how grateful she is, not just for the solace, but also for not needing to be asked to provide it. She isn't very good at requesting help, no matter how much she wants it.
After a couple of days, she is feeling well, physically, at least. But oddly, her close call makes her feel reckless rather than cautious. She starts sneaking out at night with Rocky as her eerily silent companion while Spore is resting, seeking out games of chance in the seediest parts of the city. She isn't certain that she is actually fooling Spore, but she pretends that she is.
As for the others, Trystt gives Spore the green light to let them know that she is doing better, but doesn't answer any texts or calls herself. She does have a brief moment of levity recalling explaining to Spore that 'giving a green light' doesn't have anything to do with photosynthesis.
In a dazzling display of his hatred for giants, with Betsy whirling in his grip, Ghelryn jumps into the fray. With one mighty swing, he severs the tendons behind the giant's knees. When it hits the ground, he uses Betsy to split open its skull. As the light fades from her eyes, he coldly chants....
Trystt rips a panel off the wall and, standing on tiptoes,
This was awesome, by the way. Details like "standing on tiptoes" gives me that feeling of "Hey, my GM 'gets' me!" That feels great! Props and thank you!
Adir gives Burke a reassuring nod to say 'I hear you. I have this.' He follows LeBrix, listening. "I see. And what alerted you to the attempted theft?" Adir closes his eyes briefly, but otherwise does not react to Retzack's appearance.
"Yes, the body first, please, then upstairs. What I'm about to do might seem strange, but it will help us with the investigation." Adir shifts into a large, white wolf. He smells around the egg's location before heading to the body.
My intent is to find out whether or not the woman was near the egg. And anything else I can learn with heightened smell.
Shapeshifter:
When you call upon the spirits to change your shape, roll+Wis.
• On a 10+, hold 3.
• On a 7–9, hold 2.
• On a miss, hold 1 in addition to whatever the GM says.
You may take on the physical form of any species whose essence you have studied or who lives in your land: you and your possessions meld into a perfect copy of the species’ form. You have any innate abilities and weaknesses of the form: claws, wings, gills, breathing water instead of air. You still use your normal stats but some moves may be harder to trigger. The GM will also tell you one or more moves associated with your new form. Spend 1 hold to make that move. Once you’re out of hold, you return to your natural form. At any time, you may spend all your hold and revert to your natural form.
Only one question I'd like to pose to you, while you're thinking about bonds - do you hear the same voices I do? They might not be talking to you, but can you hear them anyway?
Proposition: There have been a few times that you have seen me shake my head and smile wryly when you have received instructions, but I have never spoken about it. You think so, but aren't certain. It's an expression that you've seen me use at other times as well.
Howdy, I'd like to submit Trystt for consideration. She is a magus/witch mechanically, though more witch than magus(debuffer/healer over melee fighter. I am flavoring her abilities as electrical manipulation. For example, most hexes are disruptions of the electrical current in the brain.
I used an unusual familiar from the Familiar Folio that I thought would suit her well if reflavored.
Please feel free to offer comments, suggestions, or advice, especially if there is something that you would like me to change. And, of course, thanks for running a game and any consideration that you give my submission.
-----Description:-----
Trystt is a small, slight young woman. Her skin is incredibly fair and her hair is a shocking blue. Her eyes have no discernible pupils or irises. She dresses simply, favoring a sleeveless robe, though she does have a blue cloth wrapped in a crisscross pattern around her right arm. Her long robe often seems to flutter in a breeze, even indoors. She is followed closely by her familiar, Rocky, a vaguely human-shaped cloud of granite dust.
Her demeanor and posture suggests defiance and ferocity. Her mood can change quickly, like the wind. Her intelligence and wit are just as likely to get her in trouble as they are to get her out.
Her power derives from her ability to manipulate electrical currents. She can use this ability to do remarkable things like quick healing, or even effects that resemble telekinesis or telepathy.
Childhood: Trystt was abandoned when she was born. She assumes it was because of her unnatural appearance. She grew up in the system, bouncing around foster homes where she was mostly ignored by both her foster parents and the other kids out of fear. She found a lot of solace in books because they never judged her.
