Alright, so right now I'm really torn between going straight Paladin (to get the full value of LoH, among other things), taking 1 level or Oracle (to be able to put Lifelink on one teammate who needs it most) or taking 4 levels of Oracle for the reasons mentioned above and grabbing Channel. Six 2d6 channels x 4 party members is almost like getting 24 free Cure Lights Wounds spells every day...

That's part of the reason I like the bracers so much. Despite being 4 levels behind as a paladin, my LoH aren't.

(Posting this as my 12th level Oradin)

I have a 1st level Tiefling Paladin burning a hole in my pocket, so I'm trying to decide what path to commit to. I do know that I'm going to be heavily in Lay on Hands. Couple of questions:

Should I take 1 level of Oracle or 3 levels or Oracle? Lifelink is a given, but if I take those extra two levels, what else? Channel?

What Curse? My first impulse is Legalistic since it fits in with his Tiefling heritage and his Lawful nature but Powerless Prophecy intrigues me as well.

Which Paladin archetypes are the best to consider? Obviously Oath of Vengeance deserves consideration. I was thinking about Holy Guide, starting with Urban as my Favored Terrain; I just never seem to get much benefit out of most Mercies, but I'm not sure I want to put off Greater Mercy - am I considered to have the 'Mercy class feature' even if I haven't technically choosen any Mercies? Sacred Servant looks good too.

Any major erratta that I should be aware of? I can never seem to keep up with the ever-changing rules of PFS, much less the ever-changing rules of Pathfinder as a whole?

Thanks in advance!

There is no way one to do it as said by Hmm, but my advice.

4 levels of Oracle you don't lose a BAB and gain a second level spell. (Personally, I like Shield Other)

Paladin I prefer no Archetype - though Hospitaler is also a popular choice.

Curse - Like Lyric I went Deaf. Silent Spell casting is a major bonus, as is going last with life link running. Note: immunity to sonic effects IMO does not mean sonic damage (In real world terms that damage is from the pressure of the sound - like bass from speakers, though you'll get variation on this.)

Not any Errata I can think of that effected me though the Campaign Clarification on the Boots of the Earth did affect many Oradins (I never bought them)- oh and the Bracers of the Merciful Knight will be your friend and Fey Foundling is IMO the only feat requirement of the build.

Not really a question, but the desire for non-verbal communication seems to come up a lot. Found this trait in the Monster Summoner's Handbook:

Expressive Pantomime

You have learned to express yourself without having to depend on words. When attempting a Bluff check to deliver a secret message, you can take a –5 penalty on the check to communicate a simple message even to creatures that do not share a language with you. You cannot communicate with mindless creatures.

This is PFS legal.

Thanks, it really doesn't fill the need or desire most of us with deaf characters are looking for, but it's there.

A -5 penalty and having to invest in a skill (that as a paladin I'm never otherwise using) seems a bit ridiculous. The 7 INT Ulfen barabarian can express herself just fine in not 1 but two languages.

As the player of a deaf Oradin I'm familiar with the petition. (In fact I started playing the character just slightly before your petition went up). He's a seeker now, and was a ton of fun.

Sorry about the Tangent, but I was impressed with the change to Stealth in the CRB sixth printing. Used it soon after much to the surprise of my GM.

I wouldn't carry a Dwarf, they bite.

So, does that mean if I am wielding a reach weapon, but am also carrying a Dwarf, I threaten at both 10' and adjacent?

Only if you're a Half-Orc and the Dwarf is a Sorcerer. (and you're weapon is a whip and you have the appropriate feat.) Otherwise, you don't threaten at all, but the dwarf does adjacent.

M Tiefling (though he'll tell you gnome) Deaf Oracle (Life) 4/ Paladin 8

I hear a rumor that a lot of VOs play in PbP since they run so much in their local areas.

Also, congrats Iammars.

We're also getting away from occult stuff in the latter part of the season.

I hope when you say or type DOOM like that there are also jazz hands involved. Otherwise, you're missing the somatic component.

Psst. Nobody tell Dave about my slave-owning Paladin. I think he'll explode.

Don't worry his powers of badwrongfun declarations also come with regeneration. So, I've been told.

A 6-5 250 lb man lumbers into the Grand Lodge, readjusts the flail amulet on his breast and shakes out his blue hair (with just a tinge of black at the roots). And states, "well apparently there's no gnome quite like me among the ranks of the Seekers, and I'll be stuck here for a while before going out to adventure while they figure out what to do with me. Don't they know a gnome has to keep on adventuring and moving."

Sense Motive DC 10:
You'll notice he talks a bit louder than strictly necessary and his speech also has a slight accent. He also stares at people's mouths when they speak. He is in fact deaf.

Sense Motive DC ?:
No matter how high the roll you detect no lies about the statement. He was in fact raised by gnomes and believes himself to be one as well, if questioned he'll tell ask "what you've never heard of double gnomes, we're very rare." In fact he's a kyton-blooded tiefling found in the Varisian forests by a gnomish sorcerer and raised in Osirion.

Knowledge Religon DC 10:
He's a follower of Osiris, Lord of the Living

Sir Samson "the Gullible", it's an ironic nickname no one can lie to me, Del Bosque Paladin 8/Oracle 4 (Life) has attained the rank of seeker.

i am amazed you ever get to play anything if you actually go by unthinking RAW. I dont belive that any text can have meaning with out interpretation so in my mind to claim there is RAW dosent make sense.

Thanks for the help.