Religion: Trystt doesn’t care for organized religions, but every time she looks at Rocky, she is reminded that there is something out there.
Strangers: Trystt is initially distrustful of people she doesn’t know. But if people can ever find a way past that, they would a fiercely loyal friend.
Fear: Trystt does not like confined spaces. She loves the outdoors and open spaces. Also, dolls… because they’re creepy as hell.
Talent: Trystt is really good at most card games, and especially poker.
Celebrity Crush: Captain America!!! Trystt was in one of the buildings that Cap evacuated during the Chitauri invasion. She credits him with saving her life and thinks he can do no wrong.
Shyness sings a quiet ditty as she works, almost under her breath. Her tone is upbeat; the imagery less so.
"Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
Throw in some web of spider,
To brew this delicious cider.
Bake in the wings of a butterfly
Maybe they won't fall out of the sky."
Shyness goes behind Cuddles, puts the broomstick between the legs of the armor(much to Nathan's delight for the visual), and wraps a tiny arm around the armor's waist after getting on herself. "This'll just take a second, I'm sure."
Shyness is having a friendly, animated, and decidedly one-sided conversation with the armor. She finally looks up, and in an exasperated tone, exclaims, "We have this." And she holds up her broom as if that explains everything.
"Well, I assume. As I understand, men don't usually have these." Shyness quite indelicately points out the protrusions on the armor's chest. "At least, so the books say."
Shyness' eyes widen more and more as Sora goes on with her lurid descriptions. "Go for anything?... slept his way?...," she squeaks out, revealing her own naivete. "Ysolde, is he a dream monster, a nightmare? I've read about those."
As for the pace, it's good. It certainly keeps me checking in. It seems like we'll be fairly ragged after this, though. I'm glad you let us have 3rd level.
Normally, I'd say that one should never give up an animal companion, but... in this campaign, it might be very difficult for an eidolon or companion to keep up power-wise. So, if there is something else that you want, go for it.
Following Eli's example, Shyness simply states, "Shyness." There is a sense that she is on the verge of sticking her tongue out at the mayor before she follows Eli out.
Shyness starts to fidget and look around the room as the mayor peruses the journal. When he finishes and asks his question, the naive girl doesn't realize she should hide her expression, and she is clearly looking at him as if he is a dunce. "How we know? Sister's book."
Her annoyance at having been told to be quiet by a squid may have carried over as she responded in time. "What, in particular, do you have against art, Sly?"
In a rather stuffy tone, Sly responds, "If you believe his dancing will be art, then perhaps you have something against it. Will you take him into a china shop as well?"
Shyness hesitates outside, looking between the opulent palace and the horses just off the crowd of the city streets. Seeking solace from the noise, she chooses the lesser of two evils and accompanies the group inside.
The City on a Hill, Resplendent, Gem of Theramark. It's massive. And, you're relieved to discover, it's still there.
Only those of you from York or Sharn have seen anything like the size of this city. You do not notice any obvious signs of fire, destruction, or panic. In fact, Resplendent seems to be in quite good condition, with many shining roofs, and full of hustle and bustle. At the very top of the hill sit several large gold-roofed palace-like buildings. The setting sun reflects orange rays off the roofs, and the sky is tinged with rosy light on pink and purple clouds.
It's quite a sight.
As the city comes into view, Shyness' eyes go wide in wonder at the sight. But as the group gets closer and the city-ness of it becomes more apparent, that wonder starts to shift. Her steps get slower and she is slowly drifting to the back of the group. She starts shaking her head and muttering to herself. "...so many...everywhere...noise..."
If no one asks for anything specific of her, Shyness kneels down to watch the spectacle of the wagon being repaired. Once it is done, she pokes at the repaired parts several times, testing them.
Shyness watches in fascination as the wagon is repaired, her eyes wide. "No stop!," she says excitedly to Marius, jumping up and down slightly, clapping her hands.
Shyness bends down and grabs the necklace. Looking much worse for wear, she walks it and the skewered imp to Eli. With only the merest hint of a grin, she holds them out to him. "Yours?"
